We visited this property just as the weather was beginning to change to fall. Second week of September. Our week was glorious. We were in a terrace suite, Etruria 053 that was just a lovely and very quiet (location). The view was amazing from the room. So peaceful. Did not love the shower set up, but other than that, great large space. We are active 55 yr olds. The walk in the morning to breakfast is a little much before you have coffee. Uphill, lots of steps, but it's the price you pay for tranquility.
The food at Belmond was beyond our expectations. We do not normally prefer to eat on site, but this was an exception. Breakfast was fantastic. We loved Sara taking great care of us each morning. Tosca was lovely. We did the truffle hunt (so fun, great guide) with truffle dinner at Tosca after. Just a fabulous meal. Giovani was on point for meals at Tosca. Emporio had incredible pizza. Enzo and Andrew (who led a wonderful! pizza class for us) do a really good job here. We were in the Tuscan region for a whole month. We did not have a better pizza than what they created for us. But don't forget the Bar. What a place to watch sunset and then slip inside for a delightful meal, incredible drinks and warm hospitality. We will miss the Tuscan Soup for a long time. On the very rainy day we arrived, Andrew greeted us in the Bar and was just a warm welcome to the hotel, pouring wine, getting us a perfect "don't ruin your dinner" snack and telling us all about his home, Volterra, which prompted us to make Volterra our first day trip from the hotel. If you are at the hotel on a Sunday, the festa is not to be missed. True Tuscan brunch.
Day trips were a breeze as we let Romina (head concierge) and Elena (guest relations) book our incredible lunches in the towns we visited. They would map out our day for us perfectly. They are a huge asset to the hotel.
Do not miss the spa. Our massages were top notch and the facility is just the perfect place of repose. I could have spent a lot more time here.
Belmond Castello di Casole is a very special place. Our next 3 weeks in Tuscany were amazing, but nothing quite as special as this. You can physically feel the warm heartbeat of this place.

The restaurant Tosca is outstanding! Each course is so beautiful it was a shame to eat but wow I am glad I did!!! The chef puts so much love into the dishes, you can taste how very special it is. The waitstaff is phenomenal. The breakfast buffet is a feast for your eyes and tummy. The flaky pastry, the just baked bread and whatever else you might possibly want it wonderful. We could smell it all baking!!!
The resort itself if so incredible as it is designed around a small town dating back many centuries. The charactor of the buildings make you want to explore the area and the surrounding 5 hectors of land. This is a must if you are staying in the area!!!

We enjoyed a splendid lunch in the courtyard, surrounded by a magical atmosphere of musical notes, beautiful paintings and fine local craftsmanship.
Ramzi and Agata's kindness and care made the experience even more enchanting. Andrea at the bar suggested a rhubarb liqueur that tasted of spring and ancient memories. Susanna was very kind and affable.
And Angelo incredibly attentive and professional, took care of every detail and made sure to make a wonderful lunch an unforgettable experience.

This is the seventh Belmond Hotel that we have stayed at and it did not disappoint. In fact, the friendly service that we received over our four-day stay from all of the staff was unparalleled. We were very pleased to be upgraded to a Luxury suite, Villa 17, with an enormous ensuite bathroom. All our windows presented endless views over the Tuscan countryside of both the sunrise and the sunset. After enjoying the sumptuous breakfast buffet, we went down to enjoy the beautiful pool area and the very comfortable lounges. We ate in their fine dining restaurant on two nights; on the terrace for the "Dinner under the Stars" night; and on the lower terrace on the remaining night. The food and wine was exceptional on each occasion. The presentation of each dish was meticulous and a feast for the eyes as well as for the taste buds. The Chef deserves at least one Michelin star. The staff all knew us by name and were gracious and friendly hosts. Of note, were Alessandro, Amadeo, Elena, Gabrielle and Ramze. The Essere Spa, hosted by Max, was well worth visiting. Edy gave a fantastic relaxing massage; Antoinella, using the Spa's own AD+ range of cosmetics, gave a wonderful facial; and Naomi gave a great manicure and polish treatment. Thank you to all staff for a wonderful stay. We will definitely return for another exceptional experience. Highly, highly recommended.
