Everything was great. The front desk and restaurant personnel were courteous and helpful. We had a room with balcony facing the ocean, and it was very clean and everything worked. Breakfast was fine, mostly Mexican recipes. We loved the pool on the top level. We often had lunch at Macaw's down the street.

Not so bad but not so great. Check in (along with check out )was an absolute breeze! Once getting to the room we found 1) the safe did not work ,this was resolved after three trips to the front desk 2) a blackout curtain was missing,not a big deal 3)...

Not so bad but not so great. Check in (along with check out )was an absolute breeze! Once getting to the room we found 1) the safe did not work ,this was resolved after three trips to the front desk 2) a blackout curtain was missing,not a big deal 3) the toilet flush was not working (I fixed it) 4) the phone did not work (this was replaced but I believe it was done when we were out with a Do Not Disturb card on door 5) the bedside lamp needed a lot of wiggling to turn off/on, this was unplugged when the wall socket could be heard shorting out inside (this socket was not used after- not a lot of sockets in room) 6) the floor was dirty as my feet were black within 20 minutes 7) the main window was filthy black smeared on the inside 7) the patio door trim/seal was cracked and broken,letting the door bang with the wind(we “fixed” this by closing the door with a sock in it) 8) we had no towels until we asked for them and the bed only had 2 sheets (no blanket in it on in the room) Overall it seemed like this was the room things were taken from or delayed in order to get other rooms ready then forgotten about. We are not picky or demanding people but, I think these things add up to our limit. We were told that as the hotel was full that a different room was not available until the next day and we were offered the “opportunity” to look at an oceanfront the next day. The room was very small along with a very small balcony that would not fit a chair with the door opening and closing. The staff on the other hand were excellent and deserve praise. The front desk,waiter staff,house keeping and concierge were all great and helpful.The buffet was good,plenty and hot.The location was exactly what we were looking for. Would we stay again? Probably not and it would be a definitely not if the staff were not as helpful and happy. Stayed 7 days in April.

Lovely staff, neat location, loved the vibe, room was clean and checkin was quick. Toilet was broken, and all the phones in the building didn’t work. Made the morning a bit unsettled. Pool and rooftop looked great. Could easily be a four star as soon as they get some things...

Both times they claimed we could not use a credit card, but the desk said they could. No Pacifico beer both visits, in Mazatlán where it's made?...ok. Music was so loud we could hardly talk to the others at our table, when we asked if they could lower the music, the bartender gave me a flat out "No". It's a shame, the view and ambiance is lovely.
