Melia Cozumel is a very good mid-range price hotel. The beach is beautiful, packed with spaces to lounge, and combed every day to avoid the build up of zargazo seaweeds. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very nice and super helpful. I did find that the cuisine was lacking. We tried both restaurants, the Mexican one and the Fish House and we were... underwhelmed. Both restaurants offered the same dishes as the buffet (only plated and with service) and maybe two or three options beyond the buffet's offers. Fish house had specially terrible food, where you could taste the overused oil in the fritters. It just tasted like everything was made of cheap produce, and that no love or skill went into either of the restaurants menu. The buffet was shockingly much better, although not very varied. The coffee was absolutely terrible and despite them having Nespresso machines they wouldn't let you pay extra for a decent cup of coffee, so we did not drink any during our stay. In any case, this is not an expensive hotel at all, you get what you pay for, but I still wish that there were paid upgrade options to enhance the food experience which to me is a big part of why I travel anyways.

Second time staying at this beautiful, quiet, relaxing resort. Situated 5km north from the city of San Miguel, the area is very quiet. All staff at this resort are exceptional, very friendly & extremely helpful! We are time share owners with Club Melia, therefore we did not have the all inclusive package for our stay. We did opt to pay for all iclusive for the first 2 days & found the food to be excellent in taste and variety. I wish to thank our concierge Alfonso for attending to our every need in a timely & professional manner. He was quick to have our jacuzzi tub repaired & have the non-alcoholic beer placed in our mini bar as well as explain all services available at this resort. We wish to thank our beach & pool area attendants, Diego & Ian, for their constant attention to our needs from reserving our palapa's & chairs to ensuring our beverages were delivered in a timely, friendly manner. We thank all the staff at this resort, you are the main reason of our future stays at this resort!

We just got back from a fantastic week at Melia Cozumel. It was our first time to Cozumel and it did not disappoint. The resort is a smaller resort which is something we had been looking for. At first we were given a room with two double beds instead of a king which was a little disappointing but we made it work. After finding out about the Level program, we chose to Level Up and loved out experience even more. It is not something that you need to do to have a good time though, we just like the convenience of it. The food was fantastic, we had three nights of a la carte and then three nights of buffet and we were very happy with both options. we could've got more a la carte but enjoyed the themed buffet nights so didn't bother with more reservations. The Mexican theme buffet and Asian nights were delicious. We made sure to sit in Leopold's area. He is a very attentive server and added lots of fun to our dinners. We will definitely be adding this to our list of places to travel to again! Thanks for the great week!

Geraldo was our concierge and we already knew him from previous years, he is extremely professional and willing to make your stay top notch! First time at this resort. Found it very relaxing. Had a wonderful time. Food was good. Special thanks to our concierge Alfonso Jimenez who took good care of us during our week stay, and to Iris who ran the morning stretch classes on the beach.

When staying at Melia Cozumel we always request Alfonso y Sandra. He is very tentative to our needs such as restaurant bookings, personal deliveries to our quarters; salons, special birthdays, and celebrations. He does a fabulous job. He even accept WhatsApp messages over the weekend. Enjoy Melia😎

We have been visiting with Melia in Cozumel since 1994. There are so many reasons we keep returning. As you arrive someone is there to greet you, help you with your luggage and get you to your check in. The check in process has always been fast and professional. It is at the registration that you will receive your wrist band / room key along with additional useful information about the resort and entertainment schedules. When we got to our room, the luggage was delivered. The room was very clean, well stocked and fresh. The bathroom was also clean, fresh and had large towels all folded and neatly stored. The room had enough storage for all of our travel belongings and had a safe that you can use your own combination for opening and closing. The grounds are always well kept groomed as well as the beach area. We did notice a small crew came in at night to repair some of the thatching on a pool side cabana. They were very quiet so they wouldn't bother any guests and used flash lights to do their work. The buffet restaurant is well staffed and someone will seat you as you enter as well as take your beverage order. The Melia presents their food offerings in such a way that they are always fresh and do not sit out in the open for a very long time. Each and every day there was fish, chicken, beef and pastas available along with vegetables. In the breakfast line you can order your eggs in any style you wish. If you are a fruit and salad person they have a section where you will find both fresh fruits and greens. In the buffet there is a section for breads as well as pastries. Along with the buffet the is a Bistro a Mexican Restaurant a Taco Restaurant and the Fish House. We also noted that the guests were dressed nicely for the evening reservations at the restaurants. We also noted that someone wearing a tank top and bathing suit was not allowed into the Fish House. There is some form of nightly entertainment and the schedule is posted. We did get to see a magic show and a very good rock band. They also had single musicians performing. The sign of a good operation is how long the employees remain with a company. We have seen Franciso, Maximiliano, Arcangle, Sandra, Antonio, Ian, Diego and Abril there at the Melia for many years and want to thank them for their hospitality. We would like to thank Alfonso, Sandi O and Edwin G for all of their outstanding care and professionalism.
