We chose to go to Montreal out of solidarity with our Canadian friends and neighbors. This hotel exceeded all expectations. From the minute we pulled up, we were treated like absolute royalty. Jonathan, the Concierge, took charge and made spectacular dinner reservations. Every single staff member that we encountered was professional, friendly, and helpful. The room was immaculate, and the bed, the linens, and the pillows were sublime! We had breakfast in the hotel each morning, and it was perfect. Melissa was a stand-out! She gave us perfect service and added some great conversation and tips for exploring. I highly recommend this delightful hotel and will return.

Our experience was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was luxurious and the location is ideal for those who want to walk Old Montreal streets. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Basilica, close to Rue St-Paul (5 minute walk) and surrounded by amazing restaurants.

Our first choice of hotel was not available. A little additional research led us to this gem. We can honestly say that it turned out to be the better choice! The entire staff from beginning to end were amazingly pleasant and helpful. What a joy it was to be greeted...

The entire staff from beginning to end were amazingly pleasant and helpful. What a joy it was to be greeted upon arrival by a smiling and friendly valet and bellman. Front desk staff and Ricardo (Concierge) were equally amazing. The room was well designed and appointed. Excellent quality food provided for breakfast. The location was ideal for our needs as well. Overall, we can attest that this was one of the most pleasant hotel stays we have experienced in years of travel. Looking forward to a future stay in this location!

We had a great experience! Hotel was clean and comfortable. Even though there was construction in and around the area, the location was great as a base to explore the city. Staff was excellent all around. Will stay there again.

Wow. We came for our 30 year Anniversary and couldn't have been treated better. The staff is amazing and went above and beyond to make things really special for us. The rooms are elegant, spacious and comfortable, the location is unbeatable for going anywhere in the city center/old town you want to go and the restaurant is lovely. A top tier hotel experience! We will be back.

I LOVE this hotel in the heart of old Montreal. Great location. Great staff. Great restaurant and bar. I’ve stayed here at least five times and have no intention of staying anywhere else when I visit Montreal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at the Place d'Armes. We didn't realize when making our reservation just how conveniently it's located -- particularly if you're planning to visit the cathedral. (Literally one block away.) Beautiful hotel with great customer service, easy valet experience and a very good breakfast (limited menu but the avocado toast with salad is exquisite). Went for a birthday weekend and waiting for us in the room ( large room!) was some bubbly and dessert tray. Gym was available 24/7 and...

Beautiful hotel with great customer service, easy valet experience and a very good breakfast (limited menu but the avocado toast with salad is exquisite). Went for a birthday weekend and waiting for us in the room ( large room!) was some bubbly and dessert tray. Gym was available 24/7 and the few times we went (early morning) it was empty. One negative: our room faced a nightclub and on two of our three nights there ( Fri and Sat) it was hard to sleep until the nightclub closed around 3 a.m. and the garbage pickup for the club was at 5 a.m. Next time I’d ask for a room facing a different street. Hotel is nicely located. BTW: the Japanese restaurant off the lobby was lovely….with whiskey tastings and sake tastings….plates were small but that’s the charm. Think of it as a Japanese tapas night.

Super chic, the architecture (superb) our room was spacious, clean and no bad view at all, 4th floor 404, location could not be be better, around the corner from Notre Dame , restaurants , cafes etc… another highlight from the hotel was Ricardo Ugalde our concierge… well this guy was on point with everything, attentive, gave us great recommendations and even went out his way to sent us to the room a “champagne Bottle and a charcuterie tray to celebrate our anniversary! Place D’Armes is a lovely hotel. I became ill during my stay.We are not Canadian citizens and didn’t know where to turn for medical help. Jonathon, the concierge, was so helpful, kind and professional. He booked an appointment for me at a clinic, paid for and reserved an Uber to the clinic, and sent a note with treats to our room expressing his hope that I was feeling better. I spent the better part of our stay in the hotel room but it was quiet and comfortable. Thank you for your kindness, Jonathon!
