It is a beautiful hotel, but it lacks a club member suite and a concierge. There were no robes in the room. The refrigerator they provide is just a pre-packed fridge. There is nothing available if you want to put something in the fridge. The room is beautiful and spacious...

It is a beautiful hotel, but it lacks a club member suite and a concierge. There were no robes in the room. The refrigerator they provide is just a pre-packed fridge. There is nothing available if you want to put something in the fridge. The room is beautiful and spacious and the bed very comfortable. They charge for overnight parking and a $30 misc fee. It gets expensive if you have a car, and we did. We would probably not choose to stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights before heading to Napa and it was perfect! The staff were very nice and they upgraded us to a larger room. We had a few drinks at the bar with the destination fee credit and they were great quality. The location is pretty great, right near Union Square, and public transportation was incredibly easy to get to. Bonus points for our rental car place being only one block away!

We had a wonderful weekend at the JW Marriott in SF. The staff was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Our room was well appointed with a cloud like bed that was heavenly. Centrally located to many tourist attractions. The onsite amenities were lovely with a fabulous bar and restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel and their amazing employees. We will be back! We are Bonvoy members. We were upgraded to a large room with king bed and big bathroom. Overall we were impressed especially for the price! Staff was very helpful. It’s nice that there is a 24 hour diner a block away, came in handy Saturday night.

The location of the hotel in Union Square in fantastic. Easy to catch an uber, a streetcar or walk to wherever you might need to go. The hotel lobby is beautiful, lots of space at the bar and in the restaurant. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite (I'm platinum with Marriott). It was a large room with a corner couch. The K bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with a standalone marble shower with 2 heads. It was quite luxurious. The staff are fantastic. They really helped us navigate the city, especially with APEC going on at the time. Two small issues. The hotel charges a resort fee of $25 per day. That gets you a bag, 2 free streetcar tickets, free drinks at happy hour and free dessert. The catch is to get your free drinks and dessert, you have to be at the hotel at just the right time. And they don't exactly make it convenient. My other issue is that this location does not have a concierge lounge. I've never been to a full service Marriott, let alone a JW Marriott that doesn't have a concierge lounge. Other than those 2 minor squabbles, we enjoyed the hotel.

The hotel was great, front desk and bell staff were very attentive and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff were wonderful as well. Clean public and rooms. Housekeeping was great on the days we used them. The room felt small for the JW standard, but given the location that is understandable. On the 12th floor the road/city noise couldn't be heard. The location was great, we walked everywhere plenty of shopping and dining options were walkable. Getting rideshare or tour pickups were very easy as well.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel. We found the late night bar staff was exceptionally friendly and provided great service right up until closing time. There is currently construction at the hotel’s entrance, so be aware when summoning Uber/Lyft rides. We will definitely stay here again!
