We went with 3 couples and had an amazing week. Just for reference I have been to 16 different all inclusive resorts in many different countries and Paradisus was by far the best. For the first time ever I would be excited to return. The rooms were great with every amenity we could have needed. Stocked fridge, drawer with snacks, steamer for clothes, lights in closets, beach towels in room, safe etc etc.. We had the Junior Suite Swim up Reserve and could not have been happier. Having said that I would not hesitate to go without the Reserve upgrade. It was nice to have the concierge and a few top shelf alcohol options but you would be fine without it. The service of the employees was first rate from the doorman at arrival to the cleaning staff. Everyone was smiling and willing to go out of their way for anything you needed. I have to give a shout out to Omar at the main adults only pool. He is so friendly and literally made us feel as if we were the only people that he was serving that day. Just an incredible person. Thank you Omar..

My husband and I stayed for 8 wonderful nights at the Paradisus La Perla in the Reserve section. The staff was excellent and attentive and very professional and most of all very friendly! I have to give a shout out to the staff in the Reserve pool bar - Alfredo was one of the best servers I have ever had, he always made sure we had a drink in our hand and made sure we were not hungry. Abisail and Fernando were the bar tenders - always friendly with a big smile on their faces. But watch out for Fernando's strong drinks :). What really made our trip extra special was our concierge, Roberto. He was so kind and took care of our every need (not that we had many there). For example, my husband had mentioned the mattress was really firm. Roberto had the staff put a mattress topper on the bed right away. He also made our dinner reservations for us ahead of time and changed them for us when we asked. But most of all, he made my birthday and our anniversary month extra special with a bottle of champagne and cake. Personally, I would highly recommend upgrading to the Reserve section. You have access to the pool area that is not as loud as the other sections of the resort and much more relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed having breakfast and some lunches at Sante, a restaurant only available for Reserve guests. Food and staff were awesome. You also have your own personal concierge (ours was Roberto) which was really nice added benefit. The food and service at the Sal Steak Cave and Lemonfish were excellent - don't miss out on these restaurants if you go. I have too many great things to list about this amazing resort - we can't wait to go back!

Service Excellence was an evident focus of this hotel from the very start of our vacation. Every employee we encountered greeted us with a friendly smile and a willingness to serve. The hotel was immaculately kept from the grounds to the rooms to the washrooms. The food was excellent with no shortage of options. By far, our best experience was at the Buffet Hadar with Ismael and his coworkers Sandy and Rolando. Ismael took service excellence to the next level by providing the ultimate experience of true hospitality. Ismael took the time to learn about each guest he encountered and built authentic connections that made you feel like youbwere dining with family! The facility was clean and very well looked after! We highly recommend this location!! My husband and I went to this resort for our honeymoon and it was everything we could have hoped for! We booked the Reserve adults only side and the service was INCREDIBLE. Our private concierge, Cynthia, was so helpful, planned all our dinners and answered any questions we had through WhatsApp. Fernando, Abisail and Alfredo were phenomenal servers and bartenders at the reserve private pool. They made the best drinks and had the best service. We very much enjoyed the quieter and private atmosphere of that pool. All-inclusive resorts can be hit or miss with food but every single restaurant we tried at the resort was soooo delicious. We finished our trip with Sal Steak house and it was so good we were stuffed. We also booked the couples massage and it was one of the best massages I've ever had. My husband had never had one and very much enjoyed it. I wish we had spent more time at the spa. I would highly recommend this resort if you're looking to relax and have good food. Hopefully we can go to the resort again some day!

