Quaint, beautiful and top notch service
Second year staying and everything was top notch! We appreciated everything from the welcome upgrade to the excellent service at the bar (Erik is amazing! ). Drinks were pricey but when the server is so fantastic it doesn’t matter. Love this place!!! ❤️❤️
Beauty, élégance, and generosity combined
Fantastic in every way. The owners understood how to combine the beauty of a historical building with modern amenities. They also master the art of receiving guests. From the downstairs “Candy room” with complementary drinks and different types of candy bars elegantly and playfully stalled in a colourful sitting room,...

From the downstairs “Candy room” with complementary drinks and different types of candy bars elegantly and playfully stalled in a colourful sitting room, to the large private room with an open fireplace and the excellent breakfast in the morning, rare is the hotel that can match up with their level of service. A special thank you for this warm and generous welcome.

I’m not sure if it’s sleeping on the marshmallow-cloud bedding or the perfectly appointed bedrooms. I’m not even sure if it’s the cozy fireplace and the fun retro candy. It might be Eric—both sommelier and CHI staff member extraordinaire. Or it might be that the staff seems to be able to read your mind. What I do know is that everything about Camden Harbour Inn’s warmth and lavishness is all about approachability. Two words immediately come to mind when I think of our stay at CHI: Accessible and Sumptuous.
We just returned from a weekend stay for my husband’s birthday and couldn’t have imagined a better time. We had one dinner at Natalie’s, which was absolutely sublime (Eric for the win on his spot-on wine recommendation that paired perfectly with monkfish and filet mignon). Breakfasts were perfect. Everything was beyond a 10. And winter in Camden is positively loaded with activities—who doesn’t want to cross-country ski with a view of the ocean?!
I can’t recommend CHI enough and give the highest praise possible to the happy, warm, welcoming, and attentive staff who have created a truly opulent-yet-approachable getaway.

Choose CHI if you want to be safe, cozy and pampered during a snowstorm. You’ll have great food, a roaring fire, an assortment of reading material, and friendly staff who clear off your car when the storm is over. A perfect mid-winter getaway!
Amazing visit! Very clean and comfortable rooms, staffing is very friendly. They think of everything you may need and it is available in your room. The views were spectacular and the food was amazing! I recommend the spa experience and a visit to their nostalgic candy bar!

This was our first time staying at the Camden Harbour Inn, and most likely not our last! The service at both the hotel and bar/restaurant is exceptional and present from the minute you arrive to the moment you depart. We had a small problem with the heat in our room to start, so instead of risking further issues we were upgraded free of charge to a gorgeous suite without a moment’s delay. The rooms are lovely, with lots of modern amenities, and the lounge affords a great place to sit and relax with friends (and also grab a complimentary snack if you so choose!). And having such an amazing fine dining experience such as Natalie’s right there was the cherry on top. If in Camden, I would not hesitate to book this inn – You will NOT be disappointed.

Another Perfect Experience at C.H.I.
Perfect location, great views, quaint setting, amazing food and unparalleled hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was perfect. I would recommend the Ritz and Four Seasons send their people to C.H.I. to learn how to deliver an exceptional customer experience!

