We had a lovely room overlooking the ocean. It was spotless and comfortable. The pool is warm and inviting with comfortable chaises and an area for shaded respite from sunbathing. The breakfast is included and it is wonderfully cooked and served. Fresh juices, hot coffee, eggs cooked to perfection and wonderful toast. There is a honor bar with a variety of drinks ranging from rum to cold water. Also on the honor system is chair and umbrella rental for the ocean. The Hacienda is a quiet refuge in an otherwise unfriendly world.

This is our third time staying here, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast menu is varied, and the food delicious, as are the sandwiches they prepare for you to take for your days on the beach. The pool is sparkling clear, and the view from the hotel is lovely. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully furnished with amazing murals throughout. Restaurants are no more than a 10 minute drive away. The honor bar is well-stocked, and the convenience of grabbing beach chairs and umbrellas to rent makes beach days so easy. Hacienda Tamarindo is one of a kind…don’t miss it.

We had an amazing stay at Hacienda Tamarindo. Even before we arrived on the island, Mayra and staff were VERY helpful and responsive. Gave us clutch tips on better ways to enjoy the island and things to do. Breakfast was tasty and peaceful under the tamarind tree. Good coffee. View from our room and private balcony was breathtaking. Pool was as pretty as the pictures and relaxing. Water pressure in the showers was really top notch. Felt like I washed 10 years of bug spray, sunscreen, and sand away. Towels and sheets clean. Take advantage of the beach chairs (free), coolers (free), beach towels (free), snorkel fins (small charge). We went for a romantic quiet stay and that’s what we got! If we come back to the island again, this is where we will stay.

We felt very well cared for during our 4 night stay in Vieques at this lovely hotel. The check in staff was so helpful and accommodating (wish we could remember her name, perhaps Maya) and gave us a great welcome tour with lots of tips. All of the little extras like having beach equipment, coolers, towels, and snacks/drinks available were great. The room (Casita 1, separate from the main building) was clean and a/c worked well. The bed and pillows were a little hard for our liking and several windows without curtains, along with the roosters, made for early mornings, but we are ok with that so we could get to the beaches sooner. They may want to provide some additional window coverings though. The patio had a lovely view of the sea and the horses and we tried to sit on it when we could, but beware, the mosquitoes are plentiful and vicious! Bring repellant and use the room spray they provide whenever you leave the room. Breakfast was hearty and well cooked, not a ton of variety but very good. And they will help arrange for earlier breakfasts when needed for a tour or departure - overall they were super accommodating to our needs and time frame. Location was nice, just a short 5-7 min drive to Esperanza.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at the Hacienda Tamarindo. The grounds and the location are breathtakingly beautiful, with the view of the Caribbean water, the pool, and the tamarind tree right in the middle of the building. The staff was so kind and helpful and provided very attentive service. It was so lovely to wake up each morning and go upstairs to a fresh cooked breakfast served to us. Through their honor system, you can access an array of drinks and snacks and anything you’d need for the beach (beach umbrellas, chairs, sunscreen…). The room was comfortable and everything was very clean and well maintained. It could only be better if they provided ear plugs because the local roosters do start making noise at 5am. It was a truly delightful stay and we can’t wait to go back!

We loved staying at the Hacienda Tamarindo. ALL of the people working there are super friendly and will do whatever it takes to make you feel at home. The property is beautiful and remote, quiet, tranquillo. Highly recommended. The views are outstanding. Wonderful location. The rooms are well equipped, nice and comfortable, very good AC if you need it. The pool is great. Take advantage of the local Tienda Verde store in Esperanza and stock up your in room fridge with water, beer, wine, snacks, etc.. Again, the staff there are wonderful and so nice. We'll be back. The breakfast is excellent as are the lunches they make for you to take to the beach. Easy access, short drives to the great beaches of Vieques. Very close to Esperanza, super short drive. You definitely need a car in Vieques if you are planning to go anywhere such as the store, beach, restaurants, etc... There is a local rooster that can be annoying sometimes in the morning, but you get used to it and they are trying to relocate him if possible.

Beautiful place, wondrous views, wonderful people who work here This is our third stay and our kids have also stayed. The hacienda is an old mansion on a hill overlooking a long field, where horses graze, and roosters squak, to the sea below, a wondrous turquoise ocean that changes color with the light. The breakfasts are served on a veranda and offer sumptuous cereal, egged any style, and strong coffee. Great way to start the day. Mayra, oversees every detail, from the pool, a gorgeous one overlooking the sea, to the provision of towels and other amenities. Mayra is totally approachable and helpful in orienting us to where in the island to visit, etc. She’s the queen with the common touch. The rooms are basic but comfortable. I recommend ones with a king bed, especially if your partner is a kicker. Our ten day stay was totally relaxing, and we visited gorgeous beaches.
