We had a wonderful stay here. This was booked by my husband as a sunrise for my birthday. We received a free upgrade which was lovely. The hotel is in a perfect location right in the centre of town, and despite its central location there is no noise that can be heard. The reception staff were exceptional. All of them. They spoke brilliant English too. The bathroom was very nice in our hotel. A double shower. Lots of toiletries. Automatic soft lighting triggered in the middle of the night. I wish I had such a bathroom. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which wa nice but wasn’t the best meal we had there. The breakfast is great that it is included and there are a lot of great choices.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in the Grand Majestic. We were so pleasantly surprised to get a room upgrade to a deluxe room, a really nice large room. We had lovely crisp linen sheets, luxury. Great room make up and cleaning service. The staff were super friendly including the door man always welcoming. The hotel is beautiful with marble corridors very smart. The reception has a quaint old fashioned feel where you leave your room key when going out. Breakfast provides all you need {personally I would prefer a better quality sausage} Great location with a supermarket directly across the road for those little extras one might like. We really liked this hotel and I would stay here again. Perfect.

My wife and I visited Bologna for the first time and stayed for three nights at the Grand Hotel Majestic. We absolutely loved the hotel. The location is fantastically located in the center of so many beautiful and historic sites. The staff at the hotel were a big part of the reason we enjoyed Bologna so much. Special thanks and recognition to Julia and both Veronica's for helping us with our many questions and shifting restaurant needs. They, and all the staff, were always cheerful and ready to help us. The room was well-appointed and clean. The service throughout the hotel was top notch. This was one of our best hotel experiences ever. Grazie mille!

You cannot beat the location of the hotel. Even better than the location, is the amazing staff - from management to housekeeping. They will know your name and anticipate your needs. There are many hotels from choose from, but the service the hotel provides is a rare gem.

Recently stayed 4 nights at Grand Hotel Majestic GB and it was the most perfect experience. All the staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hotel is so beautiful and charming, you feel like you are royalty from another century. Our room was spacious and comfortable, beautifully decorated. The breakfast has everything you want and more. The restaurant I Carracci was one of the best meals we had. The location is perfect, close to everything. If you want to treat yourself stay at this fabulous hotel.

The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, extremely cleanly room, the cleaning staff was great, the food was great in the restaurant in room service. I would stay here again every time. It was conveniently located not far from Pizza maggiore and train.

A beautiful hotel with top-notch staff. The room was gorgeous, the bathroom was huge, and the amenities were abundant. It blew me away that they even provided makeup remover (I've never seen that before in a hotel - such a small touch but so appreciated). And the breakfasts...outstanding! Great location...

This is a beautiful hotel and in a great location. You couldn’t ask for a nicer hotel and rooms. Easy walk to the sights. Most importantly the staff here is just amazing. From the moment we arrived they seemed genuinely happy to see us and help us. The actually walked us up to our room to show us the features. When you come back from activities outside the hotel they seem to instantly remember you and provide you with your key. In the dining areas the service has been equally prompt and pleasant. Staying here was a luxurious treat.

Every member of staff was extremely polite and helpful and really made the stay, The hotel itself has a well kept air of grand opulence and is very much what one expects from a five star establishment. The Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni" is more luxurious and warm than one could imagine. Having stayed there more than 10 times in the last 10 years it has become the most glorious and hospitable hotel in all of Italy for us (and we have stayed at MANY others in different locations). When in Bologna and Modena it is home. The staff is warm and friendly ... can't do enough to please. It starts at the top with the GM, Tiberio and the warmest, most sincere, hug and handshake and travels through to even our sweet, smiling housekeeper, Denisse, who couldn't do enough to make our stay special ... filling our time there with such genuine happiness. The food in the restaurant and bar is incomparable, a gastronomic delight not to be missed (even to the smallest luncheon salad), but we must give a sincere shout out again to the staff - even the most exceptional hotel would be just brick and mortar without the quality people. Rooms small but luxurious. Staff phenomenal and friendly. Food excellent. Breakfast included could be more extensive. Centrally located and super convenient. Deinks every night in bar great although snick snacks w drinks average. Loved the hotel. Like staying in a palace and w linen sheets no less. Highly recommend.

This hotel, in the middle of Bologna, is about as good as it gets. The more traditional decor might not be for everybody but we would highly recommend you give it a try. Every member of staff we encountered were professional, friendly and so helpful. The room was pleasantly cool, much needed in that heatwave Bologna had. Everything was comfortable, clean and done just right. Coffee at breakfast was the best we had.

We had an amazing stay at the Grand Hotel Majestic Gia Baglioni. My partner was presenting at a conference in Bologna and I surprised him by combining a world class vacation into the trip. The hotel has a perfect location for exploring Bologna. Just down the street from Piazza Maggiore...

We had an amazing stay at the Grand Hotel Majestic Gia Baglioni. My partner was presenting at a conference in Bologna and I surprised him by combining a world class vacation into the trip. The hotel has a perfect location for exploring Bologna. Just down the street from Piazza Maggiore and Neptune's fountain. Just across the street from the Cathedral of Saint Peter or a short ride to the central train station to take you to the rest of Italy should you choose. When we arrived we were upgraded to a Suite on the first floor overlooking Via dell'Indipendenza. Furnished with wonderful antiques the room had large sitting area, desk for working, large dressing area with more than enough closet space. The bathroom was very well done. There was minimal if any street noise we could hear with the windows and drapes closed, but during the day we would open the windows for fresh air and to hear the activity on Via dell'Indipendenza, The service was impeccable. Greeted warmly each morning for breakfast that was include with our room. It was a very nice and large assortment with wonderful cheeses, fruits, pastries and made to order dishes. Exceptional dinner at "I Carracci", which will go in my book as one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. We opted for the Chef's Choice 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The Chef is an amazing person but more on that a little further down. All of staff were exceptional. A few stood out to us for their help, support, and participation in our vacation. Raffaela from guest services who helped us by directing us to a place we could repair a pair of eyeglasses, Domenico from the Café Marinetti who was very personable and took very good care of us, Stefano (Sean) from I Carracci, Caterina from Guest Services, and Chef Agostino Schettino. The highpoint of our entire trip was The Five Senses - Gastronomic Experience. We were able to spend the day with Chef Shettino, Catarina and Stefano. We started with a tour of the markets and a light early morning meal. On this excursion we purchased meat from the butcher, fresh vegetables from the market, and other products. We returned to the hotel and were given a cooking class, teaching us how to make Tagliatelle with Bolognese Ragu, Tortelloni with ricotta cheese filling, and Tortellini in Parmegiano Reggiano cream all from scratch. We had a wonderful magical time. My partner and I still talk about this experience, and have made each of these dishes since returning home, it reminds us of our magical week at the Grand Hotel Majestic gia Baglioni.

They brought a floor fan. Opening the window made it even hotter. The bed sags to the middle. For $800 a night, this doesn’t get the job done.