We were here for 8 nights in a Junior garden suite. Our room overlooked the pool. We had considered upgrading to Reserve but glad we didn't as there really was no advantage to it for us. The property is beautiful, and the staff is friendly, gracious, and beyond accommodating. We were a bit concerned about getting dinner reservations as we do not like to dine very late but had no issues whatsoever in getting reservations between 6-7 each night at the restaurant of our choice. You must make your reservations with hospitality unless you are in Reserve. We dined at several of the restaurants and while the food is always beautifully plated, we were not overly impressed with any of the meals. In our opinion, everything was just 'okay'. The best meal of the day for us was breakfast at the buffet where there was plenty of fresh fruits, cheeses, pancakes, French toast, bacon, oatmeal, etc. They would cook made to order omelet's as well. We ordered room service breakfast a couple of mornings on days we had early excursions planned and it always arrived exactly at the time requested. We placed the order the night before. I had read where some guests had complained that there were not enough pool chairs, etc., but we never ran into that problem. We even were able to get a Bali Bed at 10:00 am with no issues. The pool is large and clean and never felt overly crowded even when there were many people in it. The staff is constantly cleaning and maintaining the property and we were impressed at how friendly everyone was no matter the time of day. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My only complaint, and this is always my complaint at any hotel or resort property I stay in ... the bathroom lighting sucks! We were at this resort with several family members and all the women had the same complaint. Lighting is horrid in the bathroom. There are plenty of bars on the property, including the beach. The beach is lovely despite people complaining about seaweed. It is, after all, a beach. There are plenty of activities going on from mid-morning until night and you can participate as little or as much as you like. The spa is beautiful, and we booked a couples massage for the last night we were there. With the massage, you also get use of the sauna, steam room, private pool and hot and cold Jacuzzi's. My husband had a relaxing massage, and I had the deep tissue. Any massage is welcome, but it was nothing spectacular. It was enjoyable, nonetheless. My advice, do not book a massage when checking in. There will be a sign saying there is a special for a couples massage for 300.00 USD. Let them come to you when you are relaxing poolside. My nephew booked the day of check in for he and his girlfriend and were charged the 300. They came to us, and we booked it for 200.00 Everyone raves at how good the resort and spa smell, and they certainly do smell enticing. However, if you have a sensitivity to smell, the spa may get to you if there for a prolonged time. The bell boy station and the bell hop's themselves are absolutely fabulous. From getting cabs to Fifth Avenue to running guests up to the security gate for tours, they are wonderful. There are several tour companies set up in the lobby if you want to book excursions. All reputable and reasonably priced. All in all, it is a beautiful resort with lovely amenities. We had a fabulous time!

La Perla Resort is a 5 star resort with beautiful, plush foliage, extremely private and expansive suites, great pools and an absolutely sparkling ocean. Eduardo with concierge is a dream to have on any vacation and La Perla is lucky to have him in their concierge group. The food here is quite delicious even when venturing over to the family side. Cielo and Flora have tasty appetizers and the children were well behaved. Highlights of our trip include Renau, Gladiola and Brisa all with Sante restaurant. The catch of the day (Sea Bass, bone in) was absolutely the best fish I’ve eaten. Sal Steak Cave is an experience to remember with perfectly cooked steaks and phenomenal side dishes. Humberto and Juliz thank you for the experience and the hostess Raquel for bringing our 21st anniversary to life.. I would like to address an issue we had that was resolved by Roxana in management. People feel entitled as guests of this resort and most others we’ve visited to simply leave their towels at cabanas and poolside lounge chairs without ever using them. I addressed politely an extremely rude and entitled guest about her not using her poolside chairs and umbrella and to simply let other guests be allowed to relax and also cover from excessive sun exposure. She replied “We got here first and oh well, not my problem” I told her she never used the lounge chairs and umbrella since we’d been out at the pool since 8:30 and she then called me a Liar and proceeded to flick me off to which Is asked for a manager. Stricter policies with placards need to placed at every cabana and pool letting entitled people know that just because you leave your towel and belongings somewhere doesn’t give you the right to take the enjoyment out of another guests experience. Great time at Paradisus. Check-in was disappointing as we were not brought to the reserve check-in and when we finally got there, we were told we needed to upgrade to Master Reserve Suite (i had booked a Reserve Suite, not a Junior!) to get a king bed. At this point after a long flight, i just said i'll take the double beds.. only to find out when we got to our room we had a King Bed and swim out (but not in the reserve section). The room was great, service at restaurants was great, Jessica our concierge was awesome. Food was great as most restaurants, Flora was delicious, Lemon Fish not so much. We walked to Playa del Carmen from the beach (approx 45min). The included SPA day with reserve was great, the cenote tour was ok. Never had an issue getting a bali bed or chair on the reserve section of the beach and pool. Spent very little time at the adult pool with the music blaring, just wasnt my vibe. I would definitely return to this resort.

