Karina & Alfredo are the best bartenders at 23 N lobby bar at Hyatt Ziva. Great service. Amazing drinks. Very funny & out going. Will definitely be coming back. Keep Alfred & Karina at 23 N bar!! We’ve been here for a week and we love this place!!

The Hyatt Ziva was great. We stayed in a swim-up master double room facing the main pool. It was exactly what you would expect at a similar resort. The employees are amazing. They are very helpful and greeted you with a smile. Especially Alejandro, who waited on us all week at the Adult pool. He was always in an infectiously positive mood and ready for a good laugh. Remembered our regular drink orders and always had a good recommendation when asked. Our only suggestion would be regarding the restaurants. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7:00 or 7:30 depending on the restaurant. As early risers, 6-6:30 would have been more convenient but I am sure they have data showing 7:00 works for this location. The is a sports bar and this was a plus for me as an avid soccer fan. The issue was it didn’t open until 5:00pm and was open until 11:00pm. As a destination for travelers from various time zones, I would have liked it to open at 12:00pm. Again, I am sure there is a reason for this decision. Overall our experience was great. We would definitely recommend the Hyatt Ziva and visit again if we return to Cabo in the future

My wife and I absolutely loved the Hyatt Ziva. We spent 7 days here in late February, and the hotel was far from full, except for one or two nights when an Auto parts company was entertaining several hundred customers. We selected our room in quiet area (adult pool side) and it was a swim up “Club” room giving us somewhat preferred service which included private check in, and use of the Club room. The Club room was in the. Ain lobby building with all manner of drinks, regularly refreshed appetizers, and a great balcony area with views of the main pool area towards the Sea of Cortez. During, the private check-in, we did happen to mention that this was a romantic holiday (even though we are in our 60’s). So they marked our room with a “Honeymoon” banner, and we got an extra bottle of champagne. Sort of a cool thing which we enjoyed. But the main thing the swim up room gives you besides direct access to a truly swimmable pool (I swam lengths every morning) is that the Baja Bar waiters, Miguel, Alejandro, and Yesenia, come.by regularly so you can order your drinks from your patio to be brought directly to your room (more accurately a short wade across the 4 foot deep canal in front of your room). This was a truly luxurious experience having a semi-private pool with a swimmable canal to the main adult pool and bar behind it, being served drinks wherever you wanted them. While the Ziva is arguably expensive, the swim up rooms are good value if you want to feel like a million bucks. Of course, our two chaise lounges were our own, so no need to ever reserve lounges. While we were here, the adult pool almost always had lounges available either with their own umbrellas, or in a gazebos shallow water area This might have been due to the time of year, or the fact that many customers stayed on the main pool side of the hotel where it seemed way busier most days. We liked all the restaurants and only saw a lineup at the steak house one night we were there. We went to that steak house on another night and it was good food, but a bit on the loud side. The French (Bon Vivant) and Japanese Tepanyaki (Dozo) were our favourites. A note that you need to reserve with the restaurant concierge if you want Tepanyaki.. we loved the Tepanyaki show by our chef Gilberto. Otherwise if you didn’t reserve, Dozo has regular dining with an a la carte menu which looked quite good. The French restaurant and our waiter Marco were also very good, especially the Crepe Suzette dessert with flaming Grand Marnier. The Buffet was a regular breakfast spot for us, with omelette, Mexican, and pancake bars, as well as an extensive selection of buffet style items. I lean towards breakfast wraps, so would go by the Mexican station for hot tortillas, then fillthem with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese myself. This was my go to breakfast when at the Buffet whereas my wife loved the omelette station. Or we sometimes just got smoothies from the healthy bar, most excellent! The Italian, Mexican, and Italian restaurants were satisfactory but the repeat nights for us were French and Japanese. The Coffee shop and Club rooms were regular stops in between meals or before bed. Also, the baja bar had excellent pork, chicken, or beef (but not fish or shrimp) tacos made by hand at the walk up bar. I’ve seen other reviews where the lack of restaurant reservations was a problem, or lineups at the coffee shop. I guess we lucked out in that regard, booking during a less busy time. The staff were, virtually without exception, outgoing, friendly and helpful, and helped us practice our poor Español. We got to know our Baja bar and Club Room waiters, our housekeeping staff, and some of the restaurant staff, by name, and they would get us our favoured drinks or extra coffee pods whenever we asked. A single problem with the room, a slow sink drain, was fixed within a half hour of being reported. We got good advice a few times from the concierge, including best ways to get to “Centro” the lovely quaint downtown area of San Jose. (We chose local “Urbano” bus, very easy to flag down and only a bit over $1 CAD each way (12.50 pesos)) The entire site was kept very clean and well maintained. We did not see any evidence of dust from the construction mentioned below. So, that’s the good. I’d honestly say the bad and ugly were relatively minor but I’ll mention them. First of all, the sound of music and bingo games in the central pool area were loud enough with either booming bass or repetitive amplified voices to bleed over/through the building over to our side, but muffled so we were glad not to be on that side. Otherwise, it was quiet, except maybe for an hour or so one day when the adult pool area had a foam party, or one night for a wedding. event. The Ziva is very good at limiting noisy events and quiet time started at 9 pm. Exercise and game events in the central area usually went for about an hour, then there was quiet in between. But we were very happy to be on the “quiet” side. We are not young party people, so that side suited us well. As far as the Ugly, nothing at all to report where we were. However, the North tower on the far side from our South wing was still under renovation construction. We never heard any noise from there, but perhaps others staying nearer might have complained about the construction noise. We would come back here in a second, though admittedly I like to swim/bounce in the surf and all of Los Cabos is a bit of a disappointment for ocean/surf activities due to the dangerous rip currents. But the general quality of the Ziva, and our perceived value in the swim up Club rooms made this an absolutely wonderful holiday.

