Our bure had everything we needed - even a small dishwasher. The pool was great at the end of long hot days cycling and walking. Good location. My hubby left his wallet in the room, the cleaner handed it in and Rachel, the owner, freighted it back to Townsville on the ferry that day. What a life-saver!

Annual holiday to Island Leisure and Maggie Island just love staying in this home away from home feel management and staff fantastic and treat all as special guests well maintained with a lovely pool and spotless easy walk to local shops - restaurants - cafes - even walkable from ferry dock however bus drivers are more then happy to drop off at the door the magic of Magnetic Island is it does keep drawing you back especially to this resort

We were at Magnetic Island for 5 days with a couple of diving days included. Island Leisure Resort was a great place for our stay, close to Nelly Bay and Jenny and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room had very comfortable QS and Single bed, kitchenette with microwave, full size fridge, hotplates, cooking utensils, kettle and toaster. We were also able to get a coffee plunger. The bathroom was large with a screen-less shower, plenty of towels and toilet paper supplied. A TV was mounted high up on the wall and there was a reverse cycle air-conditioner. A small outdoor area was nice for the afternoon sun. They don't service the rooms during your stay, which we prefer. The WiFi is free and works well. Getting there from the ferry, we walked with our bags but in hindsight we should have caught the bus or a taxi, an easy walk with no bags. Taxis are $15 to almost anywhere I think and the bus is an excellent way to get around the island. We bought a week's pass and used it every day. There was a pool and laundry, tennis court, and also a games room with table tennis and a small kiosk for any essentials you need. Foodland is a short walk up the road and there's a pharmacy and bottle shop there as well. Overall it was a comfortable and quiet place to stay and had everything we needed. We would stay again if we come back to Maggie.

Absolutely beautiful little resort with amazing amenities, rooms and facilities, check in was made so easy even though we arrived after hours and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming with helpful information regarding the island. Will definitely stay again and couldn't recommend more highly.

Only thing (and this is us, we’re a bit precious) was the bathroom wasn’t fully enclosed. We turned the tv up so we couldn’t hear each other on the loo. 😂 Nice pool, great location close to shops and restaurants. The bus stop nearby is handy. Day pass on bus $9.60 per couple. Cash only

Amazing quiet, tropical gem , clean rooms very welcoming staff & fully self-contained bungalow . Everything is close walking distance. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed everything about this place . Definitely well worth a visit & price is good .

Lovely place, well maintained and very friendly staff. Nice bungalows with everything you need and close to many amenities. Good pool area, nothing bad at all to say about this place. Very family friendly and goid for longer stays. Been here a few times and will be back.

The gem of the property is Jenni who makes sure that she attends to any request that will make your stay more enjoyable as well as giving valuable tips about what to do and where to see. We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. If you want to participate in a cruise activity make sure that you book early.

Our second stay on Magnetic and the first stay at this resort and absolutely love it - staff are great very helpful with information about Magnetic and things to do - units very comfortable and spotlessly clean and well stocked with all you need plus you have a private outdoor area - the gardens are lovely with a great pool setting - walking distance to shops restaurants etc and bus stop a few step in one direction and beach a few steps in the other only downside was our holiday was over and we had to leave but only till next year as many other people we met there we will be returning year after year

Island Leisure Resort is the best place to stay whilst on Magnetic Island. We’ve been here twice now, one week in April and one week in August. Extremely well managed by mother and daughter team Jenni and Rachel and nothing is difficult for them to assist you with any questions you may have. Great advantages being an ex serving defence member as well. Close to Foodworks and most places, recommend you get a weekly bus ticket as a cost effective way to spend time on “Maggie”. We’ve booked again for 2023, so book in early it’s a popular place.

What a great resort to stay, just been here for 2 weeks, and can’t speak highly enough of this place. Firstly the staff, attentive, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The superior villa, was very clean, comfortable and a home away from home. Pool area is spacious with a generous amount of recliners, chairs, BBQ area and plenty of shade. Recreation room had books, games, beach towels, pool table, ping pong table just to name a few. Adjoining laundry was very clean, with plenty of irons, boards, Airer’s and basket’s available. Machines and Dryers take $1 coins. The grounds are well presented and is a tropical oasis. The tennis court, which we did not use, is behind pool area. Our interactions with the staff was above and beyond our expectations. When my husband unfortunately turned ill and we needed to extend a few days, this was made possible for us. Paula very kindly made chicken soup, Rachel went to the chemist and even dropped of some lemonade. We found Island Leisure Resort ticked all our boxes, affordable, clean, close to beach, wallabies, eating out, bus stops and a 15 minute walk to the ferry terminal and Iga. We have even booked to come back next year. Thank you for a lovely holiday girls.

This hidden little bure style accommodation was just perfect . the room was large spacious and had everything in it. Loved all the gardens and surroundings which made it private and quiet. So convenient for the rest of the island with the bus right outside the door. And walking distance from the ferry. Lovely pool with lots of shade and fantastic staff to help all your needs.
