This is a beautiful hotel in Old Town. I really liked the restaurant upstairs for dinner and breakfast. The view was beautiful. Staff and valets are very helpful. Rooms are large with very comfortable beds, refrigerator and coffee maker. I will caution that you can see through the glass between the bathroom and the bed, so take that into account if you are traveling with someone who does not usually see you without clothes. It is fine for a couple but might be awkward for others traveling together.

We had been driving 30 hours straight when we knew we had hit our limit and needed a place to stay with our two Labs in tow. We asked Chat GPT for a top reviewed, dog-friendly hotel with a valet. Choco came up and we loved the description and photos on the website and booked it at 7 pm from the road.
We arrived around 8 and pulled into the spacious driveway. The friendly valet helped us unload and get to our room with all the dog paraphernalia.
The receptionists were courteous and greeted our dogs with treats and water. They offered us free dog beds for our room, which was a bonus since theirs were too big to carry in.
The hotel is stunning to behold. It feels like part modern pueblo part New Mexico art museum. The rooms were spacious and the comfiest king bed and soft, cozy robes.
There is a perfect grassy area off the lobby where the dogs can relieve themselves. After going on gravel and dirt the last two states they were so happy to find grass.
The staff here all greeted us and were fun to chat with. The General Manager, Edward, greeted us and the dogs in the morning and pointed out another beautiful patch of grass for the girls to relax out by the pool/hot tub area. When we went to grab some coffee (complimentart!) and came back to the lobby, all our things (including hairy dog blankets) were loaded into our van!
We bought some smoothies from the charming Sawmill Food Hall right across the street.
We wished we’d had more time to stay and enjoy all the amenities (fitness and spa). We’ll be back to Chaco for sure!
Thank you everyone at Chaco for your warm hospitality!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Chaco during the first week of November 2024 for a short getaway. Part of the reason we chose Albuquerque was wanting to experience this particular hotel, and it did not disappoint.
We primarily interacted with the evening front desk staff, who were friendly, professional, and very accommodating to our basic requests. We booked the Deluxe King with Balcony, and it was incredible—spacious, beautifully decorated, a large bathroom and two separate balconies overlooking Sawmill Market and the mountains in the near distance. To our surprise, an unexpected snowfall overnight blanketed the mountains, creating a great view that made our stay even more memorable. The room was perfect for lounging after a day of sightseeing.
The entire hotel impressed us, from the welcoming and well-maintained lobby to the gym, pool area, and in-house shops. Its location in Old Town was ideal for dining and shopping, adding even more convenience to our trip.
We did experience two minor issues during our stay. First, the bathroom faucet handle was loose upon check-in and required maintenance to fix. Second, despite being approved for a late check-out at 1 PM, we received a call around 11 AM from staff inquiring if we planned to check out soon. This was a bit confusing, as both the evening and morning staff had confirmed the late check-out.
These were small inconveniences in an otherwise wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Chaco and would happily return in the future, and we recommend to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Chaco for 5 days while we attended the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.
We travel quite frequently and Hotel Chaco was one of the very best hotels we have stayed at. We were so impressed with how incredibly friendly and helpful every single person was.
We arrived and were warmly greeted by the gentleman at the Valet. Every interaction with the valet service during our stay was great. They were always very prompt, helpful and friendly.
Upon check in, we received another friendly welcome from the lady at the front desk. She asked if we were there for the Balloon Fiesta. We told her yes, she then gave us each a (very delicious!) balloon shaped cookie and post cards with the postage already attached. We filled them out and addressed them to our family and friends during our stay, and the hotel staff mailed them out for us. We thought was a really nice touch.
We checked into our room and it was very clean and was well supplied with all the needed amenities. Every interaction we had with housekeeping was fabulous, they were so kind and so wiling to assist with anything we needed.
We also ate the hotel restaurant, Level 5. The service was once again top notch and the food was delicious! We definitely recommend having at least one meal there.
This hotel is in a great location. The Saw Mill is right across the street, and Old Town is a very short walk from the hotel.
I also want to call out Matthew, who is the General Manager.
My husband and I stopped by the bar for a drink one afternoon after spending the first part of the day exploring the city. It was then that we discovered an afternoon tasting event hosted by Matthew.
We were cheerfully welcomed by Matthew and quickly realized we had stumbled upon a gem of an experience at the hotel! Matthew hosts various events and this afternoon’s event was an adult beverage tasting event. In addition to servings delicious drinks, he was the absolute nicest guy!
My husband and I had such a great time chatting with Matthew and he had so much knowledge of the area and history that he graciously share with us. We were also so impressed with his genuine top notch customer service. Not only did he treat us extremely well, he treated every single person with such kindness and respect, and he is so much fun to visit with!
I really can’t emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Chaco and if we find ourselves back in Albuquerque, we will absolutely be staying at the Hotel Chaco again, we highly recommend!