She was very very kind and attentive and asked us to please make sure we sat with her each time we wanted to return and she would make sure our service was perfect. We went back each day and she clearly meant what she said. Nelvia and Alicia made sure we had a great experience for the remainder of the week. Hands down two of the best and friendliest staff we met at the resort during our stay. I strongly suggest anyone taking the time to read this request them when eating at Hadar for breakfast or lunch!

Came here with my partner for vacation and It has been the most wonderful experience. The customer service has been top notch. A couple favorites include Angelo at the pool, always going above and beyond for the everyone at the pool, which is extremely busy. (My suggestion is to get up early and set your pool supplies out so you can get chairs) Arati the concierge was wonderful as well. Everyone is so kind, you really do feel at home. This was our first resort experience and we can’t wait to come back, next time with our daughter. We went without the reserve upgrade but would love to experience that another time. But everyone is treated with upmost respect and everyone goes above and beyond for the guests. You can leave the resort but there’s no reason to. All of the restaurants are amazing at the resort. They have nightly entertainment for both the adult side and kids side. I fear going to another resort because I’m sure it won’t be the same wonderful experience. The idea of leaving is heartbreaking. They have cats running around which get fed and love from everyone, we love animals. The beach is great, with a bar on both adults and small selection for the kids side, with smoothies. The rooms are spacious with a huge tub, and double headed shower. Good coffee, good drinks, good food. Make sure to bring advil and sunscreen and pool floaties because they sell it for way too much money.

I really enjoyed my trip to this hotel it was an absolutely dream became true. The staff was super friendly and attentive our butler Fabian was always pended to our needs making everything works perfectly for my wife and I. The food at the restaurant Sante was simply Amazing with the attention of David the waiter, the buffet was also a plus with Osvaldo attending us there, last but not least Isabel at the pool always willing to attend us bringing always the best attitude to place and accommodate. This hotel is just simply beautiful with all you need to enjoy in all sense.

Having a private pool for the swim up rooms was a great perk and also added seating in the deck for days we couldn’t get a chair or just didn’t want to. Room service was great. So many places through the resort to relax. I would recommend this resort.

The resort is simply beautiful with excellent service from the staff and all the the restaurants were delicious. Lemon fish, Sal steak cave, Tokimeku and Hadar (buffet) were all excellent on the Adult side of the resort. Shaira and Alicia were the most attentive hostesses that served us. They appreciate their jobs and do it well. Flora, Blue Agave, Cielo and Cappella on the family side were also delicious. The resort also offers 3 pools. One is on the Reserve side of the resort. As a Reserve guest, we were offered an upgrade to a Grand Master suite with an Ocean view. A special shout out to our wonderful concierge Nestor Herrera, who booked all our restaurants and answered all our requests. The Reserve Pool and Sante restaurant added that special touch. The Reserve also provides a little snack and bar corner by the Reserve reception which we attended daily. The Reserve Beach provides 15 or so Bali beds and numerous lounge chairs. Once again, the servers would cater to us on a timely basis. The South Avenue bar and the nightly entertainment were very enjoyable. Thank you again for a wonderful stay at your resort. A few items need to be mentioned to our readers: All resort chairs need to be reserved with a towel from the previous day. Paradisus should make a point of asking the staff to remove belongings when they see guests not returning to their chairs after a period of time so that other guests can enjoy the chairs. Although not the resort's fault, but the ocean is littered with sharp rocks. A designated section of the water should be surveyed and cleaned of rocks so that guests can enjoy a part of the ocean without fear of cutting their toes open.