This was our second visit. We had a great time, and it was all because of the people. The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has a wonderful team of people who take care of your every request with a warm smile. We recommend a club room for the convenience of the club and the great service of Marco, who is cheerful, kind, and full of life at 7 AM every morning. Then, have an umbrella drink at the adults-only pool, where Alejandro will remember your name and your favorite drink from days before. Just what the doctor ordered.

We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva with a group for a wedding. The property is beautiful, the restaurants are good (especially Casa Cortez) but the hospitality is what put our stay over the top. Alejandro and Miguel at the Baja Bar took care of us on our pool days. They were AMAZING. They took great care of our group, made us feel welcome and really showed an interest in our well-being. One of the people in our group rolled his ankle the night before we arrived. Alejandro referred us to the on-site doctor, and went above and beyond by finding us at the pool the next day to bring an ankle wrap for our friend so he could fit in his wedding shoes. Our group is already talking about coming back to the Hyatt Ziva in the fall for our annual trip, and that is 100% because of the hospitality shown to us by the amazing staff, and most of all Alejandro!

We travel quite a bit, but happen to be at this hotel for a real estate convention. My husband and I get massages regularly (2-4 a month). I HIGHLY recommend Sonia as a massage therapist. She is extremely knowledgeable about muscles and knows what “deep tissue massage” means. She’s by far one of the best therapists I’ve ever had. My husband agreed. I told her she should open a school and teach her techniques. Claudia is the spa attendant and is so very attentive, goes out of her way to take care of you as soon as you walk thru the doors. Tonia at the front desk was very kind to work with my husbands busy work schedule to fit him in during our stay. Please tips these ladies, they work so hard to make our vacations enjoyable.

Great experience, resort staff were great and very attentive. At the beach you could find different vendors like messages, bracelets, hats and you go horseback riding at the beach. Will definitely visit the resort again and Highly recommend it.

He also recommended and made a reservation for us at a restaurant in San Jose. If or when we return to Hyatt Ziva, we will definitely request Luis as our concierge.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is great. Luis our butler /concierge was very cheerful and extremely accommodating. The food at the restaurants are good and freshly cooked to order. Italian was my favorite with the food and view. We will return for sure.

David the pool bar tender was the best, he knew exactly what we wanted to get lit and served us the perfect drink we that was just right with some great recommendations alongside. He knew he ur names by the end of the week and easily recognized us.
