Lovely relaxing hotel, human scale about 50 rooms set in beautiful gardens with long coast and beach front. We had a really great room, good food different menu each night. Do try the bar, along with regular live music has a team of great mixologists, Virgil is an old school barman, mixes a cool cocktail and can taylor one to your taste, great character and conversation if your in the mood. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Would recommend it.

I don’t think that I can put in to words how much we love this place. We arrived for one night prior to embarking on a cruise. Kimberly greeted us upon our arrival with our favourite cocktails (my spicy margarita was 👌🏽). Nothing was too much trouble for her and we settled right in. We stayed in Camelot (one of the more expensive rooms) and it was just perfect. There was no tv in the room but there was absolutely no requirement for one when you had such a beautiful view. The bed was super comfortable and the room was spacious. The private upstairs terrace was the perfect place to watch the sunset. We decided to remain at the hotel for the evening for dinner, which was great. The service was brilliant! The following day we decided to book an additional day at Cobblers at the end of our cruise as we had enjoyed it so much and again we had a brilliant time. Every member of staff that we met were absolutely fantastic but a special shout out to Kimberly for being a wonderful welcome during check in and also to Damien who made us feel super welcome, We will be back……obviously wearing pink ;)

When you read reviews you sometimes wonder if people have visited the same hotel. Reviews can be fantastic and the next one highly critical. We stayed for 10 nights having previously stayed down the coast last year. Cobblers Cove is an exceptional experience. I will walk you through the stay. Check in. Arrived early evening, greeted with a rum punch. Very friendly reception staff who walked us through the property. We were then taken to our room and found cases already in there. We had an upper circle suite. Small kitchen area with kettle, fridge and tea/coffee. Separate area with sofa leading outside to garden with sun lounges. Bedroom, large bed leading to a dressing area and bathroom. Plenty of storage space. Shower powerful and always hot water. No bath but not a problem for us. Dining area very clean and open with sea breaking. Breakfast cooked to order and good choices. Cold selection is sufficient although not extensive. Pool area always tidy and well attended by staff. Plenty of sun lounges. Here’s the thing… controversial. Given the majority of guests are English and the age tends to be middle to older there was still a tendency for guests to get down and reserve beds. Guess who would be the first to complain.. the English. The staff tried hard to stop this and indeed left notes on the beds stating that after an hour of no show towels would be removed. Good! Barbecue night was really good. Cocktails very good. A nice touch was the afternoon tea served at 4pm. Set you up nicely until you had your evening meal. Staff always attentive. Reception staff always willing to help with restaurant reservations and excursions. The grounds are very well maintained and we managed to see the monkeys. There is no beach behind the hotel so no beds on beach. There is beach either side and you can walk a bit either way. We would highly recommended this hotel.

Our stay at Cobblers Cove was outstanding in all respects. Situated on a beautiful beach with few outside visitors ( all Barbados beaches are public) the views are beautiful. Loungers are set on the terraces for comfort, views, and convenience- wait staff is around frequently to take your order from the bar or to offer water and fruit, towels, etc. Our suite was perfectly clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Bathrooms have modern fixtures and the water pressure is great. French Press with ground coffee is stocked in the kitchenette , along with an electric kettle and a variety of tea. The restaurant was fabulous. It's " open air" with views of the sea from every table. Most important the menu was varied and the quality of the preparation was excellent. We never had a bad meal. The staff was professional and personable. They were very amenable to providing whatever we needed and were a pleasure to interact with. They really made our stay very enjoyable. There was only 1 negative and it was minor- there are lots of birds hanging around the restaurant( but not in it). Tiny squirt water guns are on the tables at breakfast and lunch! A cute idea and they were effective. We will definitely return. Thanks to everyone for your attention to detail!

I am one who prefers a new destination each time we travel, however, I cannot wait to return to Cobbler's Cove for round two. The quaint, club-like atmosphere, superb service, great food and wonderful interior design and gardens make this spot a gem on a world scale. We never left the property for how wonderfully relaxed and pampered we felt at Cobbler's Cove. The (almost) adults-only atmosphere was romantic and chill. Understated elegance reigns at this resort...no flash, but plenty of luxury at every turn. Great job to the graphics team as well! You really have thought of every little detail at CC. Thank you for the memories:)

Cobblers Cove is one of the few family-owned hotels left on the island, and the low-key family vibe is something that we absolutely love. All of the things we want are included - but the flexible dining options give us plenty of opportunity to get out and about on the island. Joanna has created such an amazing team - including the wonderful Gregory (who ensures we want for nothing around the pool), Pearson and Virgil (Bar tenders extraordinaire), Bradley and the team (watersports) and the wonderful restaurant staff including Hazel and Ricardo - and everyone I have left out, you are all wonderful. We would highly recommend this hotel, and have already re-booked :)

We absolutely love Cobblers Cove, from the moment you arrive the warmth of the team and the tropical ambience is wonderful. My wife and I have been to Cobblers a number of times and before that we used to stay with family on the island. Staying at Cobblers made us feel like we were staying with family. The suites are comfortable and luxurious, and the whole team are attentive and friendly, the drinks (rum) and food is exquisite. The island and the cobblers are fantastic but it’s also Joanna and her team that make the difference. From our morning coffee on the balcony watching the monkeys to the whistling frogs and are heads hitting the pillow, every day is special.

