A lovely hotel ideally situated for exploring New Plymouth and the local area. Very friendly staff led by the GM, Daniel, the accommodation was clean and ideal for what we needed. Local restaurants recommended by the hotel were excellent; Social Kitchen and the Snug, both within 5 mins walk and the food was superb.

We had an excellent stay at the King and Queen Suites Hotel. Our room was huge and luxuriously appointed. The bed was very comfortable and fitted with high quality linen. The bathrooms were spacious and had high quality towels, soaps and body cream. The rooms and hallways had an abundance of interesting and unique art work on the walls giving the whole hotel a most inviting appeal; more like a grand home than a hotel. The hotel is well located near the famous coastal path. In fact, we could see the Tasman Sea from our huge balcony. There are mountain bikes you can borrow to ride this path which we did and enjoyed. It is also just near the information centre where we went to take a very interesting 2 hour historical walking tour. Another service I’d highly recommend. The hotel is also very close to numerous cafes, restaurants and bars and everything you could need is within a few blocks of easy walking. I would urge anyone considering coming to new Plymouth to choose the King and Queen Suites Hotel for their accommodation. You will not be disappointed.

This is our first option for accommodation when we visit New Plymouth; we've stayed here at least once each year for the past ten years. The high standards are consistently maintained with efficient, helpful staff complementing the spacious, comfortable rooms. The hotel offers hassle-free covered parking (currently $30 per day) on site which we always opt for. The hotel is conveniently located close to a wide range of restaurants, the Len Lye Centre, Puke Ariki and the coastal walkway.

We had an excellent stay at K&Q Suites in New Plymouth! Got a room upgrade when we checked in - the staff member that welcomed us was fantastic ( super helpful and welcoming ). Had a carpark directly outside the door ( with my name on it ) which was appreciated. Central location with heaps to do and eat / drink right outside. Our room was huge with a balcony that we could see the ocean from. Everything was really clean and it just had a cool vibe to the whole place. We utilised the large range of vouchers for food / drinks we were given to use at our choice of a ton of local eateries. The thing we loved the most was that it did not feel sterile and like ‘cookie cutter’ accomodation. We loved it and will 100% be back!

Great staff, very helpful. Upgrade very much appreciated. Bed & pillows very comfortable, quiet. Excellent location, opposite art gallery with lots of eateries on the doorstep. Recommend Monicas for breakfast & excellent coffee (opposite). Definitely will be back 🧡

The room was very modern and warm, slightly on the small side but we didn't have much stuff.

Fantastic place to stay. Comforts and very clean. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a laundry room with washer, washing powder, and dryer for guests to use. Restaurant and cafes nearby . We paid for under cover parking at NZ$30 per night. Well worth it as our rental...

We felt welcome when arriving and all the way through with any interactions with reception who are warm and friendly. The rooms are lovely and smell divine. Little touches throughout which personalise. Excellent location above lots of fantastic eateries and places to have a drink. Would definitely recommend to others...

The location in town is perfect and we loved the dining precinct within the hotel area. Snug lounge Japanese restaurant/bar was amazing and also Itch wine bar served great cocktails. Ozone coffee served great coffee and food also. Very relaxing stay, didn't want to leave.

Worth the the stay

We were there for a couples weekend away, we experienced some of the best service, and were very impressed with the comfort of the room. It was immaculately presented, perfectly central, and we really enjoyed the recommendations. Five Stars.

Comfortable and tidy room, upgraded to sea view as they were quiet, by very helpful staff. Location is excellent in centre of town for restaurants (more options availble than the list which management provide) art galley and shops; secure under- cover parking an extra $30 but included option of EV charging. Hotel's E-Bike hire used - $80 for two of us to cycle the coastal walkway both directions in two hours. Only challenge was large number of children , dogs, and other cyclists - this costal facility is really busy! Bikes were lighter than ours at home, probably an advantge as we had to be ready to stop. Would visit again.

Whilst hotel is right in the middle of a great group of hospitality, it was still quiet and peaceful in our room. Jet bath with an open window through to lounge to watch tv was awesome.

This is a great hotel, perfectly located for exploring downtown New Plymouth, as well as the coast. Lots of restaurants and amenities that are literally a few steps away. The rooms are great, and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. I'd stay there again any time. Highly recommended.

It is a Very good hotel. Very Close to the water front. We had a Large room with separate toilet. Small Kitchenette is also very convenient. It was raining so we just had something to eat in the room. Has bikes for guests to use, also very handy. Friendly staff....
