The hotel enjoys a beautiful setting at the top of Cook's Bay, one of the most scenic spots on the very scenic island of Mo'orea. The staff were welcoming and very helpful in arranging activities on the island. The restaurant is a gem; we enjoyed breakfasts and dinners there for three days. The rooms are comfortable, newly renovated, and offer views of the bay. If you do not want the crowds of the big resort hotels, you will enjoy Cook's Bay Hotel. We would definitely return.

We stayed here 8 nights on our visit to Moorea. Room was very nice, modern and well maintained. Staff was exceptional and really cared for their guests. The onsite restaurant was very good as well. We snorkeled off the beach here and saw some fish and turtles.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are huge and they have a small kitchenette, which we found very helpful and nice to have for snacks and refreshments. The snorkeling right from the beach was great. There is an octopus that hangs out right under the bridge to the restaurant. The prices for food and drinks at the restaurant were reasonable for a resort on Moorea. All the staff we encountered were warm and welcoming. The locations is ideal for exploring the island. I would recommend having a rental car. There is an excellent pizza place about 1 mile from hotel.

Great accommodation fantastic reception staff.

The rooms are to a high specification and excellent quality. However given the time of evening and the relative remoteness a small welcome pack may of been nice. We were upgraded to a room over reception which came with a private patio area which was lovely including a sofa area sun loungers and table. Housekeeping were good and the whole hotel very clean
The continental breakfast was good , however staff at dinner were inconsistent and some appeared to be in a rush. We appreciated in the morning we had an early checkout and the kitchen was opened and we had a nice private dining breakfast experience.
The pool area was great even though there is only small beach and the pool staff attentive always available for service of getting drinks if required.
Location wise it’s about 1.5 km from the main commercial area on Moorea which is by all means not extensive. There are a small collection of shops across the road but our first full day was on a Sunday and they were closed but the food van there served some good food. There is also a great pizza place 500m on the right if the hotel which we enjoyed.
Best praise however reserved for the reception staff, super helpful, always on hand and great local knowledge and connections so it seems.

Room was very modern and clean, 1st floor so easy pool/beach access. Our AC went off everytime we opened a door (yes, even with the room key card in) so room was always stuffy and hot. We did report this. Continental breakfast was filling. They did have a comedian one night but it was approx. $30 (USD) per person to attend. The spa across the street is amazing! (Maison Baia) Hotel employees were very kind and friendly! Bed was very comfy.

Great base for exploring island
Really positive experience: good location, newly renovated “two room suites”, large bathroom and seperate toilet and a terrasse. We liked our room 115, next to reception and facing garden /mountain/bay. A nice pool and corals ready for inspection, either from mini beach or the pontoon in front of mini-island restaurant....

All Staff very service oriented and extremely helpful.
They flared the magic wand when our whale trip got cancelled due to severe weather conditions. We asked reception 6:45 in the morning if they had any connections. At 7:00 whilst having breakfast we were informed that we would be picked up 7:20👌
We had an amazing half day experience with Enjoy Boat Tours Moorea, les meilleures excursions en bateau à Moorea
Truly magnificent.
We also rented e-bikes and went around the island, up to lookout point Belvedere and stopped at Lycee Agricole and enjoyed their fruits and ice. Exquisite. Stopped at the public beach next to Sofitel - fab beach. Tour 67 km road and dirt road “route ananas”.
Food truck Pura Vida on the other side of the road has very good food, open till 14:30.
Four nights stay and we are glad our agent picked this spot for us - it is one of those you remember.

Check in was easy. There is a main circle driveway n a separate larger parking lot to the right of the hotel.
Each room has a fridge, kitchenette, n kettle with coffee n tea supplied. The outdoor garden porch has a table n four chairs. We spent hours watching the chickens n drinking coffee. The bed was comfortable.
The pool is amazing n directly adjacent to a small beach. There is a manned pool bar where you can sit n play cards. They have water equipment for use-kayaks, etc.
There are multiple beds at the beach which is located on the bay. The sunsets are incredible.
Across the bridge is the restaurant. It provides breakfast, lunch, n dinner which wildly convenient if you’re not in the mood to cook in your suite.
I would suggest renting a vehicle if you’re staying for any length of time. We rented a vehicle n took the car across with the ferry. The vehicle was a stick shift. It enabled us to visit beaches, overlooks, shops, n small businesses around the island for lunch.
There were multiple families from France on extended vacations. Family friendly hotel.
There were no language barriers with staff or the community. Everyone appears to speak English.
The hotel concierge will arrange whale watching, snorkeling tours, ATV, etc. you can access most of the tours from the restaurant dock or the front lobby. Other hotel occupants were coming to meet tours at the Cooks Bay Hotel dock.
The staff are welcoming n helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Wow! Where do I begin? This Hotel is everything and more that we were expecting! My wife and I enjoyed the location, tranquility, and staff! We couldn’t imagine a better stay! We loved walking over to the restaurant over the bridge every morning for breakfast and night for dinner. There are so many fish and cool wildlife under the bridge as well! Also the sunsets are spectacular to watch while at happy hour! We honestly didn’t even need to leave the resort. I would recommend an upper level suite as the view is unreal! If we come back to Moorea we will without a doubt be staying here again!! Thank you for everything!