Our visit to cobblers cove was amazing, our arrival experience was just like home from home, this fabulous old colonial hotel has been maintained beautifully, the gardens are an oasis of calm and tranquility, our room was ready on arrival and finished to an exceptional standard, our suite was a great size, well proportioned with plenty of hanging space and hangers, a fully stocked mini bar with fresh milk and water. Lovely comfortable sun loungers, fresh towels ,very clean pool area. The new is bar is beautiful ,Virgil, Pearson and co, make the bar a fun place to hang out, great cocktails, unfortunately there are new rules not allowing the sweeteners in the cocktails. A very pretty restaurant, prime ocean front location, staff very friendly and attentive to our every need, all meals are a leisurely affair, as it should be, don’t expect to be in and out in minutes. The management are very hands on, friendly and helpful. For those who want a luxurious vacation Cobblers is a wonderful hotel.

Worn out British colonial style mansion. Many defects on buildings and installations e.g. aircon capacity insufficient and water pressure very low. A thorough refurbishment called for. Laid back Caribbean service. Cordial (and very noisy) staff. Frequently preoccupied with each other rater than serving guests. Always very good mood. Manager invisible. Seems to deliberately avoid any contact with her guests. During ten days stay we were never greeted. Not worth the substantial price tag.

We are regular visitors. The hotel is even better than ever. It is English country house style with exquisite taste. The hotel is charming and elegant with a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with gorgeous views of the sea or the garden. The gardens are well kept and beautiful. The staff were uniformly friendly and attentive - always ready to help with a smile. They made me feel welcome and pampered, and took care of every detail. The food is outstanding and varied, with a choice of local and international cuisine. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning, the scrumptious afternoon tea every day, and the exquisite dinner every night for my entire stay. The hotel also offers fun and relaxing activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, sailing, tennis, golf, and spa treatments. The hotel has also undergone some substantial improvements. The pool and bar area have been reworked beautifully. The wifi was excellent and allowed us to work from the hotel Cobblers Cove Barbados is a luxurious and relaxing hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable vacation. It is a hidden gem that I can’t wait to visit again.

