Great location. You can tell staff are trying but this property had some issues. Mini fridge didn’t work but staff replaced quickly. There was only one trash can for the entire unit and bath. And it was tiny. No hot water in the bathroom sink. The TV service went out our second day for the whole property and was never restored before we left the next day. Communication with the front desk was easy via text. Staff were quick to respond.

Fantastic location to walk to old town or the sawmill. Everyone on staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Very clean. We had a little balcony that we could sort of see the mountains from but we didn’t have chairs to sit out there. The restaurant inside the hotel was delicious which I will review separately. Nice gift shop. Would definitely stay here again. On weekends they have Flamenco ballet which we didn’t get to see due to being there on a weekday but something worth checking into! Lovely hotel.

My wife and I stayed here on a trip in February 2025 for 4 nights. I'd stay again.
Location: about a five minute (safe) walk from Old Town, this hotel is next to a sister property (Hotel Chaco) and the Sawmill food court. The same company owns all three plus several other hotels in New Mexico. They try to capture the story of the culture of New Mexico in their properties. From the hotel we could easily walk to shopping, restaurants, and museums in Old Town. It was a short drive to the Downtown area and other museums. Plenty of onsite parking is available.
Cleanliness: Our room was very clean, with daily attention by housekeeping. The vinyl-wood floors in the room are relatively easy to keep clean, and the bottom of my feet stayed clean after walking on them - a sure sign that they are mopped. The overall property is also really clean and well kept. I saw staff doing paint touch ups and dusting of chandeliers in the tall lobby.
Room: Plenty of space, with drawers for clothes, a fridge, toiletries, and robes. Only complaint here was that it was easy to hear neighbors (or TVs in other rooms) as sound traveled easily through the doors and walls.
Ambiance: This hotel shines in this regard. There are lots of quiet and group seating areas, a beautiful relaxing courtyard, and places to work if you need to. The sister hotel next door has a whole different feel and I enjoyed sitting in the lobby.
Food: The hotel restaurant (Garduno's) specializes in New Mexican food. We ate here twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the prices were extremely reasonable. The Sawmill (about a 3 minute walk from the hotel) has a ton of reasonably priced food and drink options. We ate there quite a few times. The coffee shop there is good, as well as the pizza place, the noodle shop, and the french pastry shop with flowers.
Value: Room rates were reasonable with no upcharges for internet, water, fitness room, etc. Those were all included.

.The restaurant at this hotel has been pretty underwhelming the last couple of years but last night it seemed they'd pulled themselves out of the slump. Sometimes only Gardunos will satisfy a local's itch to "chip out" so we gave it another try. Our waiter, Shawn, was delightful, efficient and fun to talk to. House Margaritas we're surprisingly good and the trio of appetizers we ordered were generous and tasty. Chips were a bit stale and could have benefitted from a turn in the warning oven, but other than that we were very pleased we'd given them another chance.

I stayed at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town for a night while in transit between landing in Albuquerque and going onward the following day to Santa Fe. It turned out to be a great choice - the hotel was conveniently located a short car ride from the airport, and in the middle of a redeveloped area which had some great food and drink options for the evening at The Railyard development, a very short walking distance (about a block, without needing to cross any busy streets). I'd heard some stories about hotels in areas of Albuquerque that you wouldn't want to walk around in at night, but this area felt really safe and nice, no vagrants, etc.
The hotel itself was also nice, the interior had a distinctly New Mexico feel, and the staff were friendly. We asked housekeeping to bring us extra pillows and a blanket, and they were quick and friendly. The room itself was very spacious and clean, and felt like it had been recently refreshed or renovated. It isn't the most design-forward hotel room, but it was definitely nice and had some character in the room aesthetic. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The bathroom amenities were pretty lackluster, to be honest.
We tried to go to the hotel's restaurant for a quick dinner, as we were tired from a day of travel, but we were told it was full with a 45-60 minute wait (!) - to be honest, the restaurant looked a bit run down and overpriced, and we ended up walking across the street to the Railyard complex, with its big, modern food hall with tons of great dining options - which I'd recommend highly, and over eating at the hotel.
Also, the value proposition for this hotel felt just ok. Not a rip off, but definitely not a bargain. There were other hotels in the Albuquerque area that looked just as nice in terms of rooms, and a bit cheaper - but those hotels were located in what seemed like less pleasant parts of town. This hotel felt like it was commanding a slight premium for being in a rejuvenated part of town.

We spent two nights at this hotel and the location is very good only 3-4 minutes walk from the old town. There is no breakfast buffet but the breakfast dishes are quite good. No possibility for cafe latte or other special coffees. We had a room at the 9th floor with a great view of the city. The AirCon is very noisy and that is a problem if you are a light sleeper. Good bar and friendly staff, clean rooms and modern commodities.

Taylor was our server at Garduño’s restaurant, and she was amazing - quick, attentive, and very helpful! She even went and found someone to stabilize our rocking table! The food was also amazing - large portions and delicious. Loved the atmosphere and live musician.

It was our last night on a long drive to Arizona from Wisconsin. We decided to make it a third stop for the night before pushing on to Phoenix and I found this hotel at dinner, booking the special rate. What a lovely place where we wished we had more time to spend!
The reservationist kind and helpful regarding our moving truck and where to park! And our check in representative was energetic and curious about our travels, sparking conversation even when I thought I was done with human interaction for the night.
A Southwestern pueblo architecture greeted us, with a towering Christmas tree in the front lobby. Our room had a pretty night view and I wondered if we were facing the Sandias! Equipped with comfy robes, quality toiletries and hot HOT shower water, we were dozing quite quickly after settling into a comfy king bed.
It was a sporadic romantic way to end a long time together cramped in the cab of a moving truck!
