I rarely leave reviews, but felt inclined to warn others to thoroughly check your folio especially if you book through AMEX Fine Hotels program.
First the positives. The valet and front desk are extremely welcoming upon arrival. Luggage is immediately unloaded and brought to your room while being welcomed with a glass of wine.
The not so positive. The room itself is perfectly fine, but at the price point of $1,300/night I was expecting to be wowed, but it was a bit underwhelming. Also you could tell the room was in need of maintenance - scuffs on furniture, loose faucets, doors don't close easily. Again, I wouldn't be this nit-picky if it was $500/night, but at this price point I look at these items with a much finer toothed comb.
Room 407 has no view and other rooms can easily see into the patio/room - not a great setup for the outdoor shower. There is also a balcony above you where you'll hear people walking and moving furniture at all hours of the day.
The absolute negative - their billing practices. Upon checkout I asked for my folio and they said they would immediately email it over. 2 days later, I had no folio so I called the front desk and they said it will be sent over right away. 5 hours pass, and I call again to finally receive the folio. Their billing is all over the place with very little explanation on where the AMEX credits are being applied. I called to inquire and they assured me it was applied, but could only share a screenshot of their internal system that still didn't really explain anything. I stay often at hotels through the AMEX FHR program and have never had to fight for my credits until my stay at Bardessono.
All in all, the $125 resort credit combined with the $60 breakfast credit was a nominal amount in the grand scheme of things - I eventually gave up on receiving a coherent explanation of the folio. Just a fair warning to AMEX cardholders that they are a bit cagey when it comes to explaining the AMEX credits. In my experience, its not worth staying on property to eat their mediocre breakfast just to save yourself $60. You're better off exploring options in nearby downtown Yountville.

We had a lovely long weekend at Bardessono Resort and Spa. The grounds are beautiful, our room was fantastic, the entire staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurant and spa. It was a quiet and relaxing stay surrounded by luxury which could not have been better.

Grounds are beautiful and location perfect yet found service inconsistent and room disappointing. The room was a great size yet hasn’t been updated in some time. There were no drawers for your things - and cabinetry old and scratched. when you stay for 4 nights it would be nice to have them put away as opposed to in piles in a closet where they put hard to reach or see black shelving on the sides.
The gym is a small box on the pool roof. It has great equipment but it’s in the size of a closet. They need a better gym. Period. Not acceptable for a hotel of this type. We were told there was no affiliate gym near.
Breakfast is a little disappointing. Service great though it was 20 minutes to get a table for breakfast which seems unfortunate when you’re staying there. Coffee in the room delicious.
The valets are incredible.

Great place to stay in the heart of Napa Valley! Our room was recently refreshed and beautiful. Service was excellent. My spouse and I prefer white wines and the concierge was so helpful in guiding us to local wineries to suit our needs. The hotel restaurant was great and we especially enjoyed the service there. I was especially grateful that the restaurant staff remembered my distinct dietary needs at each visit. Will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I just returned from five nights here at the Bardessono. I could not recommend this hotel more. All of the staff, from the front desk, to valet, to wait staff to housekeeping, and management were attentive, friendly and helpful. The grounds were perfect. The attention to detail in the rooms is exquisite. We loved the outdoor shower, reading out on the patio, the gas fireplace. The steam shower and jet tub made it hard to want to leave the room when you have your own private spa. The furnishings and decor were perfect - modern and clean yet comfortable. And the fridge was always stocked with water and soda. If I could give six stars I would. Worth every penny and I would love to visit again.

We stayed for a quick anniversary weekend getaway. Unlike other Napa resorts this one is situated right in the heart of yountville. You can walk to amazing and iconic restaurants. You have a short drive to most of the best wineries in the area. The service was absolutely top notch. I screwed up putting in an incorrect credit card number, they still held the reservation. They called and were so professional when I was totally in the wrong. The service was excellent and the valet was crazy fast. The food was great, the pool was super fun, and it had stunning views of the Napa valley. It’s definitely worth the splurge for an anniversary or honeymoon or if you are just feeling spendy :). I definitely will be booking it for us our next anniversary. Every single person who worked there when we checked in wished us happy anniversary which shows their dedication to service.

My wife and I visited this magnificent property as a belated anniversary gift to ourselves. We are seasoned travelers and we generally aim to stay at "nicer" hotels and resorts. This may have been the best property we've ever visited.
The property is spotless. The garden is incredibly zen and peaceful. Have a glass of wine and enjoy the tranquility. There are countless ways to visit wineries and vineyards and tasting rooms and restaurants - many of these are within walking distance, but there are shuttles and car services to take you around the valley.
I would nor rely on uber or lift because some of the vineyards are deep in the mountains and cell services can be tough, for both you and your uber driver. For these, the hotel can recommend and help you schedule reliable, clean and professional car service.
The fitness center is located on the pool deck. It was well appointed and so enjoyable to work out in the dun, enjoying incredible views of the mountain ranges. It is my understanding that they are renovating the pool and fitness center (as of 11/23) so if these things are your jam, just call ahead and check the status of that - it was posted on their website too.
Lucy is the restaurant on property. It is outstanding both in terms of food as well as wines. With all of the wonderful restaurants within walking distance, Lucy does more than holds its own - it is outstanding, with amazing service.
Breakfast can be a sit down meal if you want - or complimentary coffee, scones and muffins, which is what we opted for before starting our day.
I highly, highly recommend this property, and I cannot wait to visit again.

