Great location, spacious, and friendly staff!!
I had an excellent stay at the Lofts du Vieux-Port, where cleanliness was top-notch, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Thomas and Maxim, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return!
Thank you so much to the staff, the kind receptionist and Maxime at valet parking, for their warm and generous welcoming! You allowed us to enjoy a beautiful getaway!
The loft is spacious, bright and well equipped. The location in the old port is perfect.

This was our second stay at Auberge Du Vieux-Port. We loved our stay last year so much we wanted to come back. Thierry and the rest of the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind every time we had a question or needed guidance.
The Gaspar staff were over the top service and so much fun. We had an amazing meal our first night and desert and coffee by the fire our second night.
What a wonderful, romantic cozy atmosphere right on the port. We plan on coming back again and again!

We wanted to get away for 5 nights and wanted to go where there was snow and people spoke French. So we chose Montreal. The Auberge du vieux port has so much character, the staff is amazing and bend over backwards, and the main level common areas were a delight to sit and enjoy a drink in front of the fireplace. The restaurant next door is fabulous and we highly recommend (make a reservation). The location in the old town of Montreal is lovely with lots of restaurants, shops and the amazing cathedral within walking distance.

I have never written a review for anything online but I am spending the time to do it now. I came with my wife for a few nights. The hotel is in Old Montreal, which is really something to experience. This hotel amplifies that. The rooms have a French charm. They are rustic but modern in all the ways you need - tv, Nespresso. The hotel itself is like something out of France.
But I am writing this because of the customer service. We had an issue with the room on the first night. We raised it with the hotel and they provided appropriate comps. That is expected. But then, the supervisor Thomas brought coffee and wine!!! I asked for a charger from the valet parked car and the valet said he would get it and bring it to the room! Meanwhile, Thomas made a point to ask each day how we were doing.
I have never seen customer service like this. I honestly felt like royalty. I guess this is what customer service should be. I have just never seen it and been staying in hotels for many years. An incredible experience.
Valet is pricey but worth it. The gym at the hotel nearby is very nice. Overall, probably the best hotel experience I have ever had. Kudos to Thomas and the entire team.

Would stay here again, as we have stayed here in the past. Wonderfully welcoming, comfortable, and cheerful, the attentive associates at Du Vieux Port made sure our four days with them were perfect. They helped us when we need to figure out how to use the fireplace in our room (a cozy space--I would choose a larger room with a better view, one of the river, next time) and when our room-fridge seemed not to be as cool as we'd hope. (Just realizing I sound like Goldilocks....) Great linens, pillows, BIG bathroom and tub, nicely sized closet with big umbrellas (which we needed and for which we were grateful). Good hot coffee available in the lovely lobby area. Easy to park with the valet; we never waited long for our car. Excellent and would recommend highly.

A neat old-fashioned hotel that sits in an unbeatable location within Old Montreal. The hotel itself is an older building in a historic section of the city. Its location really can’t be beat, walk pretty much anywhere you want. As a tourist you could spend a whole vacation in the area, pubs, restaurants, historic cobble stone streets to stroll along.
The grounds are perfect for the holiday season: lights, nutcrackers, Xmas trees and fireplaces – super comfortable and tremendous vibe. Everything is 4-star quality in a old yet renovated hotel. Lobby is a great place for a drink and relaxing.
The premier king room was enough space for 2-3 people and was exactly as advertised. I was on a lower floor, but the view was fine, room spotless and homey feeling with a completely remodeled bathroom that rivals any brand-new hotels. If traveling with a family, I would make sure to choose a premier or suite for the space.
It’s a historic hotel so obviously some things are smaller or have unique layouts (load bearing beams here and there) but it added to the charm. If I could compare it to another hotel in would be the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu – historic but tastefully remodeled and charming. It’s the “anti-Hilton” corporate blandness, which is what makes it so great to a traveler like myself.

What a wonderful experience! Such a lovely, cozy and charming place with excellent food and top notch service! One of the Bellman was kind enough to go to Notre Dame Cathedral to check if I had left my purse there when we visited earlier in the day. He went to the Cathedral himself to verify that it was there and came to the restaurant where we were dining to let us know we could pick it up the next morning. He definitely went over and above, and we appreciated it so very much! I believe his name is “Thierry.” Our room was beautifully rustic and very comfortable. Highly recommend this quaint and very special hotel!

We stayed at Auberge du Vieux Port for three nights. Lovely hotel. It is in a great location in the Old Town section of Montreal. As others have said, it is an old warehouse, renovated, with brick walls and huge ceiling beams. The lobby is very nice and welcoming. It has a lovely fireplace. There are two restaurants, Gaspar, where we had dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The upstairs restaurant is smaller and where we had breakfast each morning (excellent croissants and fresh fruit dish) Breakfast was not included. The hotel, bar, housekeeping and restaurant staff were exceptional. The room was immaculate. It was ideal, we cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

We stayed in the lofts, top floor. The stairs were a little daunting after walking all day, but the loft was super spacious and had a great full kitchen.
I read reviews where some people complained about noise 🙄 I mean, you ARE in the middle of a downtown area surrounded by bars/restaurants!
And they knew that well before they stayed. Yes we heard some street noise, but I love hearing the bustling city below and people having fun!
Last but not least, Thierry (the valet) was the best! Super sweet and so helpful!
Carried our crazy heavy bags up to the top floor. He was so great!
We will definitely stay there again!

We stayed at Auberge du m Vieux Port for three nights before an Oceania cruise to Atlantic Canada. We loved this hotel - fantastic location in the Old Town just across from the river and Old Port. We were even able to walk to the ship with our luggage, it was so close. The Auberge is in an old warehouse, beautifully renovated, with brick walls and huge ceiling beams, but with every modern convenience including the fantastic shower, coffee maker and mini fridge. Best of all was the charming lobby, with fireplace, that felt like a cosy living room. We had an excellent dinner there one evening when Gaspar, the restaurant, was too noisy for us. Nice morning breakfast in the attached oyster bar (not included, although there are B and B packages). Service was excellent, our room was spotless, and we couldn’t have been more happy to have chosen this charming hotel!
