Convenient in the centre of Zermatt. 5 minute walk to the bus that takes you to all the lifts. Friendly staff. Comfortable room with a great shower. Nice homely feel to the hotel. Very good breakfast. Half board was tasty and more than enough food. We were picked up and dropped off at the station with all our luggage without question or extra charge. Bar and wine prices good for Zermatt. Good ski room with boot warmers. I really couldn’t fault the place. Are there more luxurious hotels in Zermatt? Undoubtedly but if you are looking for a cosy, smart, friendly place then this will fit the bill. Next time we go to Zermatt we wouldn’t look elsewhere

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Jagerhof. The staff was so kind and welcoming and the amenities were clean and cozy. After a long day of travel or ski day, this hotel was the perfect place to rest and re-charge. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Zermatt.

Everything was fantastic. The staff was great as well. The rooms were great. Although i with I could see more of the Matterhorn. From our room on the 2nd floor, we could only see the top of it. The beds were very comfortable but I know everyone's bed needs are different. So this is very subjective. The breakfast buffet is very basic and minimalistic, but still very delicious. Several breads, grains and cheeses. Simple eggs, bacon, waffles and pancakes. I loved their coffee. This is not a high end hotel that makes it amazing on a grand scale, but still amazing in my opinion. We are already planning a trip back to the Jaergerhof for next year.

The apartment was advertised as a “double” and whilst there was lots room, the bed was simply two singles pushed together. This made for a very sad and unromantic stay. Otherwise the place was very pleasant. Not too far from the centre of town.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room had everything you needed, was a good size and well presented. The property was well located to explore Zermatt and the surrounds. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Upon request they will also provide to/from train station transportation. Otherwise it is about a 15 min walk. We were picked up upon arrival but walked back for departure. My only word of caution is to double check the type of room when you book. We booked a room with a mountain view and paid extra for it. See the nice picture of the Matterhorn on their website. Well we didn't get that. We were on the second floor (since it is Europe it may have been the first floor) and all we could see was the tip of a mountain). But then again we didn't spend alot of time in the room. Otherwise everything was great and we'd recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our balcony room was clean, modern and the size was great with wonderful views of the Matterhorn. The shuttle to and from the train station was very convenient. The hotel is about an easy 8-10 minute walk from the shopping main drag, and there are closer restaurants, bakeries and shopping which are very good. The hotel included breakfast was the best we had during our8 day stay in Switzerland. In sum, we highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jaegerhof. Our room was large, modern & comfortable, and we had a great view of Matterhorn's crown. All staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfasts & dinners at the hotel restaurant were very good. We would definitely stay at Jaegerhof again.

This family-run hotel was in a great location in a quiet part of Zermatt, but only a 10 walk from the main street. They picked us up at the train station in their electric vehicle. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and we were so glad we opted for a room with a Matterhorn view. The included breakfast buffet was good, as was the fondue we had for dinner one evening. We would definitely recommend the Jagerhof!

We stayed at the start of our holiday round Southern Europe, and we're not disappointed by Zermatt or the Jagerhof Hotel. The hotel is superb, nicely located and run by warm, professional staff and management. Our room, 110, was very spacious and comfortable, although we would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room to make it easier to enjoy the balcony. Oh, and reduce the height of the tree in front of the room, it covers the Matterhorn! Food quality was good, and bar prices sensible compared to the rest of the towns pricing. A great hotel to stay at, started the holiday off perfectly. Thank you.

Very nice hotel away from main area but still very close walking distance to everything. Seemed like a fairly new hotel as was impeccably clean and new looking. Staff (Nico) were amazing and very informative on so many subjects. You can get picked up and taken back to the main train station at no cost by a shuttle they operate which takes only 5 minutes. The rooms are very nice and modern with lovely touches. We didn't;t have the view of the Matterhorn but it was still quiet and very pleasant sitting on our balcony overlooking the garden area. There is a restaurant and bar area downstairs although please ask for a very, very clear instruction on how to order meals as we were totally confused and paid a lot more than what we thought we were told. If you book through the hotel direct they give you a 30 euro cash back which you can only use in the hotel. Nice stay and thanks again Nico for the service.
