La k of attention to detail
Lack of attention to detail unfortunately. No wine offered upon check in (despite others checking in getting it). Upon getting to room it had not finished being cleaned (or had been poorly done we could not tell) even when it had been recleaned we were still left with stained pillowcase...
Lack of attention to detail unfortunately. No wine offered upon check in (despite others checking in getting it). Upon getting to room it had not finished being cleaned (or had been poorly done we could not tell) even when it had been recleaned we were still left with stained pillowcase (it had been washed but had stains left which you wouldn’t expect to be used)
We also weren’t given chocolates in our room like others in our party.
Upon check out no one bothered asking if we’d had a good stay.
Hotel could be great as bed really comfortable and everything we needed in room.

The level of hospitality we received from the front desk staff was unlike any other. Andrew with the nice hair, upgraded us after finding out it was our 9th Anniversary, personally assisted with are luggage and brought us a bottle of champagne on the 3d day (our anniversary day)!! Cody is a rockstar, there was an upset couple ahead and he handled it like a professional. Cody also corrected are bill after hearing about our experience at the rooftop bar… I unfortunately had to speak to the general manger Ismelda regarding a parking issue, sadly she was clearly intoxicated. Overall, a great stay and we will be back next year!!!

We chose this hotel because we wanted a place in walking distance to the restaurant we were going to on our anniversary. There are 2 similar hotels in this area - only a block apart - the Andaz and Archer. Living nearby, we tend to confuse the two because of the name similarities. After looking at the photos and reading TA reviews, we selected the Archer. What a good choice! It was exactly as it looked - contemporary, but not sterile. Great location in downtown Napa. Immaculate. Warm reception and public areas. Lovely room. The bathroom and shower were huge and the towels were SOOO soft. Nice outside veranda with fireplace and view of the city. Quiet. Very welcoming staff - especially Gabriel with a smile that can light up a room. We did not eat at the hotel (reviews of Charlie Palmer Steak are not good), though we drank at the lobby bar and the Whiskey Bar on the rooftop. If you are into whiskeys, this is THE place. They have a million choices. The bartender is VERY knowledgeable and friendly. The rest of the rooftop dining and drinking area are very nice - large, well-staffed with comfortable seating sections. We would definitely return.

Another outstanding stay. Love Archer and Napa....even though it rained for the entire stay! Actually a good time to be in Napa as you will have very private tastings this time of year and hotel prices are much more reasonable. The staff at Archer are always so friendly and accommodating.

The Archer Hotel, located in the center of downtown Napa, is a perfect "getaway for relaxing" and still be in the center of activity w/charming shops, wine tasting rooms & restaurants. The Hotel itself is beautifully designed w/combination of contemporary, stone & timber design, a large circular bar/restaurant area and a spacious "living room" w/fireplace for relaxing somewhere other than your room. Staff are welcoming, knowledgeable & very helpful. Rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable and offers Nespresso Coffee (w/cream, sugar/sweetener), Unfortunately, the mini fridge has no room for our dinner leftovers or picnic supplies. Rooms have a safe, robes/slippers and spacious bathrooms w/tub & showers and more than enough counter space for two. Rooms w/balconies have fireplaces w/over views of downtown yet very quiet and blackout curtains for late morning snoozing. Charlie Palmer Restaurant is lovely for dinner and the Sky & Vine Roof-top Bar offers cocktails & easy bar food overlooking downtown Napa.

Another amazing experience at the Archer Napa! Bridgette and Isabella with the front desk were amazing with customer service and secured us a terrific room, balcony, fireplace, huge tub, and the room was spotless and included little treats. We felt super welcomed, and we enjoyed a truly fabulous steak dinner at Charlie Palmer's, where Lauren was our server and she was an absolute delight. Everyone was so professional and took great care of us. Will definitely return!

Very impressed with all aspects of our 3 night stay. Great location, excellent staff, and very comfortable room. From valet parking to room accommodations everything was ideal. The staff could not be more helpful. Great lobby. Would definitely book here again.

Outstanding hotel. Great room, terrific rooftop bar, great breakfast. Location is right in the center of First Street with easy access to local tasting rooms and restaurants. Concierge handled all tour and restaurant reservations for us. Great recommendations.
A wonderfully surprising experience.
Wonderful location in Downtown Napa. As a Luxury Travel Curator with a major hospitality group, I found the ambience of the lobby exceptional, and the room exceeded my expection.

