A great base for exploring Venice. Quiet but within walking distance of everywhere! Comfortable beds, clean rooms and very friendly staff, would recommended . Breakfast was plentiful with everything on offer. My only area of improvement was the rooms did not have any tea or coffee facilities

Wow! What a superb hotel!
Transfer from the airport by Alilaguna water taxi (orange line) drops you off at Madona D'el Orto and then it's a 5 minute walk to the hotel.
Super friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Very clean rooms (next time I think I'll upgrade to a canal view too!).
Really quiet road and canal, but walk for a minute over the bridge to the next canal and you've got bars and restaurants and shops a plenty.
Another 15 minutes and you're in the tourist area too.
Thank you, Hotel Ai D'Doriente. You made our stay in Venice really special:)

Delightful friendly hotel
Delightful friendly hotel just off the busy area with a scenic canal view. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly eager to help at all times. Would recommend to anyone visiting Venice. 15 minute walk from Railway Station and 10 minute walk from water bus stops. Would definitely do again. Well done.

It’s everything you want from a classic hotel.
If you’re looking for excellent service, immaculate rooms and a great Venetian experience, this is the one for you. Away from the tourist traps with its own character and charm, d’Oriente blows the boring hotel chains out of the water. We loved it!
A brilliant hotel: a hidden gem!

We didn’t really want to write a review as we don’t want anyone else to find this hidden gem! However the staff are so wonderful and welcoming and the location is so peaceful, romantic and calm that it would be churlish to hold back. The rooms are impeccable. The beds are large and comfortable. The bar is cosy, jovial and cosmopolitan: the staff (Marco, Daniel and Luigi) is second to none: they do magnificent cocktails! If you want the famous Venice landmarks then they’re only a 15 minute stroll away but if you want a taste of the authentic then this hotel is for you. There are brilliant restaurants nearby along with various lively wine bars and shops. It’s a 20 min water taxi ride from the airport. But please don’t go in December as we want to book a room!

This was the second time we have stayed here, lovely small hotel that is in a nice quieter area of Venice away from the crowds. Still very easy to walk to the main sites and very easy to get to using the water bus from the airport. We had a beautiful room in the newer part of the hotel, which had a fabulous bathroom with a nice powerful shower. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back at some point for a third visit!

A lovely peaceful hotel that is a stones throw from a lively bar scene if needed!

A fantastic hotel, which was a delightful walk from all of the main areas that you could possibly want to go to. The water ferry stop is just a short walk away as well in case you want to visit Murano.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, toiletries were lovely and the lane that the hotel is on was incredibly quiet. If you go just one bridge over, its a lively and bustling lane full of bars, so you can have the best of both worlds!

Lovely hotel right on a canal. Located in one of the quieter areas of Venice but still in walking distance of all the main attractions. We walked a different way each time and found beautiful buildings and views.

Room was very spacious with a walk in wardrobe and separate sitting area with bed settee. Free water and tea/coffee making facilities which were refilled each day. Fresh towels and bedding each day too.
Breakfast was basic but was ok to start the day.
All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a quiet place to stay. In fact if all the hotels I’ve ever stayed in this was the least noisy. Usually I struggle to sleep due to noise from neighbouring rooms etc, but the room was really well soundproofed. No scraping of chairs above and as it was carpeted through out, no noise from the corridors.
I would definitely stay here if I am lucky enough to return to beautiful Venice!

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March, having chosen this hotel partly based on location, but also on the good reviews. I'm pleased to say they are true and will add to them! The hotel has a lovely quiet location, but is minutes walk from bars and restaurants and a tiny bit further even more bars and restaurants.
Room was comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel. All the staff are very helpful, friendly and polite and speak excellent English.
The hotel is close to the Orto water stop if getting the water bus from the airport, and great for using the Vaporettos. St Marks and the main tourist sites are an easy 25 mins walk away, we just headed in the general direction then followed the majority of people and easily got there.
It's fair to say we fell in love with Venice and will be back.

Nice hotel a little away from the tourists
Really nice hotel a little further from the tourist center of Venice, in more of a neighborhood. Staff is great. Room was very nice and spacious and the bathroom was very good. Breakfast was sensational. Nearby restaurants seem to be more authentic and less catering to tourists, which is great..
First the pros: Lovely entry and very nice service. Nice bar off lobby and pretty salon with a veranda on the 2nd floor. It's very quiet but an easy enough walk to site or water bus. Good local flavor in the area. The bathroom was modern. Now some cons: Rooms...
First the pros: Lovely entry and very nice service. Nice bar off lobby and pretty salon with a veranda on the 2nd floor. It's very quiet but an easy enough walk to site or water bus. Good local flavor in the area. The bathroom was modern. Now some cons: Rooms are dark and small and honestly hot - and if you open the windows, you get mosquitos. This is not the hotel's fault; they are restricted from turning on the AC until a certain temperature is reached, and oddly, no country in Europe believes in window screens. So this is something to know. They gave us a fan for the room that helped. The room has excess furniture (I don't need that little card table) that makes it feel cramped, and the pillows are hard. The breakfast is not great: I think the eggs are powdered and the fruit salad seems like it was from a can with fresh apples added. Usually the hotel breakfasts we have in Italy, or really most places in Europe, are great. This one was disappointing.

Fantastic hotel would highly recommend. Staff are lovely, nothing is ever too much to ask. Room is more than I expected, online photos didn’t do it justice. Very big spacious room with a lovely seating area with a table, small tv on the wall, wardrobes, big mirrors , safe for belongings. Bed is very comfy with another large tv in-front of it. Large bathroom and room is cleaned everyday. Room looked smaller on the photos but was better than expected. Restaurants and bars a small walk away, about a 10 minute walk to a town area and around 30 minute walk to the square. Walk is no problem as lots of shops on the way so you don’t notice how far you are walking. Staff give you a map on arrival and went into great detail to help where to go. Gorgeous views, quiet area very nice hotel. Amazing time away, Thankyou.
