We are UVC members and booked this trip only 8 days in advance. They were very efficient and welcoming when we arrived. They offered us two upgrades but we stayed with our booked preferred club ocean front for the views and sounds of the waves. We atr at Portofina x2, El Patio, and two outdoor events. Everything was delicious 😋. The staff worked very hard and were wonderful in the restaurants and pools. We used the gym daily and it has everything necessary to get in a full workout. The housekeeping staff was also on top of it day and for turndown service. This resort is now at the top of our list for recommendations and return visits.

This was Shaggy & Delia's 18th visit to the SPLC familia. Here's why we keep coming back: The wonderful SPLC staff. They are like family. Yes, we are extremely sad to see the departures over the years. But, SPLC is fortunate to add new staff to the remaining "long-timers" who collectively create the gem to this place. Ok, some honest criticism...Yes - there are some "things and developments" that we are not happy about, mostly associated with Hyatt's acquisition and implementation of their protocols. This has soured our impression of Hyatt, and outside of returning to SPLC, we probably will never visit a Hyatt property. Their "stamp" on SPLC has been disappointing. But SPLC's essence still shines. Please, Hyatt, leave SPLC alone, they were exceptional before you got there. After 18 visits, we think our observations are noteworthy. Yes, we do understand that times are very different, and corporate budgets are tighter than ever. It is what it is, and that's where "visit" comparisons can be challenging. At the end of the day, we are very happy that we came back for #18. OBSERVATIONS: NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT: - Roger, the Piano man. Here's still here, and we are soooo very happy. He brings an elegance to an evening at Rendezvoux, while mixing time-honored tunes with relevant ones. I loved his rendition of Pink Floyd's "Great Gig In The Sky". Perfection. - Raul, the Saxophone man - again, bringing an elegance to the end of a day of great saxophone melodies. - Black Cherry - Yikes, what an incredible band!!!! Please, keep them! - We are sad to see that other entertainment acts have disappeared....don't know if it's Hyatt budget imposing itself or not, but wish they could get some of these back. - Did not see our favorite, Mala Rumba. Hoping it was just timing. That band is the best in Los Cabos. - Just noticed a bit less entertainment options than there used to be. Hoping it is just mere timing and not a permanent thing. DAY ENTERTAINMENT: Delmer - what can we say, mi hijo. Amazing energy. DINING: - Oceana - excellent. One night, we had the best filet mignon EVER, just perfect. Server Salvatore treated us like royalty. A 2nd night, he put on a dessert fire show! Thank you, Salvatore! You created very special evenings. David - sorry we missed you this trip, but looking forward to also seeing you next time, you also make us feel special. All the Oceana staff - always super friendly. - Portofino - we love all the staff here, they are treat us sooo good. Food also good. - Himitsu - Itzumy! The best sushi chef! Thanks for taking care of us. You have to try his Cilantro sauce with the sushi, it's insane. He needs to bottle that stuff for sale! - Seaside Grill, Barefoot Grill, Market Cafe - all excellent both in food and staff. SPA SERVICES - - Gotta try them. They have the best services. Considering all that they do and offer, the price is reasonable. Massages were the best. - Poolside Bar - Genner, thank you for taking care of us, always. We never lacked anything. - BARS: Swim-Up Bar & Swing-set Bar - Hard-working for sure, great drinks, fantastic staff. You hold it all together. Rendezvoux Bar - The staff works so very hard here, fantastic drinks. Oscar V - we love you and always look forward to seeing and talking with you. Luz Marie - a pleasure to meet you, you seem to be everywhere, taking care of everything, it's like they cloned you! PREFERRED LOUNGE - You all are amazing in your service. Lionel P - Thank you for EVERYTHING, for getting us here again, and for always treating us like family. You truly are the gem of this place. Give the Captain a hug from their California family. Martha A - Thank you so much for making our 18th visit happen. Hoping we can do it again this Fall. SPLC will offer a great relaxing vacation, while treating you like family.

