DO NOT USE SPA TREATMENTS
Lovely hotel. I do not recommend the SPA treatments. Therapist was very rude and not personable, when I complained the spa manager did nothing. I don’t expect this from such a prestigious hotel group. Very disappointed. Hotel itself is nice and hotel staff were great!

From start to finish the Corinthia couldn’t do enough, we went on a Birthday weekend. There concierge team arranged all our requirements from TUK TUK tours to organising all the best restaurant, bars and clubs.
The hotel has just had a refit last year and is one of the leading hotels in Lisbon. The suites we had were excellent. Please make time to use there newly kitted out spa (brilliant is the only word) they also arranged private dinning and private breakfasts for us on the executive floor.

Stayed in countless hotels for business and leisure, this hotel beats them all!
The spacious guest rooms, cleanliness and modern interiors are second to none. I chose this hotel to relax on holiday with my husband with use of an excellent spa, well equipped gym and large swimming pool - it’s a home from home after a day of sightseeing in this beautiful city. There is a complimentary shuttle to and from town on the hour. All the staff are happy to help and please 24/7.
I wouldn’t hesitate returning.

Location central to the city. Room was large. Shower great, comfortable bed. Best buffet breakfast I have had for a long time. Close to laundry facilities if you need a lot of washing done. Motel laundry can be a bit expensive. Staff very helpful.

This is a great hotel in a excellent location with easy access to the centre of Lisbon. We booked a junior suite deluxe but on our arrival we were upgraded to a suite. The staff were excellent and very helpful, especially Daniel in the Sky lounge who couldn’t do enough for you. I would definitely recommend booking a suite which gives you access to the sky lounge which is your own little oasis. The only downside of our trip was the night we booked to eat at Erva we booked a table through reception but on arrival we were told that they didn’t have a booking for us but did find us a table however after a quite a wait they brought us the wrong starters after a further wait our correct starters arrived, but not great. Overall the meal was expensive and just ok but we wouldn’t go back.

The hotel is super clean and modern, but it still has that classic, old-school hospitality that makes you feel at home. The rooms and spaces are beautifully designed and really comfortable.
What I loved most is that, for such a high-quality experience, the price is very reasonable. You get so much value for what you pay.
Overall, I loved everything about my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon. It’s a perfect mix of comfort, style, and great service!

We had access to the sky lounge where we could have an excellent breakfast with personal service. The hotel is about twenty minutes drive from the centre. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the centre which leaves on the hour starting at 9 in the morning and finishes at 5 in the afternoon. Do not despair, however, Uber only costs about €6 for the ride.
Tip: do not take a car from and to the airport. They charge about €25 as compared to €9 with Uber.

Stayed here for four nights last week and I have to say it was truly amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special as we had booked for a special wedding anniversary. The breakfast was the nicest I've ever seen in a hotel, the variety and freshness of everything in addition to the beautiful music from the piano player. Bar staff in the Soul Garden bar were so fab, Mateus and Augustine in particular. Gorgeous cocktails. Dinner in Evra was also beautiful and again the staff went out of their way to make our meal special. Would definitely return to the hotel and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

We loved this hotel, from the rooms to the food to the staff, the latter of whom made our vacation in Lisbon very special. If/when we travel back to Lisbon, we will definitely stay here again.
Rooms: We booked a junior suite with access to the Executive Lounge. The decor was modern (not modern art, just modern). There's a big walk-in closet with comfy bathrobes. The bathrooms had lots of space for toiletries.
Executive Lounge: We are so glad we decided to stay with access to the Executive Lounge. Daniel, our server and Rute, the Club concierge, were extremely helpful with everything from restaurant reservations to getting train tickets to even securing an electrical adaptor. The food was outstanding -- an egg station at breakfast and a selection of warm and cold foods for lunch or an afternoon snack. Wine was available throughout the day.
Staff: The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. We used the concierge desk multiple times and they never led us astray.
Others: We used the car service from the airport and also the train station and while it wasn't cheap, it was great not to have to worry about finding a taxi or getting an Uber with all of our luggage. Both drivers were personable and, most importantly, drove well in traffic.
Location: The location is outside the city center. We didn't use the shuttle available there. We walked around and it's a very safe neighborhood. Lots of restaurants, right across from the subway.

