My wife and I had a wonderfull 7 night sray after being on safari. It was the perfect chill out experience. No TV in the room, very peaceful in the restaurant, pool and bar area with low key and quiet music. The food and service were ecxellent. I have taken one star off the room rating as the balconies are not private. The divider does not extend to the front of the balcont which means neighbours have access to your section (see picture)

We have just returned from our honeymoon at Breezes! We arrived late from our safari in Kenya and were greeted so warmly and showed to our room! The room was stunning with a lovely garden view terrace and a huge comfy bed. The night we arrived the chef very kindly prepared some food for us which we’re able to enjoy in our room. The next day when we woke to see Breezes in the daylight we were captivated by the beauty of the grounds and knew instantly we’d have a wonderful time here. Honestly from beginning to end Breezes made our honeymoon so special with lovely romantic touches and surprises all week. The grounds are stunning, the food is incredible and the staff are outstanding. Big shout out and thank yous go to Bryson and Mussa in particular. We were very sad to leave and didn’t want our honeymoon to end. Breezes and the wonderful staff will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we hope to be back to create new memories together very soon! Thank you for making our honeymoon unforgettable! Enjoyed snorkelling and reef walk with Hassan.
Very efficient and friendly staff in all departments. Helpful with excursions and taxis.
Varied menus in the restaurant with different African entertainments each evening during dinner.
Very little to do around the hotel so needed transport to see other parts of the island

Swimming pool, enough spots in the shade, beautiful white sand beach: a great place to relax.

The hotel has excellent staff, facilities and food. It’s also in a beautiful location. Staff keep all aspects of the hotel clean and are very responsive to anything you need. The room had everything we needed, comfortable bed, small but excellent bathroom facilities and plenty of space to store luggage etc. The room was a bit dark but not to any extent. There are only two things which I think would have improve the facilities on offer: 1) The pool could have sunbeds with shades … at the moment there are none and it’s difficult for people to lay around the pool when it’s so sunny and hot. 2) The rooms are in small blocks of four or five and it would be helpful to have specific blocks for smokers … we had a room next to someone who smoked so it was quite difficult sometimes to sit outside. Neither of these issues caused us huge problems and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed at Breezes for 10 nights having spent two nights in Dar es Salaam. Kuoni had arranged for our transfer from the airport to the resort and we arrived to a warm welcome from Luca who gave us the low down on the how Breezes operated. We were then shown to our accommodation, a Superior Garden room. The room was spacious and very well presented with a minibar, air conditioning and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Next time we will book a room nearer to the sea front as ours was quite a walk to the sea not that that was in itself an issue but at night the paths were not brightly lit. The staff were friendly welcoming, efficient and very engaging. The nightly entertainment was varied and we particularly enjoyed the telling of the history of Zanzibar by a storyteller from the nearby village. The food varied between all you could eat buffet and a set menu with the variety of choice and quality being excellent. We were lucky to have sight of the full moon rising out of the Indian Ocean which made the tides particularly high thus allowing us to swim in the sea every day although the pool was there if the tide was out. The excursions available were varied and we particularly enjoyed the reef walk, a trip to Stone Town, the Jozani Forest, Mangroves and the snorkeling trip up the coast. Whilst it was hot the cooling north westerly breeze kept us cool(ish). Thank you to all who made this a memorable trip, we will definitely make a return visit.

A wonderful stay at Breezes Beach Club & Spa
We arrived late Sunday night and found our happy place in Zanzibar. A very comfortable bed (with netting set up on a frame in a way that it doesn’t touch you, keeping you bug bite free), nice size room and lovely en-suite bathroom. The space was well kitted out. We did not have any issues with bugs in the room. Do bring bug spray for evenings, especially when the breeze is low.
We arrived with out luggage-a different story-and found the staff very helpful. Melissa was great in opening the gift shop (check it out) for us to purchase swimsuits and flip flops to start enjoying our stay. We walked out to the beach, found lovely chairs and good beverage service and we let all the stress go.
The staff here is amazing, wonderful, kind and very friendly. From our room housekeeper, to restaurant servers, to bar service, to yoga and spa center, to the reception staff and to the scuba diving center- they are all top notch- hospitality is their middle name.
We choose Breezes as our hotel because of the dive center on property. Kiri, the manager, answered all our pre-trip questions in a very timely manner. When we arrived without our gear, she set us up with top notch gear- mask, wet suit, fins, etc- and even sunscreen. She and her team took great care of us and they are great.
I want to talk about the food! Yum! We are not here to eat same old, same old food. We were so happy to experience 2 evening buffet meals in which we experienced new flavor combinations. The first night was their “Spice” dinner. More of an Indian influence. The spices of the island were used to make salads, main courses and desserts. The second buffet night was their “Swahili” dinner where they used coconut oil, milk, and meat to make this special event. Both evenings we tried a little of everything, taking a little more of certain dishes after we asked staff what their favorites were. Their recommendations did not disappoint. They offer such a variety of salads, breads, entrees and desserts. Loved the coconut sorbet and the Spice ice cream- I know, sounds different but give it a go. Delicious. The non buffet evening menu had lots of variety- Each evening there was different dinnertime musical entertainment.
Breakfast was an expanse of fresh fruits and lovely breads, including a pancake and waffle station as well as an omelet station. Their coffee is really good- but I like to switch it up and had a fantastic cappuccino- wonderfully balanced.
Lunch is served in a different location beachside. The menu covers a lot of ground so you’ll find something there. Did I mention the staff is great? They are! I would mention each by name, but the list would be super long, and really, they ALL are fantastic.
Went to the yoga and meditation center for a Yin yoga class. Prema is a great instructor with a wonderful soothing voice. If you haven’t taken a yoga class before I believe this would be a wonderful time to experiment.
The hotel grounds and layout is beautiful.
We hope to come back to Zanzibar someday and we would definitely come back to Breezes Beach Club & Spa- trust us, this is a great place.

We stayed there three nights and there were two buffets and one fixed menu with two options for entrees. We enjoyed the special cocktails every day and the gift shop as well.

We spent a week at this amazing hotel celebrating our golden wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen a better place!
The atmosphere and service were second to none. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Our room had a fantastic view of the beach and had a large balcony where we sat before getting ready for dinner.
The food was delicious. There was a large choice of food at the breakfast buffet. Dinner alternated between a buffet and a more formal silver service. I must admit that we preferred the buffet as there was more choice. The chef prepared a special meal for my husband who has certain food allergies and they had gluten free bread and milk alternatives.
The spa gave amazing massages!!
There were water activities available but we didn't partake in any of these, except the reef walk, which was interesting.
The reception was able to arrange a variety of tours on any day that suited you.
Thank you to everyone who made our stay so pleasurable.
We thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.