When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of bubbles. The staff was very accommodating. We were just there to relax and had Juan and Leonardo as our pool service attendants and they were amazing. Wonderful service and absolutely the best customer experience. We went to oceansa the first night for dinner and the food was not that great. The service was a little slow. The second night we went to Italian and Christian was the best server ever. He brought out a tasting of the menu and we had the most amazing dining experience - the food was incredible. The service was impeccable. We did do the art walk with Frankie and he made the tour a wonderful adventure. We had such a good time. Ivan was the archery attendant and he was funny- entertaining and made the daily activity so fun. Overall it was a great trip. Thank you to all the staff for a great time

We just returned from Secrets Puerto Los Cabos and truly can’t say enough good things. The scenery is breathtaking—it feels like you’re walking through the Chicago Botanic Gardens, but oceanside in Baja. Every view is picture-perfect, and the resort is beautifully landscaped and peaceful. The service was exceptional. While tipping isn’t required, we found ourselves doing it often because every single staff member was so genuinely kind and attentive. Standouts include Ivan, Axel, and Frankie from the entertainment crew—so much fun and never pushy. We loved archery, aqua cycling, the bike ride, and aqua volleyball (huge shoutout to the hilarious entertainment team member who ran it—we didn’t catch his name but he was amazing!). Casino night was also a blast, and we even learned how to play the tables with Alex and Ivan. The food exceeded all expectations. • Himitsu had the freshest fish and hands-down the best sushi we’ve ever had. Absolutely top-tier. • Oceana was a beautiful dining experience—Alex and David made it unforgettable with impeccable service and a perfect ocean view. • Seaside Grill was our go-to for lunch, with light and flavorful fresh seafood. • The buffet at breakfast and lunch was elegant and high quality. • On Sundays, they offered fresh-caught fish (we had tuna) and it was insanely fresh—such a nice touch. • And don’t even get us started on Coco Café—we went five times a day. Legit espresso ground right in front of you, and smoothies made with only real fruit. It was our happy place. Security was top-notch, with two gated checkpoints before entering the resort. Just a quick 10-minute Uber to San José and 35 minutes to Cabo San Lucas. We stayed in a swim-out suite, which was gorgeous, but since we were so close to the main pool, we often ended up there. Next time, we might opt for a patio just for convenience. Housekeeping was also excellent—everything was spotless. Only minor “con” (if you can even call it that): We’re 30 and were probably among the youngest there. It was mostly a quiet, peaceful crowd—likely due to the upscale nature of the resort. So if you’re looking for a party vibe, this might not be it. But if you want relaxation, pampering, and luxury, this is the place. Truly one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back.

We love Secrets! We've been to this one 3 times and plan on returning. Great rooms, value for money, and excellent service. We felt taken care of at the pool, especially by Leonardo Jr! The sushi restaurant is by far our favorite. Cannot wait to come back in 2026.

It's truly a beautiful resort that feels like a slice of paradise. I actually live in Cabo and my partner and I went for the weekend to experience a romantic mini getaway, it was everything we wanted. Relaxing, yummy food, comfortable room and spacious too, beautiful landscape and scenery. We paid for the preferred club experience which to be honest was not as much of a VIP as I thought, maybe because the resort is not as big it does not offer as much exclusivity, that being said I did find it more quiet on that side of the resort (pool,jacuzzi and room) so I guess that is the big plus with that. I had ocean view room, couldn't see much of the ocean BUT could definitely hear it at night, magical. The dinner in the japanese restaurant was one of our highlights, service was incredible and food delicious. Really beautiful resort with an antique feel to it.

We had a great time and the dedication and service of the staff is truly unmatched. My girlfriend and I had truly a wonderful time and were kept very well entertained during our stay. The food and drinks are great, as well the people you will meet whether they’re staff or not! We have to give a special shoutout to Axel, Ivan and Franco, they made us feel like home and always made sure we were smiling and laughing. We hope to see them again someday! -Odet and Steph

Terrible service. People rang the doorbell and barged in at 7:30 AM for housekeeping. And then one night we were in the Jacuzzi and they rang the doorbell and barged in at 9 PM to see if we needed any more towels. It was ridiculous. no one on the staff...

Terrible service. People rang the doorbell and barged in at 7:30 AM for housekeeping. And then one night we were in the Jacuzzi and they rang the doorbell and barged in at 9 PM to see if we needed any more towels. It was ridiculous. no one on the staff could speak any English at all so you could not communicate anything. You would be talking to them and then they would just walk away. Not enough waitstaff around the very large pool it took at least 20 to 30 minutes to get your drink after you ordered. Just awful. Would never recommend coming here and we will definitely never be back.
