We spent three glorious nights at The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful but what made our stay was the staff. From the moment we pulled our car through the gates, the staff could not have been more helpful. They were exceptional. Daniele, the bar manager and his staff Annabel, Valentina and Natalie went out of their way to accommodate us. The concierge was also very helpful and encouraged us to take the ferry and hike to St Martin Church which was well worth it ... the view of Lake Como breathtaking. We hope to get back to Grand Hotel Serbelloni someday!

We did a little afternoon cocktail hour on the terrace outside, and met wonderful people who worked there, everyone was so friendly and inviting, the cocktails were delicious and the appetizers! They told us about the live jazz they have in the hotel at night, so we came back and it was a delight! Daniele made us the best sazerac’s, he brought out the bar cart and did it right there, it was an art!

This was our second stay here and my husband and I both came to the conclusion that we will never stay anywhere else while in Bellagio or Lake Como. The staff were very welcoming and we did receive a room upgrade upon arrival to a junior suite with a terrace and more views of the lake. The room was very relaxing. We love the array of foods for breakfast and honestly could not say anything more about the coffee other than it is outstanding. Best coffee of our entire trip. We absolutely love Serbelloni

This is a fantastic waterfront historic (family owned) hotel - on a beautiful property in Bellagio. We enjoyed everything about our stay - the staff are gracious and so accommodating, the breakfast is superb, the grounds are lovely and the gym is very good. Their location is very close to the main part of town and the waterfront ferries, and you can park onsite (with advance confirmation). We arrived via car ferry, and the drive through town is a bit of a challenge, very narrow roads and many pedestrians, but it can be done. If we had come in July or August, we would probably have used the swim platform and diving board but it was cooler in late September. The room we had was very nice and spacious with a nice balcony looking out on the town and church. We didn't have a chance to use the spa facilities, but they looked quite nice as did both pools. Highly recommend this hotel, and if you do be sure to wander and enjoy the grounds as well.

This must be the most beautiful hotel and not just because of its fantastic views, grand location and grounds, but because of the incredible people working there! We felt like part of their family, always taken care of and always met with a smile and warmth. A home way from home! Also worth mentioning is the bar and the incredible gin experience, one of the kind, just as the people behind it! We will definitely be returning!

Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is the best hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. Everything about the stay was perfect. The hotel itself is breath taking inside. The room was very comfortable, everywhere was extremely clean, the service was faultless, the food was exceptional, the staff were helpful and happy. The spa is a lovely additional touch. We stayed for 5 nights and couldn’t have wished for more. We will definitely return. The location is also perfect as Bellagio is busy but you feel a little tucked away but everything is still in easy walking distance. The hotel really couldn’t do more.

The Grand Villa Serbelloni was a truly magical experience! Set on the tip of Bellagio, the views of the lake in every direction are amazing! The hotel is old world Italian in decor and the staff is without question the most professional and attentive of any hotel we have stayed in. Our rooms were spotless, bed extremely comfortable, housekeeping refreshed our room twice each day a delicious full course breakfast is included in the room rate daily. We were so happy with this choice and recommend it highly! The fully staffed Concierge desk is happily available to arrange tours, transportation, boat trips, dinner reservations and spa appointments. Every person at the Concierge desk was very capable, especially Alessandro and Francisco! They will do all this in advance via email or once you have arrived. There are two beautiful pools, one in, one out. There is also direct lake access with a floating raft platform and another platform with a diving board. The hotel also has its pin private dock where the concierge can arrange your boat pick up. The hotel also has its how golf cart that can shuttle you to and from the closer restaurants and docks as needed. They also can arrange a private driver to take you to other locations. There is a fee of course but well worth the money as the roads on the Lake are very tricky. Ask for Luigi as your driver. He was great and full of entertaining stories! By the end of our first day, we were being greeted by name as though we had been on property forever! Each member of the hotel staff went above and beyond to make certain we had everything we needed. ******Above all of them though we must mention DANIELE! This kind man felt like our personal assistant. He was clearly very busy but always made time to stop and have a conversation with us and make certain our needs were being met. He was always smiling, professional and a wealth of knowledge of Bellagio and all of the Lake region. He is such an asset to this hotel. A true gem! We felt as though we were leaving a good friend on departure. Another special staff member that deserves mention is ANNABEL! Her infectious smile and personality lit up the room! She is full of energy and her desire to make your visit the best possible experience was delightful! It is clear to see that both DANIELE and ANNABEL love their positions at the hotel. We will miss you! BRAVO TO BOTH OF THEM!! I must also give a shout out to the 2 Luka’s, Magdalena and Natalie! They were all wonderful! Lastly, a few items. As wonderful as our stay at the hotel was, we did have a couple of not so great experiences with regard to meals. #1, MISTRAL which is at the hotel. The atmosphere is lovely and the service superb. The food was not. The veal dish was overcooked, the duck was just so/so and the price was astronomical! We booked this our first night thinking we would just lay low and unwind the first night. Not a good choice. Perhaps we hit an off night for the chef but with the experience we had and all of the other wonderful restaurants in Bellagio, we would not recommend this one. #2 Salice Blu - Bellagio. Chef Luigi is personable and very entertaining. Our mistake was booking the tasting menu. Small portions, most served cold, seared tuna was overcooked. We chose the 5 course tasting. The wine was delicious though. Unfortunately, the whole experience was 4 hours!!! Tables around us were ordering off the menu which definitely is the way to go if you dine there. Tables around us turned over at least 2 times while we waited between course. I will give major kudos to Chef Luigi though. No taxis were running by the time we finished our tasting so he graciously drove us back to the hotel! Thank you Luigi! Restaurant recommendations in Bellagio: La Punta - very good - great view of lake Carillon - very good Suisse - very good Nando - very good In Cernobbio: IL Gato Nero - Spectacular! Must make reservations and request view months in advance.