We’ve been staying at the Archer Napa for several years as part of our annual trip to wine country and have always had great experiences—until now. This year, we brought my mom for her 70th birthday, and it was her first time visiting Napa. It was also our second stay at the Archer this year, so we were hopeful for another memorable experience. Unfortunately, this stay was deeply disappointing from start to finish.
During booking, we requested something special for my mom’s birthday. We followed up again via text before arrival and even mentioned it again at check-in. Not only was early check-in unavailable (understandable), but the front desk staff was shockingly rude and dismissive. No room upgrade was offered—even though rooms were clearly available online. And the birthday acknowledgement? Completely forgotten. A bottle of champagne finally showed up… after dinner on the last night of our stay, three days after her birthday.
To top it off, we never received our e-folio after checkout. I had to call four times—the first three calls either ended with no action or being hung up on. When we finally received it, we discovered we’d been overcharged for valet parking by over $200.
I’m honestly not sure what happened to the Archer. It used to be a place we looked forward to visiting. Sadly, after this experience, we will no longer be returning and will be looking for a new hotel for our annual Napa trips.

That is was.. But my review is 4/5 just because the noise from the city garbage trucks right outside our window at 6 or 7 am every day made a late sleep in impossible. I guess it helped with motivation to move on to the wineries we really came to see, but.. fair warning....it isn't a quiet, restful place in the early morning. That being said.. I sure would stay again.

We stayed at the Archer Hotel Napa for five nights in August. The boutique hotel has a stunningly beautiful lobby, lobby lounge, and Charlie Palmer Steak all on the ground floor. There are ample seating areas and a pretty gas fireplace. It's in a great location that is walking distance to basically everything in downtown Napa and the river - very convenient. There is a rooftop pool and bar that has entertainment regularly.
We loved the ambiance of the hotel itself and our room, but we were really disappointed by the staff in the Valet and Front Desk. We paid around $3,500 for a five night stay, and for this price, we expected excellent customer service from the staff. We have had much better service at a cheap motel.
We booked an absolutely beautiful Archer's Den w/Balcony suite, which was almost 700 square feet (pretty huge) and had a four-poster canopy king bed, separate living area with a sofa & coffee table, wet bar w/mini fridge, two TVs (one mounted in the living area and one hidden in the bedroom - remote controlled to raise & lower). The bathroom was HUGE and had dual sinks, a gigantic soaking tub and walk in shower. We also had a very large balcony with two lounge chairs and a small table. The view was pretty bad though - rooftops and the roof of a shopping plaza. We were on the third floor. The black-out curtains and sheers were controlled by an electronic panel on the wall in the bedroom. They were manual in the living area.
Water and caramels were left in the room for us at check in. Housekeeping offers turndown service and left treats every night. We passed Housekeeping staff every day in the hallways and they were warm and friendly - never missing an opportunity to say hello or have a nice day.
Here is our experience with the other staff at the hotel.
Bellmen: I'm not really sure this hotel actually has Bellmen. The Valet people seem to do this when asked but it didn't seem to be second nature. They asked us if we wanted a cart when we checked in as we were sort of standing at the back of our SUV with the doors opened. We said we wanted a Bellman to actually assist with our luggage to our room. They seemed put off by this request but helped us anyway. It was sort of weird.
When we checked out, we just went down to the lobby and took a cart to move the luggage ourselves. We had called to have the car brought around (which was always pretty quick). Not one of the Valet staff offered to help my husband load the luggage into the car. There were two people there watching him but not helping.
Valet staff: Not one time did a Valet approach our car to open our doors or welcome us to the hotel. Not ever. Every single day for the five days we were there. We used the car daily (sometimes multiple times a day) and we ALWAYS had to walk over to them to hand them the keys at their little podium. We use Valet service regularly at hotels and restaurants and this is the first and only experience we have ever had where we were not greeted. The Valets were always at their stand interacting with each other. If we just walked in and out of the hotel without getting the car, they never addressed us either. Just hanging out and interacting with each other.
Front Desk staff: Wow, is this a bunch of unfriendly people. When we checked in there was not one smile to be had from the two people behind the desk. Just a cold "Hello". Every day we walked by the desk several times and not one person acknowledged us. This too has never happened to us, even at a budget motel. Same at check out - never a smile or warm interaction.

Even before we’ve arrived at the Archer Hotel Napa, Luke S. has already made our experience feel special. I called to make a reservation for my birthday weekend, and Luke S. was absolutely wonderful...warm, professional, and attentive to every detail!
He took the time to answer my questions, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure everything was arranged smoothly. His thoughtful approach and genuine care turned what could have been a simple phone call into a great start to our celebration.
If this is the level of service we can expect before even checking in, I can only imagine how fantastic our stay will be. Luke S. is an incredible representative of the Archer Hotel, and we are truly grateful for his help in making this birthday weekend feel so special.