Cobblers Cove is a 45 minute drive from the airport and sits on the north west coast. The hotels along the coast sit on the main noisy road and are usually on small areas of land with little beach. We were warmly welcomed in the small reception area and given a welcome drink in the bar. Our room was entry level and we had no complaints at all. Housekeeping came in twice a day and the hotel was kept very clean. We had a small kitchen area just for making drinks, a patio with comfortable chairs, a small shower room with one sink (prefer two) and a comfortable bedroom with excellent air con throughout. The garden is a delight and we often saw green tailed monkeys playing. The main old house which houses the sitting room, bar and restaurant is very attractive and well kept. When we arrived we were given specific written instructions not to reserve sunbeds and for the first few days this worked well. However as the hotel became busier we soon realised that unless we put our towels and books on a bed before 6am there was no sunbed for us until after lunch and with no beach at all at the hotel the only place to sit was our patio at our room. I will liken the sun beds as being spilt into three main areas similar to a plane, first class - with large umbrellas by the pool overlooking the sea, business - with large umbrellas in pairs around the pool and the majority in economy sardined together in three rows with tiny umbrellas in an area to the side of the pool. Each bed was wonderfully comfortable with a thick mattress but the towelling cover was not washed daily as at other hotels where we have stayed and with many grubby and stained all guests needed two pool towels to cover them- which makes a nonsense of saving on laundry if this is why it is done.Throughout our stay the same lady got up just after 5am and reserved all the first class sunbeds for her friends. The hotel did nothing to stop this. One regular played an electric piano late morning next to the pool. When it was soft classical music for 20 mins it was a delight but an hour or more of loud west end musical pieces, often on repeat, drove several guests away. It was impossible to read a book and although both reception and management were asked that they ask him to have more consideration for guests who would prefer to listen to the birds and waves, the bar staff continued to clap after each piece and encourage him. The bar and restaurant were the major let down of the hotel. Aperol spritz tasted mainly of soda and the gin and tonics were weak. For the first couple of evenings we were offered some lovely canapés in the bar before dinner, but these disappeared the rest of our stay. The bar staff never smiled and if you tried to make a conversation you were cut short. All week we remarked how fortunate we were to have booked B&B. Breakfast was a chaotic affair. You had to queue to be shown a table by one particular member of staff who would also take an order before coming back to deal with the queue. Tea and coffee took at least 30 mins to arrive after being seated. In the meantime there is cereals, pastries, yogurt and melon/pineapple. On several days there was no greek yogurt -only vegan coconut 'yogurt', no mushrooms, no muffins and so on, Lunch at the hotel was restricted to a handful of salads, heavy main meals or sandwiches with chips or salad. Evening meals were better but like lunches often arrived without a key ingredient as offered on the menu eg curry had no roti, beef burger had no lettuce nor cheese, the Caesar salad over the week was reduced to lettuce, chicken and a bit of dressing.One lunchtime we waited an hour for our food with three tables occupied. We often saw plates returned to the kitchen. The restaurant is expensive by UK and Barbados standards and with meals an integral part of enjoying a hotel break, this was a real letdown. We ate out at the top local restaurants in the evening and what a revelation they were. Often cheaper than the hotel they were full and everyone was happy and talking, lovely atmosphere and excellent food, wine and service. Taxis are easily arranged by reception, prompt and friendly if a bit pricey. A return to Local & co being a set 30 USD return -takes about 5minutes. We loved Local & Co the Fishpot, the Sea Shed, and Lone Star. We tried Baia one lunchtime when the hotel only organised its BBQ but although the food was good the restaurant is a little bare and uninspiring. Cobblers Cove appears on several sites as adults only, which we prefer. During our stay there were several under 5s staying and we were woken very early each morning by two in the room adjoining our kitchen. As grandparents we didn't really mind this, it got us up early to try and secure a business class sunbed - but if you are keen on adults only I would suggest you clarify policy with the hotel. My husband throughly enjoyed a couple of the complimentary trips out on the boat and the skipper was a lovely man who showed him all the local sites along the coast. I understand this year several of the west coast hotels have been unable to put sunbeds on the little beach left after the summer storms. Cobblers Cove has no beach at all, except for a tiny area which is dangerous for swimming as it is used to launch the boats and jet skis are often to be seen. In over 30 years of visiting the carribean we had never seen such large waves and with the large rocks assembled along the front of the hotel it would have been too dangerous to swim on most days. The week was unseasonably wet which didn't worry us too much but it was very humid. The manager's cocktail party was a strange affair. We have been to dozens of these and usually management welcome guests in and everyone stands around chatting. It is a great time to meet other guests with whom you can exchange a cheery greeting and a few words throughout the rest of your stay. Not here, we arrived half way through to everyone seated at separate tables and no visible management. The only time we saw the GM was when she spoke to us at check out. The vast majority of the staff were lovely, if solemn and it is evident that the restaurant staff need more training and the hotel as a whole a better management overview. We left missing the wide white sands of Grand Anse beach in Grenada and our daily dip in the calm clear sea there. We have enjoyed several breaks in Barbados over the years - to the Sandpiper in particular, but it has lost it's local carribean flavour and future we will be sticking to St Lucia and Grenada.

Just a couple of niggles, breakfast was a challenge, poor selection on buffet, menu was ok but not everything available and service not great, states on website no shorts for men in evening but even though I asked on bbq nite and reception still said long trousers only, most gents were in shorts so is it a rule or not?? Also says Adult only apart from festive season but a couple of babies there although they weren’t a problem but not the point really. Overall a lovely stay and would return .

This was our 5th trip to Barbados, in a different hotel each time, and it was as if Cobblers Cove had taken the best bits of all the others and created the perfect hotel. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and helpful and we felt at home from the minute we arrived. Our beautiful and spacious room was apparently the cheapest level and located towards the rear of the gardens, but actually this was great for us as all the rooms had glass in the windows (rather than shutters in the living area) and full air conditioning. It was away from any noise from the bar and was extremely spacious (a suite rather than just a room) and we loved it. The bed was comfortable and the suite was kept immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious and the views were just perfect. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we had a hire car and were often out with friends, but we had a couple of bar meals which were very tasty. The pool area and gardens were beautiful and the sunbeds were nicely situated and very comfortable. The only thing you might want to consider before booking this hotel is that access to the beach and sea can be a little tricky at times, and there are no sunbeds actually on the beach, but if this doesn't worry you then I would highly recommend this hotel. We came home relaxed and looking forward to our next trip to Barbados.

A Perfect Stay This was our 1st time at Cobblers Cove and everything about our experience was exceptional from the time we arrived until we left. No delay in being taken to our room, our luggage already waiting allowing us to get settled in. The entire place was clean and tidy. The staff takes a lot of pride in the hotel. We had a ocean front room and we loved having a cup of coffee on the deck each morning. The breakfast was amazing as well as our beautifully presented meals. Given the resort is on the west side of the island, the view of the sunsets each night was amazing. We ate dinner in the restaurant and had bar food a couple of times during our stay, both were great. We had a wonderful stay at Cobblers Cove and we'd definitely recommend. A perfect stay.
