Beautiful grounds, stunning pools, great beach-everything we wanted from our Maui vacation. We were so happy with out stay here-we loved every second of it. Every interaction we had with staff was pleasant, the grounds were immaculate, pools clean and our unit was lovely. Make sure you check out the small beach to the left of the beach pool as at first we thought the only beach was down the steep steps and that was the only access. We were wrong, thankfully!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! their rooms are infested with roaches and they will not give your money back. First impression was great, staffs were nice, until we were getting ready to sleep around 11pm. We found several roaches not only in the kitchen, also in the bathroom and bedroom. We called the front desk and were told someone will come with traps. While waiting, more roaches came out. Nobody came. We didn’t feel comfortable staying in the room and we packed up everything and went to the front desk. The front desk employee Kara was not apologetic at all nor offered us another room. At that point, we wanted to leave. We asked her for a refund. We were told to call the reservation center as Kara didn’t have the authority to do so. We had to spend thousands of dollar to book another hotel nearby at 11pm. We were exhausted. Next morning, we called the number, only to hear that I need to contact the hotel directly. I called the hotel and left a voicemail for the manager Tesha. She did not give me a call back and only refunded for 1 of the 2 nights we paid. WE DID NOT EVEN SPEND A NIGHT THERE!!! And they refused to give me a full refund when they’re the reason we had to pack up and leave in the middle of the night! Never again. Stay here if you want to sleep in rooms infested with cockroaches.

We stayed here during the Thanksgiving holiday break. We hadn’t been to Maui since the Lahaina fires and it was great to be back to support their recovery by visiting again, This property is a charming quintessential vintage Hawaii hotel that’s situated near other more contemporary hotels we stayed in before. Our one bedroom suite was sizable with a nice kitchen. We liked the balcony with a nice right side view of the ocean. The beach on the property was nice but had a strong current so we just did some whale watching from the pool day bed which was enjoyable, The pool near the beach was nice and warm. The restaurant was decent and we had drinks and dinner there once during our stay when we weren’t exploring Kaanapali beach. We also like the shops on the property. The hotel staff are all full of the aloha spirit and very pleasant. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.

Kaanapali Shores is located on the NW shore of Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. The hotel is bright and airy built to be cooled by the prevailing winds. The room came with a full kitchen but there is no need to cook as there is a good restaurant on site and a collection of eating places across the road. Staff are friendly and efficient.