This was our 3rd Visit to this amazing hotel. We already knew how good it was but yet again it excelled our expectations. The new updated swimming pool & spa are worth a mention. The hotel has done an awesome job there. However, yet again it was the incredible staff that excelled in their duties. A special mention must go to Federica Venini, guest relations who welcomed us everyday, sometimes twice a day, Ensuring we were comfortable and attending all our needs. . Her attention to detail was exceptional. The wonderful gifts she arranged for us at the end of our visit was a generous and thoughtful touch. Also the one of the lounge and bar staff, Annabelle. Always greeting us with the biggest smile and genuine enthusiasm. She is a great asset to the already incredible team. A grand time at a Grand hotel with even grander staff… Grazie mille Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Lasciamo con voi un pezzo del nostro cuore...Arrivederci!

My wife and I just returned from 4 days at Villa Serbelloni. If you ever wanted to know what life would be like to be Italian royalty and live in a gorgeous 150 year old villa on Lake Como, then this is the place!! From the moment the gate opens onto the expansive courtyard, you are transported into a world of class, beauty and impeccable service. The location is perfect as it sits at the end of Bellagio on the point where the 3 sections of Lake Como converge. Although Bellagio gets busy during the day, Villa Serbelloni is gated and not open to non-guests. You are located in the town but not subject to its crowds once you are on the grounds. Villa Serbelloni is owned by the Bucher family and you feel like you are guests at their private villa as opposed to a typical hotel. Paolo Bucher was at the reception desk and checked us in himself. The whole experience was very personal. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to give 5-Star Service and their attention to detail was unmatched. The Deluxe Room with Lake View had extremely tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. The furniture was classic elegance and the bathroom very large and modern with a separate water closet. After traveling around the world and staying at many 5-Star Properties, I can easily say that Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is a step above and there is nothing that could have been done or changed to make it any more of an incredible experience!

We stayed at the stunning hotel for our anniversary. The location of the hotel cannot be beaten with amazing views over the lake and conveniently in the heart of Bellagio. The hotel itself is beautiful and also has amazing grounds. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the gardens and the lake and was beautiful with lots of room and everything you could ask for. The food at this hotel was great. Breakfast was brilliant. We only ate at the Mistral restaurant once and found it extremely pricey but this was to be expected. The staff were fantastic. Special mention to all the staff at this hotel as they really do make you stay special. Everyone is so friendly and professional and we really made use of the front concierge desk as they helped us every day with our travel plans and dining out recommendations. Thank you!

Years ago we stayed in Lake Como and peeked through the gates of Villa Serbeloni and wondered if it was as wonderful as it looked. I can now answer Yes it is! The staff is warm and welcoming and always helpful. The pool was spectacular with a view overlooking Lake. The outdoor eating areas were picture perfect. You are within walking distance of anything you could possibly need but you really don't want to leave the hotel and pool area because it's so stunning.

This year, my wife and I finally visited Lake Como and had the good fortune of staying at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni... and didn't want to leave. Bellagio and Serbelloni exceeded our expectation on every level! The walkability of this hotel really sets it apart. Having access to swim in the lake and in the pool was perfect. The rooms were so spacious and comfortable, along with the stunning view of the balcony. At the end of each night, we would saddle up to the bar area and have the best martinis (including espresso martinis) from Alessandro Buonadonna and his staff. They also make the most amazing tuna tapas to snack on while drinking. I'd go back again in a heartbeat for the cocktails, the views, the pool/beach, and the tuna dish! I wouldn't change one thing about our 4-night stay.

Amazing hotel. Amazing views. There are other 5 star hotels on the lake but the ones in the south have much worse views. The hotel is pristine and seems new...not overly painted. It's like your taken back 150 years ago but somehow there is air-conditioning. There is a big fancy hotel across the lake that is as old but not nearly as well maintained. Do Not hesitate booking this hotel...make sure you get a room with a balcony...room 154 was fantastic! Extra room suite...it was also super close to breakfast and had amazing views. If I go back to como I will stay there again over grand hotel tremezzo which we stayed at also. If there is anything negative...the tasting menu at mistral was so so, but the ambience was amazing.

We very much enjoyed the informal dining option on the terrace overlooking the lake. The staff on the terrace were local, wonderfully helpful and always created time to answer questions and respond to any request. A special mention to Annabele, Valentina and the ever youthful Daniele - thank you.

This is a wonderful treat; the service is exceptional, one of the prettiest terraces in the world and right in town. Shout out to Daniel on the terrace and all the lovely staff. It’s an easy walk from the ferry but away from the busyness of Bellagio.

This hotel is worth every penny, especially if you book well in advance. The staff are great, the lake access & location are perfect - you will frankly not want to leave the property. (Although you should explore.) Did not eat at Mistral but Goleta was great.