Where do I begin? The Corinthia Lisbon will always hold a special place in our hearts.
In August 2024, we got married in Lisbon. The Corinthia was home base for our multi-day celebration, hosting most of our 120 wedding guests. Since our wedding, we have been back to Lisbon twice, and both times, there was no question where we would stay. We are so grateful for all the beautiful aspects of the hotel: from the warmth of the staff to the elegant, yet modern and comfortable rooms, and to all the little details that made a difference.
While the hotel’s exterior may not immediately catch your eye, your first impression of the hotel will change once you step inside. The rooms are luxurious and modern, yet cozy. The nightly turndown service was a very appreciated touch. All our guests commented on how much they appreciated the little details from Corinthia like water by the bedside, lavender sachets on pillows, and nightly sweet treats. The bath products were divine, and even the scent of the hotel is perfect.
Although not located in downtown Lisbon, the Corinthia’s location is still convenient. It is a quick 10-minute Uber ride to both the old town and the airport. Due to its location just outside of the historic part of Lisbon, it offers tremendous value. Our guests were blown away by how reasonable the room rates, considering how luxurious the hotel was.
Lastly, we want to say a big thank you to Margarida, who helped us from the beginning of our wedding planning process right through to the wedding days. Margarida, thank you so much. Your attentiveness made the world of a difference for our wedding. The front desk staff are all so wonderful, warm, and genuine. We also want to acknowledge Pedro, one of the bell boys, who was wonderful.
Thank you, Corinthia Lisbon team!! We are truly so thankful we found the Corinthia.

My wife and I were scheduled to go on a Viking Cruise two weeks ago. Upon landing in LIsbon and transferring to the Corinthia, my wife did not feel well. We called for the house doctor who arrived promptly and ultimately sent us to Da Luz Hospital. My wife was diagnosed with a ruptured appendix and had emergency surgery that night. The surgeon, the hospital, and all the nursing staff was amazing and took the best care of my wife.
While she was hospitalized I stayed at the Corinthia for 8 days and was treated like “royalty”. The staff including Henrique, Miguel, Alice, and all others too many to name could not have been more accommodating. They sent fruit to my room, called every day, and just made sure my stay in a foreign country under difficult circumstances was made so much easier.
We cannot express our appreciation enough for this wonderful treatment and cannot wait to return to actually see Portugal. Thank you to everyone at the Corinthia..

Lovely hotel, great service throughout. Had a double room with panoramic view on 20th floor, very clean, fantastic shower, bed comfortable.
Breakfast buffet options were extensive and food was good. Service at breakfast was okay but when shown to table there was no explanation of how the service worked so we didn’t know to ask for coffee / tea and then to get cold milk from the buffet not from the server.
The shuttle bus service into the city runs from the hotel every half hour between 9am and 6pm and has a drop off in the city and then you can also return from the city anytime, every half hour between the same times. Drivers very pleasant and very comfortable Mercedes bus! This was invaluable as the hotel is located a good 15-20 mins outside of downtown. However Ubers are also extremely cheap in Lisbon (i.e 5 euros into the city) so we used these in the evening in particular.
We ate in the hotel once during our stay in the lobby bar and the food was lovely as was the beer! Mohammed who served us was very pleasant and efficient with his service even though he was busy.
We asked on our last day for a late check out as our flight was in the evening and the hotel very kindly obliged so we were able to check out a few hours later for free, this allowed us extra time to explore Lisbon castle on our last day and was very much appreciated!

Stayed three days at Corinthia - loved it. We booked airport pickup through the hotel, which gets you a ride in a nice Mercedes van. The driver was great - very patient and helpful, which is a good thing because it took us so long to get through customs and bag claim that I thought there was a strong possibility that he’d give up and leave without us. Nope - right at the exit where we hoped he would be. We got to the hotel in pretty rough shape (tired, long flight!) but the front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. The suite we booked was terrific - very comfortable. Nice bathroom, with separate shower and tub. Full marks there. The housekeeping and room service people were stellar. We had access to the Sky Lounge, which gives you an option for breakfast besides the main setup off the lobby. The main room was a bit of a zoo - but the Sky Lounge was much, much better. Quiet, wonderful staff (special shout-out to Daniel - so nice, kind, and professional: honestly one of the best hotel employees I’ve ever seen! Whatever they’re paying him isn’t enough.) The elevator system is a bit quirky, but pretty cool once you figure it out. There were a couple of very minor maintenance issues with the room (by minor, I mean two minutes to fix) but that kind of thing is to be expected in a big hotel such as Corinthia. Overall, we loved our stay - and such nice people. We will definitely go back.

The elevators can be a bit confusing, but one we figured it out it was fine! Everyone who works at this hotel is lovely, so kind and helpful.
We stayed here towards the end of week 1 of our tour, and were able do laundry; there’s a coin laundromat about a block away.
The breakfast is absolutely amazing, so much to choose from. Their muesli is especially good, if you like that sort of thing. There’s a grand piano in the dining room, and a lady played beautiful classical music during breakfast! What a nice way to start each day.
Highly recommended! We will definitely stay here when we return to Lisbon.

