The Westin St. John Resort Villas honeymoon experience emerged from a simple question that many honeymooners have: “Do I choose superior resort amenities or a spacious, laid-back villa experience?” With the immaculate St. John scenery serving as the backdrop, The Westin St. John Resort Villas provide the best of both worlds for a luxurious, luxury honeymoon with no compromises. It all begins with a choice of beautiful villas, with more than a dozen options culminating in a three-bedroom, 2,850-square-foot villa. But even couples that choose one of the studios or two-bedroom villas will be able to indulge in a Westin Heavenly Bed and Bath, a spacious balcony with breathtaking Caribbean views, and a full kitchen for a homelike stay in paradise. You’ll notice the difference in the finest details, too, like the soundproof windows for ultimate privacy.
That detail-oriented approach carries over to the world-class amenities, with a full fitness studio complete with regular fitness classes, an unbelievable resort pool mere steps from the Caribbean, four private tennis courts, and 1,200 feet of private beach. The best is always saved for last, and Sugar and Spice Spa certainly lives up to its promises. From body scrubs and wraps to sensuous couples massages, you and your sweetheart will be treated to a near-transcendental pampering that you’ll never want to end.
Fully relaxed, you’ll be ready to either lay out on the impeccable beach or enjoy all that St. John has to offer. Adrenaline-packed watersports, fascinating historical tours, shopping at the best boutique shops, and a culinary adventure like no other are all available, all the time. The relaxed culture of St. John encourages you to enjoy the island at your own pace. When you’re ready to head back to the resort to watch the sunset at the beachfront Snorkels Bar & Grill, your only worry in the world will be how to spend the next day of your heavenly trip.

This is our second trip to St John Westin Resorts during high season. Awesome place to stay. We were well taken care of from time we landed at the St Thomas airport through when were dropped off back at the airport (STT). They even have a hotel check-in desk at the airport. Cool! These are time shares so likely you'll need to go through a broker. We used stjohncondos.com as our broker this trip and got personalized attention from Amie and Kevyn. Make sure you get the Marriott Reservation number otherwise the front desk can't help you. The property has its own rental car desk. You'll need to make reservation *well* in advance for a Jeep. The Westin does have a taxi stand if you don't want to drive and fight for parking at the beaches. Beaches are simply amazing. Trunk Bay is #1 in Caribbean. Dining out in Cruz Bay was fun times. We will review the five or so restaurants, so look for our reviews here. Make dinner reservations at least a week out. Absolutely a fun trip the second time around. We are already looking at next February for #3.

Nice but not great resort

Hotel serves as a good base to explore St John’s beaches and hikes. Were it not for the upgrade, it would have felt like poor value for the price point.

There didn't seem to be that many options available, so we thought the Westin was a safe bet. We definitely weren't disappointed and I think there are many things that the resort does well. Our villa was very well maintained and the resort itself is lovely. We appreciated that there was a large taxi stand on the property so it was very easy to get around the island without worrying how to get back to the resort. They also have their own ferry service to and from St. Thomas. The times aren't that frequent so we wound having to be at the airport much earlier than necessary which was a pain.
My biggest complaint is that the Reception area has the most unpleasant employees working there. When you enter the area even if they aren't helping anyone they are all looking at their computers without acknowledging or greeting you. It's quite awkward as you're not sure if anyone is going to help you. There was one lady in particular who was quite rude and we were clearly an imposition to her. I will be kind and not mention her name. It is because of this lack of customer service that my rating went from a 5 to a 4.

I booked this for myself and my husband as well as another couple. I was so worried with all the negative reviews and warned everyone up front. We had a fabulous time! People couldn’t have been nicer, villa was great, ate lunch twice at the pool/beach area and was good. We went to the beach bar two nights and had a great time.Bartender was fabulous. Grounds are gorgeous. Would definitely come back. We were in a 3 bedroom villa with a pool. Water a bit too cold so didn’t unfortunately get to use the pool but was nice to have just the same.

Rats! Wish it had been a restful stay.
There was a rat in our room. When we told the front desk, the response was not “we are sorry to hear this.” It was instead, “Why didn’t you call us?” At 2:00 am? Watch your feet at the pool. The chicken poop on the walkways around the pool are...

Watch your feet at the pool. The chicken poop on the walkways around the pool are slick.
Don’t set your drink down by the pool. The iguana came up behind me and dove right into mine for the orange. The staff just laughed and said, “they love the fruit”.
I love animals and outdoors. I love to hike. But c’mon Westin, this is billed as a posh PEOPLE hotel at $500+ a night. I’ll camp if I want to be with nature.
The bed was heavenly but I didn’t sleep waiting for the rat to run across it.
Sorry for the whiney review but the rat was the 3rd event in our 36 hour stay.

Not a good value. They really oversell the place then leave you disappointed. Also, some of the ferry services do not keep information up to date on their websites and not one person at this hotel was helpful with ferry information to BVIs. The beach the hotel was situated on...
