The secluded beachfront cottages at Frenchman’s Cove Resort give couples their own private piece of Jamaica to call their own. Surrounding by the lush jungle, white sand and sparkling blue Caribbean sea, Frenchman’s Cove has it all: seclusion, convenience, luxury, tons to see and do, and one of the Caribbean’s most idyllic locations.

Tucked into its own coastal corner of Port Antonio, Frenchman’s Cove is hidden and yet close to the best local attractions like Reach Falls, Somerset Falls and the Blue Lagoon. The beach at Frenchman’s Cove is an international attraction on its own; known as one of the prettiest in the world, you know that at this resort a romantic, postcard-perfect beach day is right outside your front door. Add on modern amenities like free high-speed WiFi, and you’ll discover a place where old world island charm meets the modern age.

The secluded cottages are rustic yet island-crisp, crafted in wood and stone and adorned with simple yet elegant furnishings built with native materials. Combining with the setting, each cottage radiates with relaxing ambiance, inviting couples to release the built-up stress for it to blow away with the first salty sea breeze.

With the hotel’s restaurant on-site and another, separately-owned restaurant on the beach, you have great dining options just steps away and plenty more with a short trip into town. For the couple who will tolerate nothing less than the perfect Caribbean vacation on their post-nuptial celebration, anniversary trip or plain old lover’s getaway, we can’t recommend Frenchman’s Cove enough.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I would NEVER stay or attempt to to stay at this ‘resort’ again. We showed up for our reservation on 7/8/24 and could not check in as the conditions were atrocious! The office was closed and a gentleman at security showed us to our ‘villa’. There was a huge lizard...

A DUMP

We stayed over the Easter holiday and my god we have never stayed in a more run down and filthy place. The room was horrible, the bedding was even worst. The day before we went I read a few reviews and so I decided to walk with our own bedding...

Bad expirience and starving so leaving a hangry review!

Just to confirm all the bad reviews below are totally justified. I can see that resort just replies back with same things over and over again but nothing really has been done about all the complaints being given about the resort. I can confirm that there is absolutely no deep...

Great Beach

One of the best if not the best beach in Jamaica. Water was perfect. Nice waves. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Food and drinks from the restaurant was delicious and very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

Frenchmen’s Cove beach

Beautiful white sand beach! Fantastic waves for body surfing. Beach is very clean and there is a lifeguard. Very little seaweed. There is enough shallow water for young children to okay in. Great food at the beach side restaurant. Loungers are available to rent for approximately $2.00 US

Update in decor required but staff and beach were good

Stayed in main house which, like the rooms, are outdated. Can feel a bit dusty/old at times but wasn't dirty. Best features: Front desk and housekeeping staff, free breakfast, beach and beach restaurant.
