This is one of the most beautiful hotels that we have stayed in. The staff were fabulous in every part of the hotel. Everyone was helpful and went out of their way to make sure you were happy. We had a complimentary upgrade which was a lovely surprise and the villa did not fail to impress. Oustanding room with a stunning outdoor pool and lounge area. We were greeted with a bottle of bubbles and a fruit plate, and on my birthday the hotel left a cake in the room. I can not fault this place. Costa Adeje is a beautiful part of Tenerife with plenty of nice places to eat if you do leave the hotel. Just a short walk away is the beach front and promenade. There are lovely morning walks just outside of the hotel gate, and a lovely beach too. Various shopping centres are close and local tours offer pick ups from this hotel too. What more could you want!

We had the most amazing holiday with friends, one of whom was disabled, staff went above and beyond, do not take any notice of comments about accessibility, there were no areas that could not be accessed by buggy. Maybe if you are wheelchair bound it would not be recommended, yes, lots of steps but you don't need to climb or descend them as there is a buggy service and staff are very helpful. Fabulous hotel and we can't wait to return.

Our favourite go to place when we need a week of R & R - Casa Ducales is like arriving to stay with friends. A place that gives you a lovely hug & no worries. Returning yet again we had a wonderful welcome from Victoria & were allocated a beautiful room. Everything was well catered for. We were half board and had pre-booked all restaurants so we were fine however the hotel was full as it was UK half term so some guests who had not reserved their tables had to eat later. Every restaurant offered a different experience and the food and presentation was good. Our only issue is the reserving of sunbeds early in the morning. When we got up at 8:30 I reckon every bed near the pools had a towel on it. This has never been the case previously when we have visited and lets the hotel down. I for one would like to see such a practice stopped. We ended up using the Ducales terrace which was quiet and just meant a bit of a walk to the pool, which didn’t detract. Bahia is a special hotel it would be a shame to see its standards drop.
Thanks as well to Irene (Casa reception) for her help as well as the waiters in Casa for whom nothing is too much trouble. We will be back!

Pros and Cons
PROS
1 Bahia del Duque is a beautiful complex situated adjacent to Playa del Duque beach
2 Fabulous gardens/pools/
3 Concierge Service excellent
4 Staff very friendly with the exception of staff at Reception Desk who can be quite condescending exception being Balazs.
CONS
1 Bedrooms. We booked in here for 6 nights and allocated a sub standard room - small dark and dingy. Room 261 faces the pool and is a family room (we’re a couple) with a connecting door. Firstly it was not cleaned properly …which was addressed by Balzas. On the 3rd evening a family of 5 moved into adjoining room 262..with one or two of the children coughing and creating general mayhem. Obviously this was ridiculous and intolerable but unfortunately no other room (in a hotel of 386) was available except for 2 which were even worse than 261…Balazs again came to the rescue and sorted us out with a beautiful room 202 on the last 2 nights.
2 Restaurants.
Would advise half board..food choices limited and each time we tried to book one we were told…all booked up until 9pm.
Imagine every single person in this hotel left at 9pm each night…I think this incredible!!!!!
Finally I would like to acknowledge BALAZS who solves problems with a calming empathetic manner. He is such an asset to your business here.

Our room was lovely. The hotel location is perfect, by a beach a few yards from the sea, restaurants and shops nearby and easy access to the promenade. Wonderful breakfasts and customer focused staff. We always stay B&B because there are so many excellent places to eat within easy walking of the Hotel. The Hotel restaurants are good but we think there are better nearby.
The only small negative we had was that the hotel is on a steep hill and although you can take a buggy there is a lot of climbing steps. I had just damaged my hamstring and it had not occurred to us this might be an issue. I wouldn’t recommend it’s a place to go if you have mobility issues.
Anyway perfect place for winter sun and we loved it.

Amazing Hotel. Everywhere you looked it was beautiful. The breakfast was to die for and all the Restaurants were amazing. The staff could not be more attentive. Very comfortable sun beds great access to a lovely sandy beach. Wonderful temperatures and sun most of the year round
The hotel is ideally situated on the seafront - turn left out of its gate onto the promenade and within 300m you’re in the lively area heading to Playa de las Americas, turn right and you’re going towards the quieter La Caletta which still retains vestiges of its fishing village...
The hotel is ideally situated on the seafront - turn left out of its gate onto the promenade and within 300m you’re in the lively area heading to Playa de las Americas, turn right and you’re going towards the quieter La Caletta which still retains vestiges of its fishing village
Both areas offer a wide choice of dining..
The hotel itself is kept immaculately - both in the rooms and the extensive gardens and pools.
There are half a dozen good restaurants within the hotel grounds but, be warned, booking is pretty well essential and you’d be advised to email the hotel in advance to ask them to make reservations.
Staff are universally pleasant and helpful.
Cons - breakfast offers an extensive buffet array but queues (usually fairly short) do happen at busy times. We visited during a shoulder period when, we were advised, there were 500 guests out of a capacity for 800. Rooms - at least the standard “deluxe” are on the small side but adequate.
Overall you’re unlikely to be disappointed by a well run 5* hotel although I really doubt it deserves its luxury designation as a “leading hotel of the world” (a marketing group to which it belongs since its size means deluxe personal service is unlikely.

Another fantastic visit to our favourite hotel. The service was as ever excellent as was the whole hotel experience. - even the weather was superb! I have only one criticism however. Unfortunately it seems the ''sunbeds at dawn'' brigade have arrived. All of the best sunbeds had been taken with the draped towels very early on. One morning towels were spread on several sunbeds and the culprits did not turn up at all! Very unfair on other guests. May I suggest perhaps that towels would not be available until say 0900? Other than that can't wait to return.