Excellent resort rooms were very nice, great food and night life. It was a wonderful vacation and appreciated our amazing Concierge Cynthia Delgado she alway left a special surprise at the end of the day and was always around to help if needed.

Enjoyed delicious breakfast each & every morning! Wonderful selection. Isabel is an omelette artist 😋 special shoutout to servers Nelvia, Alicia and Abisai for wonderful service, communicating so well and working as a great team! They started us off with mimosas and always gave attention to every detail!

Nice resort and great food, but the beach is small and had a ton of seaweed on the shore. The servers and wait staff were wonderful, especially Guadalupe (Cielo) and Reyna (Fahrenheit)! They deserve a huge thank you and appreciation from management!

Raina is a ROCKSTAR and she truly needs to be rewarded for her EXCEPTIONAL hospitality.

What's not to like...sunny beach, multiple pools, lots of restaurants, all inclusive...just what we needed. Our morning routine has been getting up at 5 to stake out our chairs by the pool, walk for a while and then breakfast at Buffet Hadar. The food is wonderful, unlimited bacon (who doesn't like that), omelettes made to order...just about every breakfast food imaginable and it is all good. What makes breakfast even better is exceptional service and I have to mention 2 of the hardest working men I have had the pleasure of being blessed by their warmth, their efficiency and their service .. Ismael and Carlos. Watching these guys buzz all around taking care of guests with genuine smiles and kindness made our mornings that much better. I sat down 1 morning and my table wobbled...Ismael saw it from across the room and came over with a little wedge to fix it..that is service. My coffee cup was always full and they remembered our cream quantity preference...just a touch. Thank you Ismael and Carlos for making our mornings extra special.

My husband and I spent a week at the Paradisus La Perla Adults Only resort. Here is my impression of the resort: Resort: The resort was nicely laid out with the restaurants set up in the center of the resort separating the Adults only side and Family resort side. The resort itself sits in the midst of a mangrove which was very different from any resort we have visited. When you were on the resort you could not see the ocean and when you were on the beach you could not see the resort! You also have the options to upgrade to the "Reserve" which I cannot speak to as we did not stay in the "Reserve". Room: Check-in went smoothly. The room was a Jr. Suite with a pool view and was very roomy and comfortable. I asked for more hangers when we arrived and they were very prompt to respond and deliver the hangars. Housekeeping was good and the room was restocked every day. Restaurants/Bars: Plenty of bars to get a drink. Shout out to Jesus and Garson at the M-Bar who served up excellent martinis! You do have to make reservations for the restaurants and can only book two-three days at a time which was a little inconvenient as you had to plan to go to reserve something every few days. We had no problem getting reservations for 2 people. There are only a few restaurants on the "adult" side however we did eat on both sides with no problems and not a lot of kids/families if you had a later reservation. Pool/Beach: Really only 1 pool on the adults side which was not very big compared to other resorts we have been to however it was very nice. There was also a "quiet pool" which was small but nice if that is what you are looking for. We tend to go to the beach which was beautiful. There were plenty of beach lounge chairs however not much shade to be had and no umbrellas around the chairs. If you want shade you need to get a "bali bed" which has the thatched roof for shade and to get one of these beds you need to be up at the crack of dawn to mark your spot, otherwise you will be in the sun all day. There was not much seaweed and they did clean it up when it washed up on shore. The waters were pretty calm most of the days we were there and very easy to walk into the water to enjoy the ocean. It was a nice long stretch of beach for walking with no other resorts in the area. There was a bar close to the beach and bar service on the beach as well. Entertainment: There was some entertainment most nights which for the most part was very enjoyable. You do need to consider this when making your dinner reservations if you want to catch some of the entertainment. There was a sports bar which played music by a DJ most nights. There was also entertainment on the family side of the resort that all are welcome to attend if you so desire. Overall, no major complaints and we would stay at this resort again!
