Clarion Inn Willow River

We havent been for several years and things have changed...the remodeled carpeting in the rooms and hallways is already showing signs of wear..the wonderful smells are no longer evident...white comforters! not a good color choice i dont think. We havent been for several years and things have changed...the remodeled carpeting in the rooms and hallways is already showing signs of wear..the wonderful smells are no longer evident...white comforters! not a good color choice i dont think. This was the FIRST time we have ever been when there were portions of the room that hadnt been cleaned( long hairs on the couch, coffee stains on the wall)..also wasnt a fan of the willow tree being cut down or the large trees on either side of the indoor pool area...NO BACON on the breakfast bar...that was always such a treat every other day...we were totally grossed out that one day the option was corned beef hash...YUCK! The hotel is still beautiful BUT it lacks the uniqueness it used to have and its a shame that its now just another cookie cutter motel...OH and the sign out front has been changed to Clarion Inn...how would you know this is Clarion Inn Willow River?? Who made that decision?? I was impressed with the young man who was cleaning the windows/doors on a daily basis and also the outdoor lights...not impressed with the breakfast attendant: she seemed to be monitoring if people were coming back for seconds...mam the guests paid for their meal and they are entitled to eat their fill..despite the changes this is still our favorite place to stay...just wish it could go back to how it used to be....

Only negative which worked out involved my being charged automatically for use of a room safe which I did not use. I told this to front desk on check-out, and they credited me the small fee. I was told check in person should have asked me if I wanted room safe use. Suggest if you do not want to use room safe to verbally share that on frontend at check-in.

We enjoyed this hotel. Everything was really clean. Spacious room. Had a balcony, but ours overlooked the roof, and the scenery wasn't that good, so we didn't use. The couch was terribly uncomfortable sitting. I even asked them if we could move to another room thinking we might get a better one. However, all of the rooms have these couches. I really liked the large room, and it served our purpose. We only stayed one night because we were checking into our cabin the next day. My husband liked the breakfast. If they would replace the couches, I would definitely stay again.

This property is always our first choice to stay in the Smokies. Fire place rooms with jacuzzi and king bed is so fun for a long weekend getaway. Breakfast area very warm and Inviting. Each table had an Easter decoration. Breakfast was extra nice as Elijah was helping his Aunt...

This property is always our first choice to stay in the Smokies. Fire place rooms with jacuzzi and king bed is so fun for a long weekend getaway. Breakfast area very warm and Inviting. Each table had an Easter decoration. Breakfast was extra nice as Elijah was helping his Aunt keep the area neat and tidy. He cleaned all the tables and kept the beverage area nice. This young man was very polite and personable. Beds are very comfy for a wonderful night sleep. Balconies let fresh mountain air in to add to a relaxing weekend. Overall great experience.

It has been a few years since we have stayed at the ‘Willow’ we are wanting to come visit with your Hotel again very soon!! We loved our visit there & it’s a Gorgeous Hotel!! I have a couple of ? If the Mgr could answer for me. As I went through some reviews… I was seeing that the Front Desk was not very Friendly & hoping that this attitude has definitely changed. The other question I seen was the cleanliness? When was the last update with the Hotel? In no way am I wanting to be negative in any way. These 2 questions are just very important to us when making decisions on a stay! Hoping the bad reviews were from folks that if you handed them gold on a plate they would find something wrong!!! Thank You for your time!!!

Excellent hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. The property was so very nice. From the outside to the inside. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had many options. Biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, lots of fruit, waffles, cereal. Etc. lots of room to eat. Just a very pleasant stay....

This by far was the best choice property.

This has to be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in . Our room was a king suite with a fireplace and a couch , hot-tub, huge balcony also . It’s was impeccable at being clean and nice . The place itself was beautiful . It was easy in and out going places . It also had two TVs . One where the couch was and one where the bed was . It has a mini fridge and a microwave and coffee pot in the room also . The air conditioning was super cool also . Where you check in was breathtaking as it had beautiful staircases . it has an indoor pool and an outdoor pool . Would defiantly recommend this place and we will be staying here again .