Once again the Bahia has restored the body and soul. We have returned to this hotel many times and enjoyed first class hospitality. The staff are the crowning glory, they always go the extra mile in providing a five star service and always with a smile. Hopefully my wife and I can continue our visits for many years. I cannot comment on the hotel’s restaurants, apart from breakfast which has a justifiable excellent reputation. We prefer to avoid in house restaurants and enjoy what is available in the near vicinity, especially in La Caleta. Until next year!

Stayed at this hotel for a short 3 night break and had an amazing time.
General hotel & grounds: extremely high standard! the decor is gorgeous and there was a lovely scent in the lobby. I also thought the fresh cut flower arrangements in the lobby were stunning. The hotel grounds are simply beautiful and I could have happily stayed there all day every day for our entire stay. Although it did not cause us any issues, the resort is on a hill with steep slopes and stairs which may be an issue for those with mobility issues... maybe something to bare in mind when considering this hotel.
Room: we stayed in a sea view room in Casa Ducales. The view was stunning. Our room was nicely decorated and the added little luxuries (aqua di parma toiletries, fluffy dressing gowns & slippers, complimentary chocolates, fresh cut flowers in the bathroom for example) were a really nice touch. The attention to details really demonstrated the high standards set by the hotel staff. The cleaners ensured the room was spotless and did an amazing job.
Staff: all staff we encountered at reception, concierge, bars, restaurants.. everywhere.. were incredibly helpful, friendly and hard working. The service was fantastic !
Spa: we had a facial and a massage at the spa and the quality was amazing - well worth the money. The spa itself was beautiful and the spa pool was a lovely place to relax after our treatments. Again, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I apologise for not remembering names but I highly commend the ladies who did our treatments - they are obviously very well trained professionals and provided a fantastic service.
Breakfast: the breakfast was great with lots of choice and the staff were very attentive in serving hot drinks. It was well managed which made the experience relaxed despite it being quite busy in the buffet area.
Restaurants: We ate at the beach bar twice and really enjoyed the lunch options there and the service was great. We did also eat in the las villas restaurant one night and the food was fine but not anything to write home about. The food was quite slow and the staff mentioned that it was because they were very busy serving the villas. Despite the slow food service, staff were friendly and attentive which improved our experience.
Overall we had a really wonderful time and I can't wait to book to return in the future!

Ideally located on the beachfront in Costa Adeje with a sea frontage of perhaps three hundred yards. The property is tucked into hills rising steeply from the sea. The vertical elevation from sea level to hotel reception must be several hundred feet.
The hotel grounds are terraced and crisscrossed by pathways and staircases. Alarmingly there are no lifts, escalators nor other disabled mobility facilities. The estate is well cared for.
There are multiple swimming pools, most of which are fresh water. Sadly, only one pool is heated; and gently heated at that.
Multiple restaurants cater for a wide range of culinary preferences. Breakfast, particularly, is noteworthy. The kitchens are more than competent at all levels. Restaurant pricing is a little creative, but not outrageously so in comparison with Costa Adeje competition.
Staff are uniformly warm, friendly and skilled.
There are areas of the hotel which are looking a little jaded and in need of refreshment.
Our stay in the hotel was booked via a major tour operator and it would not surprise me were it to be that third party guests do not receive the best available room allocation. Furnishings and mats/carpets in ours, whilst acceptable, fell well short of expected 5 star “Leading Hotels of the World” quality standard. Air conditioning was less than efficient and noisy.
Upon checking in one of our bedside lamps was broken into two pieces and the tv remote control did not work. Housekeeping took a full 36 hours and three calls to fix these problems .
The photographs attached are taken from the small verandah on our room. The seaview, very much obscured by the roof of a restaurant building, is hardly what one might expect for the significant premium price of a “deluxe room with full seaview”.
Bahia del Duque, whilst pleasant and comfortable, falls sadly short of what might reasonably be expected from a property supposedly of 5 star international standards. At the very least there needs to be considerably better attention to detail.

Beds whilst immaculately presented with high number of pillows. The mattresses were extremely hard. The buildings fabric ( quite old in construction) does not give good sound insulation.
Many steps and steep slopes between the many terraces.
Eating out in the hotel restaurants requires booking well in advance.
Feeling of a budget room, but not budget price. Room 606 situated directly above main entertainment area so don’t expect a quiet room.
Sun beds on beach not part of hotel, so not free to use. Sea here not child friendly.
However the location between the mountains and the ocean is absolutely gorgeous. The pools encompass natural rock giving a great a great dimension to swimming. Gardens were beautifully maintained. Easy secure access to the beach. Staff were polite, friendly very attentive.
We went on a B & B option which gave freedom to use local services. Great promenade routes, can walk for miles. Great sea view from 606.
Transfer between airport and hotel approximately 20 minutes.

We stayed for 6 nights having had the hotel
Recommended by a friend. The staff were friendly and there were large pools and nicely appointed places to lounge, although there are signs all around saying not to reserve loungers this was daily practice which is very annoying.
The room we had was very outdated, no USB charging, noisy air conditioning and although the bed was comfortable I wouldn’t say in any way this was a luxury hotel as advertised.
We were warned that the restaurants booked up 2 day in advance which from my perspective is too far in advance to book so we just ate outwith the hotel. I think this backfires on the hotel reducing the revenue.
Breakfast was pretty nice but would like so see some seasonal or daily dishes introduced as after day 3 it was pretty standard. We paid around £350-400 a night in March and having looked at the other hotels in the area I think this place is resting on reputation and needs to refurb and invest in the facilities.
Sorry we won’t be back, many residents seemed very happy with the facilities and were either families with grandparents or elderly couples.