1. First Impressions
We arrived late at night and had arranged a hotel transfer in advance. The greeting was prompt after baggage claim, followed by a short walk to a waiting Mercedes. A bottle of water and a phone charger in the car were thoughtful touches that set the right tone. The lobby had a calm atmosphere and a subtle, pleasant scent. Check-in around midnight was smooth and efficient.
2. The Experience
Our room on the 12th floor offered a broad view over the city — perhaps not Lisbon’s most picturesque angle, but enjoyable nonetheless. The super king bed was very comfortable, and the room offered the quality and space expected from a five-star hotel.
The spa was a highlight. I booked an 80-minute deep tissue massage, which came with complimentary access to the hydrotherapy circuit, sauna, and water facilities. The experience truly helped me unwind. A special mention for Talita, who delivered an excellent massage with care and professionalism — one of the best I’ve had.
That said, the lift system left a little to be desired. You’re required to scan your room card before selecting a floor, but the screen blanks out after a few seconds, so you’re never quite sure if it’s coming. During busy periods, we found ourselves waiting longer than expected — a small thing, but it disrupted the flow.
3. The Details That Matter
The bed, water pressure, and room quietness all contributed to a good night’s rest. On our first morning, we opted to eat offsite due to a high number of Viking cruise guests making the hotel feel very busy. The concierge gave an excellent recommendation for Seventh brunch restaurant — a great find just 10 minutes away by taxi.
We did try breakfast at the hotel restaurant on our second morning. The spread was generous and included an omelette bar (always a welcome touch), but the service fell short — we had to chase for cutlery, coffee, and plate clearance, which was not in keeping with the five-star promise.
We experienced a couple of payment issues during the stay. After both the spa treatment and a bar snack, I was informed that the pre-authorisation hadn’t worked. I was asked to return to the spa to settle the bill — not ideal when you’re trying to relax — and was later asked to provide card payment in my room after 10pm by a bar waiter. This felt clumsy and out of keeping with the hotel’s usual tone.
4. Value & Integrity
The Corinthia largely delivered on its five-star promise in terms of comfort, spa experience, and thoughtful touches. But a few service lapses and awkward payment issues did leave me slightly deflated. That said, the hotel’s response to feedback was exceptional. When I shared my concerns at checkout, the staff responded with genuine care, offering access to the Executive Sky Lounge while we waited for our transfer.
There, we were met by Marta, who took the time to listen, empathise, and engage with our concerns in a warm, professional manner. Her approach embodied true five-star service and shifted the tone of our experience entirely — a reminder that how a hotel responds to setbacks defines its character far more than perfection ever could.
On departure, we were presented with a small box of pastel de nata as a parting gift — a warm and thoughtful gesture that brought our stay to a gracious close.
5. Would I Return?
Yes — I would return, and not just despite the issues, but because of how they were handled. The Corinthia showed genuine care, thoughtful recovery, and a desire to make things right. That kind of service stays with you.
Travelling well is less about luxury, more about presence, care, and choosing wisely. — The Stoic Traveller

We stayed at the Corinthia Lisbon for the first time for my husbands birthday. We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is amazing, outside of the city centre but places to eat around. The spa was incredible but not cheap, but the treatments we had were worth it. I went to guest services and was greeted by Patricia Costu, she was warm friendly and exceptionally helpful. I wanted to locate a balloon for my husbands birthday and she even walked outside the hotel to show me where the shop was. She then also organosed for us to go to the sky lounge, a bottle of fizz and cake for his actual birthday. That level of service is fair greater than I've experienced at other hotel chains and Patricia is a credit to the brand!! All the other staff were very friendly and helpful also. The shuttle bus is very handy to have as well.