Disliked · Housekeeping didn't really clean our room. We only asked every two days so it didn't have to be everyday. But when we did, we came back and bathroom was still dirty (hair and crud), and floors in the whole place still had sand. It didn't seem like they even vacuumed/mopped.

Really nice boutique hotel with a pool and beach. The location is central and the rooms are spacious and clean. Many thanks to Viritahi at the front desk who was awesome. We plan to stay there again soon. The restaurant also was nice. Can hardly wait.
Delightful hotel in an excellent location. Great welcome from the very helpful daytime receptionist. Room was very comfortable. Nice pool. Good restaurant which was very quiet at this time of year. Happy hour sunset views were very memorable. Ample free parking.

Cook's Bay is a beautiful totally renovated small-medium hotel. It is sparkling clean and sits on a nice, albeit small, white sand beach.
There is an excellent restaurant on site which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You can take a canoe and paddle up a small stream/bay which is full of fish (make sure to take a look especially after sunset as the light is drawing many fish. We even spotted an octopus).
The place is very quiet and relaxing.
The main drawbacks are that without a car it is not easy to go around. At the reception they will always be glad to arrange a taxi, but it might take half an hour or even longer for the taxi to arrive, and the taxi won't be cheap. Depending on how much travel you plan while in Moorea, you might want to consider renting a car.
There are a couple of shops across the road including a food truck that serves great food at a reasonable price.

Where to start! I was a little apprehensive and unsure of what to expect as it's such a newly opened hotel but wow! Right from the very beginning of the booking process, the wonderful team at Cook's Bay Hotel & Suites were incredibly efficient at replying and always so helpful and informative, answering my many questions. We arrived on Moorea after catching the 10am ferry from Tahiti and although our room wasn't ready (we weren't expecting it until around 14:00) we were able to make excellent use of the facilities straight away, from the stunningly tranquil mirror pool, to snorkelling the fabulous reef right off the hotel pontoon. It felt like we had arrived at our own little slice of paradise! There were also plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas to go round without it feeling crowded. Mehe helped us to store our suitcases whilst we explored the hotel that afternoon and ensured we had clean fluffy beach towels at our disposal. We also very much appreciated how incredible all the team were at helping us make dinner reservations (for both the on-site restaurant and other local spots), booking scooter hire for a day and transport to and from the ferry dock.
Our room itself was perfect for what we needed. Quiet and effective air con, a spacious living area and well-equipped kitchenette for breakfast, and a few lunches and dinners and a lovely terrace overlooking the lagoon and restaurant Le Cooks. We appreciated the zero waste bathroom provisions too. The bed was super comfy and spacious, luxurious pillows and bedding which meant we slept really well throughout our stay. Absolutely immaculate, the housekeeping team did a fantastic job throughout our stay. We even spent an hour or so in the little gym on one of our very rainy afternoons!
Generally I would say that if breakfast isn't included in your room tariff then it's not worth it to add on each day. It's a pricey option for not a great deal of food. We were easily able to walk to numerous little supermarkets both in Cook's Bay/Paopao and Maharepa where we bought supplies to prepare simple breakfasts, baguette lunches and pasta dinners in the kitchenette. We had two dinners at Le Cook's, the second of which in particular was absolutely fantastic! It's a stunning spot for a happy hour cocktail whilst watching the sunset and there's all sorts of delicious fresh and local food to choose from.
The vibe throughout is just perfect. It feels luxurious and high end without being stuffy or pretentious. An absolutely stunning location that we feel incredibly lucky to have been able to visit. Thank you so much again to the amazing team at Cook's Bay Hotel, you really did help to make our pre-wedding honeymoon to Moorea so special.