We arrived on a Tuesday and we were able to check in to our room early. The valet guys are just wonderful and they really understand customer service. Big shout out to Enrique, he was extremely helpful and just always ready to serve with a smile. This just sets the tone in my opinion. Jordan at the front desk was a pleasure as well! Andrea at the concierge desk was quite helpful getting us a driver for our winery visits on short notice. Christopher at the Lucy bar made some tasty cocktails and was a pro as well! This property is just stunning and the rooms are perfection. All the details have been carefully thought about. We stayed in the Tufa suite for 2 nights and the villa for 2 nights. Amazing!
You really feel yourself relaxing when you are there. The Lucy restaurant was also awesome! We had breakfast 3 times and dinner once. Lots of good restaurants around town. We used the Lexus coupe one morning, that was fun! Good job to whoever is in charge of training here, or knowing what kind of people to hire. All were truly servant hearted. We loved our stay and will be back again.

Loved everything about this hotel. The front drive staff really anchor the experience and are each so warm, helpful, and happy to be there. The spa was lovely, and the room was nicely done. The bar was a let down, while we heard great things the space was dated and not appealing at all. Staff was very nice however. Breaking was wonderful and the location makes waking up a pleasure as you can grab a coffee and stroll through picturesque Yountville. Can’t wait to return.

Service here is impeccable and warm. Accommodations are stunning. Pricey but worth every penny.
Staying in Yountville allowed for walking to restaurants, tasting rooms and coffee shops and bakeries. Wish we could go back tomorrow.

We stayed here in the Tufa Suite for our anniversary. From check in until check out, the experience was amazing. The staff are all professional, friendly, and helpful. We arrived to a hand written letter congratulations us on our anniversary, and complimentary champagne/chocolates from the restaurant.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Yountville, and you can walk to Bouchon Bakery or several other restaurants in the area. Some of the best wineries in Napa are within a 10 minute drive from the property.
We ordered room service for breakfast and we didn't have to wait long to have our food delivered. The breakfast was delicious. The Tufa Suite was very spacious, and the layout was perfect. The photos online don't do justice to how nice our suite was. It had a Jacuzzi tub, outdoor shower, and indoor steam shower. The outdoor shower was one of my favorite amenities. The outdoor seating was perfect to enjoy a glass of wine. They included wine glasses, a corkscrew, beverages, and a Nespresso machine in the room. Everything was clean and modern, but not that tacky type of modern you see in other hotels.
Due to our short stay in Napa, we didn't get time to dine at the restaurant, use the spa, or use the pool. Even though we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities at the hotel, it was absolutely worth the cost. We are looking forward to visiting in the future and exploring the property further. They go above and beyond at this hotel, and I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Napa.

3rd stay at the Bardessono within 7 years, and it was always lovely. The size, location, service, and aura is perfect. The little things, such as coffee and croissants being easily accessible in the mornings, the beautiful bridges and fire pits, great cocktails at the bar every night, make it a perfect hotel for us. We had not been in 3 years due to covid, and were shown to a "newly renovated" room. It looked similar to the past rooms, but the counter space beside the sinks on each side were no longer there. All of my bathroom items were squeezed on each side of my sink. (There used to be huge counter areas.) The room's lighting was really strange and dark. The glass windows are still pretty and the shades go up and down, but it was still too dark. The worst of all was the bed and pillows. I am young and don't usually mention beds... but this was like a hospital mattress. I am just confused because if this was a newly renovated room, they need to stop there.

Just came back from a two night stay. Unfortunately, very disappointed.
Room looked dated, furniture worn and chipped. Cheap sheets, bed was not that great. Complimentary bottle of wine (great!) but not even a box of crackers or fruit bowl or similar.
Restaurant food was very mediocre, steak not seared but cooked, omelette completely dry and overcooked and (human) hair on ham.
Private patio attached to room nice and well kept. Outdoor areas tasteful and well kept. Service very friendly. Good location close to all the Yountville restaurants.
In sum this place does not offer enough value for the extraordinary price!
The rooms urgently need upgrading and the restaurant needs a Gordon Ramsey.
Sorry, cannot recommend!

Bardessono is a lovely luxury property with a clean, modern esthetic. Our Tufa suite was gorgeous, very spacious, with a welcome bottle of wine, free snacks, and a fridge stocked with water and soft drinks. I loved the fireplace. There was a huge amount of closet and drawer space, very comfortable. Unfortunately the spring weather wasn't conducive to using the private patio or outdoor shower.
I was a bit surprised at the minimal amenities for such a posh place, not even makeup removal cloths. The toilet was annoying, one of those "green" models which ends up wasting more water because you have to flush it multiple times. And the bedside tables are useless cubes, you can't open them or put anything away, they need to be replaced with something more functional. But those were minor flaws, overall we loved it.
The restaurant was good, and it is an easy walk to all the restaurants in Yountville. Service was top-notch. We had not done a lot of planning for our 3 days there, and really appreciated the concierge putting together a wine-tasting itinerary for us on short notice, since the days of just being able to walk in without reservations are no more. We did have to insist on 3 tastings a day, rather than his preferred 2 with a big lunch, which we don't do. I think he thought we were heathens, lol. But he did a good job for us. And, we were able to just walk in to Cornerstone Cellars across the street on a weekday afternoon, and it was amazing! Definitely recommend giving it a try.

However, the complimentary breakfast croissant was good, the fruit cup and yogurt were a bonus if I didn’t have breakfast credits. The valet staff is so very friendly and helpful. I stayed at the olive which was just by the valet and entrance, in the morning I could hear cars and people talking which is somewhat noisy. The room is spacious, the bathroom is nice with tub and shower, but the shower pressure is low. The second floor view isn’t the best. I was expecting more for the price but unfortunately the hotel didn’t deliver it. The location is good to all famous restaurants.

The space is beautiful and the water features and art are so calming. The food is delicious and the staff are very nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the largest I have stayed at in the Valley. Everything was 5 star and truly perfect. Special shout-out to Ray at the front desk for being so awesome!
