We just stayed for one night on our way from Moab to Monument Valley. Bluff is a small town and it is a bit surprising to have such a nice, large resort-type inn there. The desert, river, and cliff scenery in the town and from the inn is quite lovely and there are quite a few recreational area, historical sites, etc in the area. The Desert Rose worked well for us. The room was clean and comfortable though a bit dated and noisy (we didn't get much noise from the main road, but the wooden porch outside our room seemed to result in quite a lot of noise from conversations plus luggage being rolled along it). Still, we'd certainly stay again if traveling through the area. The staff was nice, the breakfast was pretty good, and the adjacent restaurant was quite good. We didn't use the pool or other amenities, but they seem to be good based on other reviews.

We stayed for 2 nights for a visit to nearby Monument Valley. The resort is beautiful. The main building is a large wooden lodge but we stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was comfortable and clean but had one major inconvenience… one side of the bed had neither a nightstand nor a reading lamp. We had to have the main overhead light on for my husband to read in bed and he had to walk over to the dresser if he wanted a drink of water, check the time etc during the night. A small thing but very annoying. The resort has just added another very attractive wooden building housing some more rooms and the pool complex. The pool is indoor and one of the largest hotel pools I’ve seen recently. Breakfast wasn’t great but they did provide china plates and metal cutlery (an exception for many hotels nowadays) so well done to them for that. The hotel restaurant was closed when we were there but we walked down to Comb Ridge and really enjoyed it. Good food and a good atmosphere. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Desert Rose. We had a very large room with a kingsize bed and a good size bathroom. There was an extra vanity off the bathroom. The room also had a desk with chair and an armchair by the bed. It was very clean . The office was accommodating, there was a laundry area off the office and the office provided change for it. Breakfast was served every morning was was ample and tasty. The in hotel restaurant was kinda your your main choice unless you drove a little way and no delivery in the area. A pleasant stay and midway to many of our stops.

I must be honest and say that we only chose this place because the wasn’t a Hilton property anywhere near! When you drive through the town, you are not overly impressed but then you arrive - stunning! Classic log build with main body on two floors plus separate cabins. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Room is excellent with everything I expect from a Hilton but extra character. Separate indoor large pool.
Breakfast hot and good. Can’t recommend this one highly enough - go and enjoy.

The dessert rose resort it situated in a nice small town, although on main road you will not be disturbed by traffic as there is none. The resort it self is very beautiful for sure but pricy for some outdated furniture and choice of colors in the room. I would recommend changing the color of the towels as some of the towels look very old with stains they beige in color you cannot bleach was them. Breakfast was mediocre. Not continental. So if you are looking for a selection, this is not the place. They also have a code to enter the breakfast room, which we thought was very weird. No other guests would come other than the resort guests? The pool area was the best. We had a great time as it is pretty quiet and not many people in the pool or hot tub. I would recommend the housekeeping to keep doors closed when cleaning the rooms as small bugs and critters were found in our room.

In comparison to other lodging in the town, this location was a step up in quality. However, they were a bit over priced in my opinion. It sits on the main road and doesn't really have the surrounding environment I'd hoped. Not a destination location.

A real find!! Located in a small town, this lodge was a real charmer. While the room furnishings were a bit rustic (stayed in the motel units), the room was clean and if an adequate size. The breakfast room located behind the reception area was pristine. The food, itself, was well presented with a good selection of tasty breakfast items. Staff was extremely pleasant. There is also a laundry room.
Convenient to Monument Valley - an easy 45 min. drive.
The adjacent restaurant, Duke’s, was outstanding!!!

My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay in the lodge. The room was nice and well furnished. The king size bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast buffet was adequate. Overall, our stay was fine. The only issue we had was poor Wi-Fi in our room. We were not able to access the internet on our phones or tablets inside our room. We talked with the front desk, and we were advised to walk over to the Courtyard Lobby for the best signal. That was an inconvenience. Additionally, the television in our room was unable to get any streaming services due to the Wi-Fi problem. TIP: If you need Wi-Fi, especially for Wi-Fi calling due to no cell service, ask for a room near the Courtyard Lobby!

My wife and I have been traveling from Michigan seeing some of the national parks are our way to Bullhead Arizona. We had previously booked a room in a small town north of your place (after visiting the Arches National Park and were so disappointed in the place and had no restaurants open within 40 miles, that we turned our key in and left.
We drove about 40 miles south and found your place. What a welcome surprise. Beautiful place, extremely clean with all the amenities you could ask for.
We give you a 10 out of 10.
One question I have, you had the wonderful breakfast in the morning and one of the items was small fruit cut up with some kind of pudding or tapioca, not sure what it is, but delicious, would like to know what this was.

I recommend requesting a second floor room based upon easily hearing feet walking above. If your room is located on the lower level be careful when walking on the porch and sitting on the porch furniture as the surfaces are rough and splinters are possible.

This place has been well-maintained and is very clean, but its age shows. No complaints at all with our stay, but next time (and we would stay again), will book a cabin or one of the bigger rooms with private patio as the motel style isn’t really our thing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great to have a nice on-site restaurant for dinner. A limited menu, but good variety and quite good.

I would give it 4.5 stars.
Very nice, pretty new. The grounds are still a work in progress. Very nice indoor pool and spa. We were two couples staying just 1 night and went with the two bedroom, 1 bath suite. Not spacious but adequate.
