Located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Hotel Baia Delle Zagare is an ideal, remote honeymoon location for couples on the Gargano peninsula. The resort has a boutique feel but provides endless on-site activities for a romantic getaway. Situated on the shores of the Adriatic, you won’t find the flood of tourists that you’ll find on the Med.
About 2 hours from Bari, it makes for an ideal first stop on a weeks-long Puglia itinerary or the perfect spot to spend your entire trip if you’re after relaxation.
Rooms are divided between six Mediterranean-style villas which blend in with the surrounding landscape. Decorated in a cool modern style, there’s plenty of room and a spacious bathroom, even in the standard rooms. Upgrade for more space and sea views.
The pool overlooks the dramatic cliffside location and two elevators bring guests directly down to the resort’s two beaches. Guests will find umbrellas and chairs as well as complimentary kayaks at both beaches as well as a bar and restaurant on each side.
The hotel’s main restaurant serves an impeccable breakfast spread (included in the nightly rate) with outstanding views of the beaches and ocean below. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, with a rotating daily menu so guests will never get bored. Pre-dinner, enjoy a generous aperitif on the terrace overlooking the ocean.
The resort also has tennis courts and there’s an on-site gym and spa area for massages and facial treatments. If you want to get out on the water, you can book a reasonably-priced boat tour through the resort for a few hours at sea and the chance to explore the area’s grottos. The hotel can also arrange car transfers, walking tours, biking tours, a wine tasting, and a chef’s experience.
