We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was perfectly located in the midst of Mazatlan’s historical district. The beds were very comfy and any minor requests we had were taken care of quickly. Staff were very efficient and friendly. It was also quiet!

This is a small hotel that sits steps away from Olas Altas Beach, The Mazatlan Cathedral and Machado Square. Lots of great nightlife. The rooms are very nice and the restaurant is excellent. Our waiter, Emilio, was wonderful each morning for breakfast. There is no pool, but the price is so reasonable, that this hotel rates four stars even without it. Very friendly staff that will go out of your way to make your stay enjoyable. Even with my very limited Spanish, I was able to communicate with everyone.

We stayed at the Inn for three nights, February 20 to 23. We knew there was construction going on, however on our third day the workers were sanding the walls and ceilings of the third floor - our floor. When we arrived back to our room in the mid afternoon we could not see to the end of the hallway due to the dust. Our door and door handle were covered with a layer of dust so when we entered our room, we ended up covered with dust - on our hands, our pants and shirts. Everything in our room was covered with a film of plaster dust, our clothing stored in the cupboard, our suitcases, the bed, floor etc. When we went to the desk to suggest that they put in a fan or provide some additional help to the housekeeper who had swept up a ton of dust already, we did not receive any feedback. We asked for clean towels, explaining we needed to dust the entire room, including our clothing and they provided us with clean towels. Up until today, the staff at the desk were always helpful. The restaurant staff in the Papagayo are excellent. Try the mushroom soup it is really good. The hotel is well situated in the historic district and the room up until this afternoon was clean. There is no place to put luggage except on the floor and a hairdryer is available at the front desk. I would recommend this hotel if you want a central location but would wait until the renovations are complete.

This is a nice hotel located in the historic district two blocks from the Plaza Machado. The room was clean and fresh. Rooms with a balcony are quite pleasant and there is a small hotel courtyard available to relax in if you want to be outside in the open air. I would recommend this for a business traveler as it is quite adequate and in a great location near restaurants, etc. the only drawback being a lack of space to place your luggage (we had to keep our luggage on the floor) and no shelf or place to put your toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel allowed us a early check in and a late check out to match our airline arrival/departure times which we appreciated greatly. The Papagayo restaurant here was exceptionally good, with great food, excellent service and a good selection of menu items. The bar area is quite welcoming.

We only stayed one night because we came to Mazatlán a day earlier than we originally planned. The hotel has a great location in centro Mazatlán and the staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived they said the elevator wasn't working and we could either have a room on the second floor or the third if we wanted a balcony. We went for the balcony and the stairs weren't bad especially since they carried our luggage! Later we realized the elevator wasn't just "not working"-it was under construction! They are working on a lot of the hotel-the roof top terrace also was not open. None of this bothered us as we don't spend much time in the room and the construction sounds weren't bad. The street noise was pretty loud much of the night but we mostly slept through it. We are now at our destination hotel and I think the street noise will be just as bad. Maybe this is what you get with the convenience of downtown. We read a few bad reviews about the restaurant. We didn't eat there but it was very busy and the food looked good and the people looked happy! It was a Saturday and they had a breakfast buffet. The shower was one of the best we've experienced in Mexico! Good water pressure and lots of hot water.

Pros: location, price per night, outdoor patio Cons: smallest "double" bed I've ever seen, no elevator (issue for some folks), no pool Check-in took awhile. I don't think she was very sure of herself or the procedure. We purchased the breakfast buffet and it was dismal. Nothing set up until well after 7:00 AM. Had to hunt for napkins, silverware, etc. Bear in mind the hotel hadn't been open very long at that point in time. I'm sure the quality of "The Inn" will become apparent at this sister location with a bit more training.
