The amenities, food and, especially, the services at Azerai are exceptional! They changed our room, even though we did not explicitly ask for it. They realised that we enjoy high quality teas and without us asking, went to get a few for us. They even offered us two free massages for the « inconvenience » of having had to change room, even though it was them who had taken the initiative, seeing us unhappy with the choice of room we had been awarded. The hotel also has exceptional food, a beautiful design and an amazing pool. We loved our stay at Azerai!

This stunning Art Deco hotel has not only a great location but the staff are simply wonderful. We also indulged at the spa and our therapists miss FO and Trang were so good we fell asleep. Nothing was too much trouble and we can highly recommend.

A trip to the spa at Azerai was the perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring the wonderful city of Hue. I had a fabulous Swedish massage with Trang. If you like a firm deep tissue pick “medium” and it will be as firm as anything anywhere! My body felt rejuvenated!! I loved the fresh squeezed orange juice at the end of the treatment. Plus the sauna and steam room before hand. I give Trang and the wonderful staff at this incredible hotel my highest praise!

Very enjoyable stay here in Hue with this fabulous hotel and staff. Everything was wonderful and the bar manager (we are touring and I apologise for forgetting his name) provided us with excellent service served with fun! All hotel facilities here are superb

Nice enough building and rooms but a little blighted by some work in the neighbourhood at the moment. However…. A few problems. When the restraint is busy it’s unbearably noisy. The buffet is average. The clearing stations are in the restaurant so there’s a constant clatter of plates and cutlery...

Nice enough building and rooms but a little blighted by some work in the neighbourhood at the moment. However…. A few problems. When the restraint is busy it’s unbearably noisy. The buffet is average. The clearing stations are in the restaurant so there’s a constant clatter of plates and cutlery as the staff clear up. It would be simple to fix. We asked on arrival for a restaurant recommendation, we were given one and wanted to go there the next evening. When I asked a different person to book she I believe deliberately booked a different one despite me asking for the first one…. So confusion followed. It was pretty obvious they were incentivised to book us Madame Thu instead. She was rather insistent until we insisted on Banh Gánh which was really good. One for management to watch out that restaurants are not incentivising the staff overtly. Very average stay, bit disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend nor stay there again.

Excellent hotel, top service, the friendliest staff and amazing affordable massages. Food for both breakfast and dinner very good. Trang and Anh from the spa team were very talented and even went beyond the allocated time for our 90 minute Vietnamese massages

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our 2 week holiday in Vietnam. We started our stay by being picked up by the hotel’s car from where we were staying in Hoi An. The hotel was old colonial, smart and clean. Another nice touch is that they have fresh fruit and small cakes in the lobby. Although we stayed in a superior river view room, the main view was of the river front which appears to being developed into a new pathway. This was being done by a very noisy crane which started at 8am and continued to late in the approx 11pm. The crane noises are not good for relaxing in your room. The staff were really helpful with queries and recommendations for dinner. The hotel has a very good tennis court which the local tennis club also uses. We brought out rackets but these can be hired. We got an early flight on the morning we departed but unfortunately the hotel forgot our breakfast box which we had ordered months ago. We therefore had to fill up a breakfast box ourselves from the buffet with the breakfast staff help (who also made us takeaway drinks).

A beautiful hotel with all the amenities. The staff is great. Don’t miss their spa…had a Vietnamese massage with Su…she was awesome! The food is also great and they have a beautiful bar! Loved this hotel…central to everything! A beautiful pool and a great gym too!

We loved just sitting in the charming Deco bar, walking through the corridors, enjoying breakfast in the dining room. And the staff were so lovely and kind. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hue.

Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful Colonial-style hotel. Were greeted warmly upon arrival. The complimentary nut bar was a nice touch! The room was spacious with a large patio with River view. It was Vietnam’s rainy season, so we stayed at the Hotel after our half-day tour in the afternoon. At first, I was hesitant to have lunch at the Hotel ‘cause breakfast was not so good. To our surprise, lunch was delicious. Also tried Hotel’s massage. It was very comfortable! In the evening, rain stopped & we walked bout 10 mins to the restaurant recommended by the Hotel. The Wagyu Pho was one of the best! We also liked the crispy noodle. Would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel!

Incredible experience! Perfect celebration for gold wedding anniversary. Pampered by all the staff in particular by Sony the receptionist and the spa staff and yoga teacher. Romantic dinner in the garden. Thank you everyone we do love you

Azerai Hue is special, and made us feel special. Our room was filled with things that made us think wow, hmmm, huh. Strange hexagonal boxes, what could be inside? Ah, packets of tea. A small dish with a tiny indentation, for the wrapped sliver of hand soap. The best shower head I've ever used, with a triangular array of ten pinholes across 5 rows and 5 columns. Perfect coverage as well as pressure. I've never seen anything like it. Whether these are custom for Azerai, I can't say, but they certainly feel like they were handpicked by a designer who had plenty of freedom and fun. 5-Star amenities are more than just fancy materials and expansive grounds. 5-star is not a label, it is a choice by management, owners, and staff. Azerai chooses to offer excellent experience beyond a hotel stay. We paid for a half day tour of The Imperial Citadel, Hue Royal Fine Art Museum, Tu Duc’s Mausoleum and Tu Hieu Pagoda. Included was a house car with driver, snacks and water, a very well informed tour guide, and even umbrellas to stave off the sun. I'm embarrassed to say I cannot recall her name, but our guide went truly above and beyond. As part of turn down service, we had received some delightfully chewy sweets with sesame on them. My wife and I unsuccessfully searched the city for a store that sells them. Upon describing them to our tour guide, she put us in touch with a bakery that makes them to order. The sweets have a short shelf life, and are not commonly stocked in stores. We had a fresh box delivered to the hotel the next morning in time to catch our flight and back them back for family to enjoy. The dinner cruise was also a delight. Every dish was top notch, the captain was super friendly, and our waiter pointed out highlights along the river and gave us a historical overview. It's hard to fully appreciate just how much it costs to maintain such a variety of services while keeping quality up. Very few hotels, even the highest end ones, bother due to the effort required and reputational risk if things go wrong. Azerai Hue does it, and does it extremely well.
