The staff was very welcoming and kind. Only the house keeping should bear in mind not to move private things around and keeping things rather we left them. But after we communicated that, all was good.

September 2024, Hotel Vilon located in an alleyway we were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous interior! The lovely staff were very accommodating reserving white taxi for our departure however we did rely on our own restaurants. Hotel room was very comfortable and spacious with a beautiful view and a terrace down the hall. Very clean! Delicious breakfast with so many buffet choices. Gorgeous lounging area and beautiful old world bar. Only downside was in all of Rome you can smell the sewer systems. I immediately told front desk and they put oil wick bottles huge ones in halls. We cranked up the a/c and it kept the oder away.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The rooms and decor are stunning, with an eclectic but inviting lobby, dining space, and outdoor garden. The hotel is located on a beautiful quiet street. The staff could not be more friendly or more helpful. They were able to find us a last minute dinner reservation when our original reservation fell through and were always available to help us find a taxi or with a bottle of water. This is an exceptional hotel with an incredible team behind it. I hope to return!

Truly lovely hotel in Campo Marzia, right off the Via del Corso. My partner and I had a wonderful couple of days at this gorgeous boutique gem. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and professional. The whole staff seems like a family. They made us feel completely at home. Would recommend this to anyone. Great breakfasts! Fantastic cocktails. Such a stylish place. And great air conditioning. On our first night, as we were leaving for dinner, i asked the front desk how to adjust the A/C in our room. The charming man at the front desk said, "just tell me what temperature you would like and I can do it from here." When we came back, our room was delightfully cool at exactly the temp we requested. And in July, it makes a difference! Thanks to the amazing staff. You made our trip so special. The highlight of our two weeks in Italy. We'll definitely be back.

We enjoyed the radio with Italian music, it immersed us in the vibe of Rome. The food is excellent, especially breakfast. The tableware deserves special praise! The patio is so cosy, we liked spend there our breakfast. Receptionists were very kind with us, except one moment, when we asked to book a table in a restaurant, and we were told that we dont need a reservation, cause we would find easily a table, not a lot of people. And as a result we came to the restaurant and there were no place. Anyway, we enjoyed a lot our stay in Vilón and beautiful Rome.

We were guests at Hotel Vilon. Great location, cool design, quite mediocre food but the real issue was two situations in which the employees were speaking badly, in Italian, about other guests and about. They assumed our Italian wasn't good enough to understand. One situation involved a guest asking if the tap water was clean enough to drink. The employee said yes, but then turned to another employee admitted to not having understood what they were asking and when the other employee told them, the employee called them idiots.

Totally wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, the people are friendly and very helpful, and dinner was the best. Looking forward to coming back.
Did I say the room was gorgeous and the pasta at dinner is not to be missed. Amatriciana was beyond any dish I’ve had before.

We acutally stayed at the Palazzo Vilon adjacent to the hotel. It consisted of three rooms/Suites. It felt so very exclusive and we were welcomed by the lovely Marina, Helena and Elias who took exquisite care of us throughout. Our room was the junior suite and though there was not a separate living room is was quite spacious. The bathroom was very nice and though in a 15th century Palazzo everything in the interior was updated. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was served in this elegant long dining hall and consisted of every sort of pastry and bread and fruit plus eggs to order you can imagine. They were able to organize a small cocktail party one evening before dinner for soem friends who were also in Rome. If you have the opportuntiy to stay here I would not miss it.
The location is excellent but be aware that the driver may be confused as to which property you are staying at - the Palazzo is just down the street from the Hotel.

And the offerings in the lounge are great, too.

My wife and I just spent three nights here prior to a cruise. This was our second time in Rome and the first time at Hotel Vilon. Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is perfect, walking distance to most major attractions, yet located on a very quiet side street. When we were in our room, or sitting on our balcony, it was hard to believe we were in the center of Rome… The staff here are absolutely top notch, very knowledgeable and very friendly as well. We really felt at ease here. We took a terrace room and very much enjoyed the terrace, which overlooked a courtyard that is ringed by statues. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Great bar and Andrea is definitely a master mixologist! Fun to watch him work. Excellent breakfast as well! They have a restaurant here that we did not have the opportunity to visit this trip, but the night we arrived we did have a light meal in the bar which was really very good, cacio y pepe for me and a chicken caesar salad for my wife. We will be returning to Rome again next year and will DEFINITELY come back to Hotel Vilon!

From the moment we stepped inside this sanctuary we were treated like royalty! Every member of the staff treated us like we were the only guests at the palace. They even remembered that my husband wanted real butter for his toast. It was also like they knew exactly when we left for dinner and replaced all of our towels! The restaurant and bar staff were the absolute best! We even had the honor of breaking in the newest member “Frederico” who is surely to be one of their best assets. He is friendly and attentive in exactly the perfect way! This property is for those who like nice things. Well done.

Wow!
We spent 5 nights at Hotel Vilon, ending on 4 July.
The suite we had was beautiful, comfortable and included everything we needed for our stay. Absolutely perfect room.
The location of the hotel is super for getting to everything you might want to see or do on a vacation in Rome. We walked everywhere, because everything was in walking distance. At the same time, the location is quiet and out of the way of traffic and noise.
Better than the room and the location, though, was the people. The service we consistently received was personal, attentive, professional, helpful — at the front desk, in the restaurant in the morning, at the bar at night, etc. Consistently charming and helpful people who made our stay in this beautiful city even better.
We would happily stay in Hotel Vilon any time we are in Rome.