Lovely hotel, adjacent to the ever popular - Saw Mill.
Upon entering the room; I knew we erred by not booking a balcony room. The window in our room was small, dirty and overlooked a parking lot, hotel and the dumpsters below - dismal = The room did not receive much light. We requested to upgrade twice but they were unable to accommodate us.
We spent four days at Hotel Chaco. We were here to attend the Day of the Tread. We were surprised that there were no breakfast offerings (as early as we required) at the hotel before the events. We had to walk down the road to purchase food. *Consistent (early morning) coffee service in the lobby would have been appreciated as well.
The room was nicely appointed, the amenities acceptable. We loved the comfortable robes and appreciated the slippers.
The fitness center was one of the best we’ve used - it had everything you’d need, from yoga mats to Peloton machines.
Housekeeping was exceptional!
Victor and Edward were helpful and offered a wealth of information - thank you.
We will be back next year, and hope to book a balcony overlooking the pool.

Cons: Need to replace the mattress in room 232 (uncomfortable divots on both sides, flipping it over won't work. Beware, the shower temperature needs to be fixed - - water was scalding hot. The valets didn't show up Saturday morning, but we will be back.

Still in the midst of our stay, but this remains one of the best values in New Mexico. Rooms are large, impeccably furnished and comfortable. On this stay (one of many) our room was not ready (we were early) but the staff notified us promptly of a problem ( minor) and a staff member went up and personally checked out the problem and we were in our room. The location is next to Old Town, 12 minutes from the airport and across from the Saw Mill complex. The rooftop bar and restaurant are great. We have stayed as a return location for a Santa Fe trip for several years. And the prices are reasonable. Great place to stay.

I'm a sucker for high-end hotels, and during our recent stay at Hotel Chaco it hit all the high marks. First, kudos to the staff. Everyone from housekeeping, front desk, maintenance and pool workers, shopkeepers and the entire Level 5 staff were all exceedingly service-oriented and were unfailingly friendly, professional, knowledgeable and really quite delightful. The architecture pays proper homage to the ancient cultures, and the Native artwork is outstanding; subdued, enthralling and well-curated. Our suite was impeccable, with even more beautiful artwork. Level 5 for cocktails and dinner could not have been more pleasant, as was the Crafted Tasting Room which features quality New Mexican wines and spirits. The hotel is well situated to Albuquerque's impressive museums and Old Town. We live in Southern Colorado and are frequent visitors to nearby Taos, Santa Fe and vicinity. This time, we opted for an Amtrak trip (also delightful) to ABQ, and we can't wait to return to this great hotel.

What a fantastic hotel. 4.5 stars. Lovely room, small balcony but glad there was one, and comfy robes and slippers. Level 5 rooftop is a must for dinner and or drinks with a great view. Nice pool and jacuzzi and you feel very relaxed when walking into the lobby. The only thing I would change is to have the thermostat displays in all rooms off - the light was so bright on it when it was time to go to bed and the only way to turn it off is by contacting maintenance. They didn't come in time so we took the small blanket from the bed to cover it.

We had lost an item that was important to us when changing rooms and housekeeping found it and returned it the next day.
Every request was met with a smile and exceeded our expectations. Basically just a great hotel.
Nice view from the restaurant on the roof, but the food quality is mixed.

Hotel was very nice. Bathroom was gorgeous and the balcony was ginormous. Being next to the Sawmill Market was great. So many food options! The staff was amazing! Super helpful and ready with a water. My only real issue with the room itself was the pillows. They were feather. As a vegan this really creeped me out. I thought they were a thing of the past? I would definitely stay again with my own pillow.