We are staying here for 9 days; 6 of them were on our own, the last three are part of a pre-cruise tour with Viking. Full disclosure I generally only write reviews on Trip Advisor if I have extremely good or extremely negative experiences. This review sadly falls into the latter category. Also to disclose: my expectations of a hotel take into account the price/status/reputation of a hotel. This hotel is supposed to be 5-star hotel, so my experiences document the lack of quality and services based on it’s rating.
1. ELEVATORS. There are four elevators which require the room card to activate from outside the elevator. First day here, we were going down from our 18th floor room to the lobby on 0. Two guys were already in the elevator when we got on, and another couple entered a couple floors below us. The elevator proceeded down, then stopped abruptly on level 2. Although the elevator light remained on, the AC fan shut down and the door would not open. Our companions and we traded jokes and comments, but as the minutes went by we began to have trouble breathing (the elevator was small enough that six of us were at capacity). We tried pressing different buttons but nothing happened. Finally I leaned on the yellow button with the bell icon….after about 30 seconds, a phone began to ring on speaker. Someone answered the phone (we found out later it was the elevator company, NOT the hotel). We said that our elevator was stuck on level 2, and the person said in broken english that he would send a technician. Minutes more went by and our discomfort was getting extreme so we leaned on the bell icon again and when the person answered we demanded to speak to the manager (thinking the person was in the hotel); he transferred our call to the front desk, and a female answered. We repeated our plight and she said, “ingles?” and said, “just a moment” and transferred our call to a line where no one answered. We had to lean on that emergency call button again and go through the whole process of having the elevator company transfer our call to the hotel. We finally got a hotel employee who spoke english but he said, “what is your first and last name?”. To which everyone in the elevator said, “is he kidding?!” We got through the ordeal, demanded that someone AT THE HOTEL come to level 2 and pry the door open. Eventually a manager did do that after about 30 minutes. If you are claustrophobic, this hotel’s elevator is not for you.
When the elevators DO WORK, and the hotel is FULL, it takes more than 5-7 minutes for ANY of the four elevators to open at your location. I know this because another visitor announced this when the door opened for him.
2. DINING. There are three restaurants in the hotel, Soul Garden which features pan asian food (mostly sushi, some dim sum, and couple of soups); Olivae (provides a good breakfast buffet; and had a portugese dinner buffet the week we were there; and Erva, a restaurant bar with traditional portugese food. Soul Garden’s pan asian menu is mediocre (I live in HI and have lived in Japan for several years, so am picky about any asian food). Olivae’s breakfast offerings were very respectable. The best restaurant by far is Erva, the restaurant bar. The only thing I found odd about the decor was the jungle theme of a large amount of hanging pots of plants throughout the restaurant.
The prices of the restaurants are deceptive and very expensive. They add some kind of tax (“IVA 23%” and “IVA 13%) individually on every item on the bill. Then they add a 5% “recommended service charge” which is automatically added to the bill, there is no way to unselect that. Overall, the bill was about 40% higher than the actual cost of the listed menu items. It was shocking. Thus a light lunch of two small soups, two side salads, one order of Pad Thai cost 95 euros. That was lunch on our first day here. It got worse from that point on.
If you sit in the lobby a service person will come and offer you coffee. My hubby accepted. When we checked out on the personal portion of our trip (before signing in with Viking) I noticed a charge of 10.50 euros for that coffee.
3. HOUSEKEEPING. There are fancy buttons on the walls in the room where you can select “do not disturb” and “please clean the room.” If you forget to press the “do not disturb” at night, their service people will try to enter your room to do “turn down” service as late as 9:00pm when you are trying to sleep. On the other hand, in the morning if you are ready to have the room cleaned while you are gone, nothign will be done because, as they explained, housekeeping can be done anytime till about 5:00pm. With a 5-star rated hotel like this, complementary bottles of water are supposed to be left in your room with each cleaning. The cleaner is inconsistent and on several days no bottles were provided.
4. FRONT DESK STAFF. My best anecdote here is that on the first day, I went up to the L-shaped front desk (no one else was being waited on), standing in front of the short part of the L. I said hello to the desk person (she did not greet me before I said hello but did smile after I said it). I asked, “can you help me?” And she replied, “yes, IF you come around to the counter in front of me”. whaaat?! She was literally two feet away on the long side of the L from where I was standing. There were two desk persons there, and NO other guests needing to be helped. In other words, I had to move myself to be directly in front of her, she was not willing to walk sideways two steps to help ME. I don’t know if this is part of the Portugese mentality, but I found this lack of initiative and helpfulness disturbing. Also, that in general, the hotel staff do NOT initiate greetings to their guests. They look politely at you, and you must be the first to say something. This is in sharp contrast to where we were over a week ago, two weeks in Palermo where friendliness and helpfulness with eye contact was absolutely appreciated.
5. HOTEL LOCATION. The hotel appears to be in a quiet newer part of town, about a 20-minute ride from the main part of the city where all the tourist sites and shops are. However, there are beggars and other street people that make walking around here at night not an option. Just so you know.

Stayed here on first visit to Portugal as a pre cruise hotel and was very surprised by the elegance and comfort of the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and efficient indeed all the staff were terrific across the hotel. The room was very comfortable and had all that I needed and was quiet and peaceful. We dined in two of the restaurants and had a drink in the Japanese one. Our waiter in the Italian one (Olivia) Gonzalo was amazing and so personable really made our meal special. The second was in the Portuguese one and again a beautiful meal with excellent staff. There is a mini bus service to the centre of Lisbon which is very useful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
