We have stayed at this hotel several times and always have a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are cozy, and the food is excellent. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

We stayed for one night in CP Lake Placid as part of our road trip. The hotel is super nice and in a great location, just off the Main Street. Ample parking is available with dedicated slots for IHG diamond members. We were upgraded to the exec room with an electric fireplace and a balcony. Very cosy. I am, however, knocking off a star for breakfast. For the standard of this property, they could do a better job with a variety of choices in the buffet and quality of a-la-carte options. Otherwise, I recommend this hotel and wish we had more time for the beautiful Lake Placid.

After did a little research for accommodation in Lake Placid where I had no idea about. I have decided to book with Crowne Plaza. A hotel is located on the hill with a stunning view of a village and mirror lake. Also very close to the Olympic museum. A benefit of being on the hill above the village was peaceful and quiet. It was only a short walk about few minutes to visit a village. Parking is complementary from a hotel. Public parking in Lake Placid was metre parking and we needed to pay so parking at the hotel for free was one of a benefit to stay at Crowne. There were so many parking spots more than enough to accomodate all guests. First impression when walked into the hotel was reception staff who meet and greet with a smile. Staff were friendly and willing to help. Checking in was quick and easy. We got all info we needed and some more info about what was going on in the hotel and what hotel services were offering. My partner told me that this hotel probably built in an Olympic time. It was a bit dated. We booked double bed Lake View. The room was big and the view from the balcony was amazing. The room was clean. The down side was the wall was thin and we could hear a guest from the next room was swearing. The air con was old and did not work very well. There was time we were so hot and sudden cold on and off all night. The beds were comfy but the pillows were not comfortable to sleep on. Bathroom was large and clean, water pleasure from shower was okay and hotel provided shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and a hair dryer. There was only 1 elevator on a hotel side we stayed. There was an indoor pool and hot tub. We did not get to use it because we could not add more activity into our 3 days trip. Also my partner forgot his swimmer so we decided to pass. Buffet breakfast was nice and varieties. There was a chef who cooked fresh eggs on demand, all cold and hot foods, continental, yoghurt, fruits, tea, coffees and juices. I was surprised with a price per head USD16 which was so cheap compared to where I came from. We happened to sit at the bar on the first day we arrived. There were many varieties of drinks also cocktails. I asked a bartender to mixed the cocktail the way prefer and it was good. I was quite enjoy it. I highly recommend Crowne Plaza Lake Placid if you ever think to visit. How can it go wrong with an IHG hotel.

Amazing! Great room, very comfortable! Very clean! Beautiful view, close to everything! Very sweet front staff. Everything was perfect except for the service at breakfast. Not very friendly. Waitress didn’t smile and seemed miserable.

We loved this hotel. It is easily accessible above the shops/restaurants on Mirror Lake. The views of the lake and surrounding high peaks is truly amazing. The people working reception were kind and knowledgeable. They gave us a free upgrade to a larger room for being IHG members. The bed was great. The room had everything we could want. I was only surprised that there were no glasses in the rooms, only disposable cups. We struggled a little to get the room the right temperature, but that was minor. The hotel has a free, private beach with kayaks on the other side of Mirror Lake. I highly recommend taking advantage of that benefit. We ate in the restaurant one evening and thought it was just as good as anything in on the lake, and with a million dollar view. It was also more affordable than the other restaurants on the lake. One final complement: the grounds are very well kept with beautiful perennials. The gardener should be commended. We would definitely return!

Absolutely an excellent location and right next to downtown Lake Placid. Town center is at bottom of the hill and only a short walk to Herb Brooks arena. Hotel has a rustic setting and staff were very cordially. Private beach is just across the lake .

Loved it here. Came here for a wedding that was within walking distance. The hill is quite steep so be prepared. Room was ready early. Everything was clean. Front desk very courteous. We had the buffet breakfast which was a great deal and was very good.

A beautiful hotel and comfortable accommodations. The views are lovely and the town, quaint. We had a nice visit. Many places to sit and relax, lodge style decor which was nice given the location. The staff all seemed friendly and were helpful.

This is a Wonderful hotel set in the Olympic Village of Lake Placid . Superb views of the lake , and surrounding mountains .Pool . Restaurant all good. Helpful staff. Can't fault it . Dog friendly. Short walk to village. Beware the hilly walk back .

Great visit! Really liked our room Like the food. Clam chowder and french fries were fantastic! Nice water and coffee available in the lobby. Want to comw again. Enjoyed our visit of the olymipic site. We were there just before summer started.

This was our second trip to Lake Placid. We saw the Crowne Plaza years ago and decided to stay at the hotel for our ski trip this year. It was "okay" ... but only okay. I thought it would be better. It had a low occupancy so only one restaurant...

This was our second trip to Lake Placid. We saw the Crowne Plaza years ago and decided to stay at the hotel for our ski trip this year. It was "okay" ... but only okay. I thought it would be better. It had a low occupancy so only one restaurant was open; the food was okay and the service was okay. It is a nice hotel but it needs to be updated a bit as the rooms seemed a little stale. You will not be disappointed if you stay here ... but you will not be impressed either. It does have a nice central location to the downtown core area and is about a 15 minute drive to WhiteFace.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is VERY confusing to figure out how to find your room! The guy at the front desk just said to follow the hallway way around until we get to the elevator. Ok, we did that. But low and behold there are different elevators...

Ok, we did that. But low and behold there are different elevators that go to different parts of the building, which he didn't specify. We went up one elevator and ended up in the wrong part of the building only to have to backtrack with bulky luggage to find the correct elevator. Nothing is labeled, so good luck. The room is old, dated and dark. Uncomfortable sofa to watch TV. The tiny balcony was not private as people in the next room over were right next to us - might as well share the space! We wanted a room with a water view, but the "view" is a tiny slit of water. Nothing to see here! The fireplace didn't work - called the front desk and all they said was that they'd tell maintenance - but no one ever came. Bed was ok, bathroom was ok. No TV in the bedroom area. We ate dinner in the large room with the bar. The windows were filthy and we could barely see out. The window sills were dirty and buggy. The food was average and not much selection. Drinks from the bar were luke warm. The outside firepit area only had 4 chairs, so it's next to impossible to sit out there. Meh - won't be back.

This is a beautiful property on top of a hill. We absolutely loved dining outside and sitting next to the outdoor firepit. The staff were so friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. The rooms are comfy and very clean as well. We will definitely be back to visit!