I don’t know where to start. First let me tell you that I own a travel company and travel often. Also, I specialize in culinary travel. I have NEVER given a 1 star review before. But they lived up to it.
We booked our stay in August for our 20th anniversary. We booked the culinary package, proud foodie here! The package offered a meet and greet with the chef, signed menu, and 6 course chef’s tasting. My husband also called and booked a private cooking class with the chef on Saturday afternoon. I really wanted to do the lobster boat with cooking class but I have a medical issue so staying around the inn close to our room was a must.
Upon booking they were extremely accommodating, telling us everything we needed to hear. Living up to their “personalized, luxury” service.
Well, it didn’t last long. Hours Before arriving the hotel manager called and informed us that they booked our cooking class on the wrong day and were unable to do it on Saturday. While the manager did offer two other options they were all not doable. One was away from the inn again we had informed them multiple times about my condition. The second was doing the class on the day we were leaving. Who wants to pay for a private cooking class when you have a 5 hour drive back home and can’t enjoy their great wine selection (again the have been awarded the wine spectator award) so you want the whole experience. That’s what I am paying for. After thosetwo options he was unable to find anything for us on Saturday afternoon.
We checked in and our room was lovely at first glance. But the balcony was covered in mold, siding rotten and dirty. And let me be clear their ocean views from anywhere at the inn are nonexistent. I’m not kidding.
Friday evening we went for our chef’s tasting. That was awful as well. No one knew what package we booked and what was offered with it. We never met the chef and never got a menu.
We booked a culinary weekend and a location that offers personalized luxury experiences and they failed at every single one. I am floored that they have received the awards and recognition that they have DON’T be fooled by the language on the website and the awards and recognition they have received. They didn’t come close to living to those expectations and completely ruined our anniversary weekend.
I have never felt so scammed in all of my travels. My advice go somewhere else, anywhere else is better. In my husbands words the best thing they could is make us forget the weekend ever happened it was that bad.

Everything about Camden Harbour Inn was fantastic. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, Natalie’s was outstanding, room was clean and well kept, views amazing. Top notch Inn. We would say one of the best boutiques we’ve ever visited.

My husband and I stayed at the CHI for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The Inn is within easy walking distance to the town and the harbor, and all the great restaurants. The staff were cheerful and helpful, and breakfasts were delish! Our room was spacious and had all the amenities. Our only suggestions are an upgrade to the paper products (tp and tissues) and to include the breakfast gratuity in the hotel bill or print it on the menu. The servers should not have to ask. Overall a great visit!

This is truly a lovely place to stay in Camden. The staff is friendly, welcoming, attentive and “on it” in every way. We were there for a birthday stay of (2) nights and every day there was another little gift or acknowledgment of the celebration. Every effort was made to accommodate all our requests, and service always with a smile. The Inn is beautifully situated and the room we stayed in had wonderful views of the Bay and the Harbor. Comfortable, clean and extremely well appointed. Had a terrific time.

An absolutely wonderful stay. Service across the board was 5 star. Food for both breakfasts and dinner at Natalie’sahowd the Michelin star to be well deserved. Mike the bartender is a gem and the reception staff and management were above and beyond in making sore we were happy.

Staying here really is like coming home. Nothing is out of place, everything you see is ‘just so’ and it has the familiar charm of old world manners. Yet the comparison to a bygone age exists only in the beautiful building exquisitely perched above the harbour amongst the lush planting of costal Maine.
Here the attention to detail is exceptional, from the food to the decor that has a distinctively 21st century European vibe. No velvet drapes here; but the design merely enhances the white clapper boarding and enthuses you with both a feeling of calm and excitement for what lies ahead. Staff really care about the service they provide and go out of their way to look after you. Nothing is too much trouble. It might sound unkind to say the setting is the star, but it is more than matched by the amazing people who have created and maintain this. The personalised in room service is just lovely and we slept so well. Breakfasting on the terrace on a misty morning, dinner in Natalie’s restaurant and excellent cocktails are just a few of the many standout moments. It’s just a shame we had to leave.

The Camden Harbour Inn is easily the best inn I've ever stayed in. It's difficult to know where to start when describing the place. The location is excellent--just a short walk from the town. The inn itself is beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. The food was great. All this is terrific, but what set the Camden Harbour Inn apart was the attention to detail. The breakfast menus were customized with our names on them. The housekeeping staff left personalized notes each morning and at turndown. Everyone had a smile and a kind word. And then there were the little surprises like the teddy bear on the bed when we checked in and the little gift at turndown. And then there was the candy. So much candy! They have a partnership with a local candy shop that stocks the candy lounge--as much candy as you want (and I wanted a lot!)
I could not recommend this place more. Just go.
