Beautiful stay at the Warwick for a couple of nights during Christmas Week. Stayed in a Premier Suite with City View. Room had a nice large living room and was a great place to unwind after a full day of walking. Television could be a little larger (40”) Great proximity to all the Christmas sights in 5th Avenue. We even saw the “Christmas Balls” on 6th Avenue from our room. Drinks at Randolph’s were a little pricey, but hey, we’re not in Kansas anymore! Definitely will return!

We had a 1 bedroom suite which was spacious for the value however that is the only advantage. This is not a 4 star hotel, no service from the staff (or room service). We had brown shower water and no hot shower water and had to chase several times for an engineer to come sort this. We ended up checking out earlier than planned which the hotel were fortunately helpful with. The hotel would be much better with some refurbishing in the rooms and better service from the staff.

We've stayed at the Warwick a few times around  Christmas. Here are the pros and cons of this hotel. Pros: Great location, centrally located, near theaters, restaurants, Central Park, Rock Center; courteous housekeeping staff; clean and quiet; very roomy suites; efficient valet service.  Cons: The shower drains poorly. After a quick shower there was at least four inches of standing water. There was no soap in our bathroom, just shower gel. When rooms aren't ready ahead of the 3 pm check in, the staff tries to 'upsell': saying they'll make the room ready sooner for an additional $100. Last year, you could get checked in when the room was ready, which could be as early as 1 or 2 pm. Making everyone wait until 3 pm results in much crowding the lobby, which is small, with not much seating. At 3 pm, everyone rushes to the desk and there's a long line. Seems that this could be managed better. Also, they charge $2 per bag to hold your bags if the room's not ready. We've never seen that at other hotels we've stayed in. So while we like the location and convenience of the hotel, and the cons aren't terrible, they do affect one's perception of the hotel as being welcoming and high-quality.

Its location -- close to the park, Fifth Avenue and the theater district -- is of course a big plus. Never tried the restaurant there. May have been closed when we there. Btw, always take the city view rooms.

Where do I begin? Our Thanksgiving experience was amazing, and I hope to write a review that will be helpful for others looking for information for next year. I apologize in advance that it is long, but when I read reviews, I am looking for details, so I assume some others are as well. Full disclosure - when I have written glowing reviews for other places such as Harbour Village Beach Club in Bonaire, I've been accused of working for the company. I assure you that I do not. I am a retired teacher from Massachusetts who just appreciates when people take the time to write thorough reviews and strive to do the same. We began researching a Thanksgiving trip to NYC for '24 in December of '23. It was hard to pin down specific information that would be helpful in choosing a hotel with a great view for the parade. We read conflicting reports of different hotels, room locations, etc., so it was hard to know how to choose. Our biggest priorities were a fantastic view where we could view the balloons from our room and also have a good view of the floats and bands as they went by. The Warwick delivered, and we have Angela Calabrese (Director of Central Reservations) to thank for this. I can't believe the amount of time Angela spent on the phone with me, answering every imaginable question I had, explaining all of my options, listening to our priorities and advising us for our Bucket List Retirement Trip. Angela's approach left me feeling like I had just had a cup of tea with a good friend, and I never worried about the choices we made. This is a far different experience than I had when researching other nearby hotels - suffice to say, the other hotels don't care...at all. We eventually chose a Parade Full View King Room on the 8th floor. We had 2 large windows which allowed 4 people to watch the parade simultaneously. The windows opened at the bottom enough to allow us to hear the bands as they went by and to put a phone out to take pictures. We also took excellent pictures through the glass. We weren't sure if the 8th floor would be too high, but we had a great view of everything. Thanksgiving Day was rainy and a bit windy, so we were thrilled to stay warm and dry inside. I imagine if it were a bit less windy that the balloons would have been a little higher, allowing us an even better view, but we were quite pleased with the view. We did go outside for the beginning of the parade to watch the turkey float go by and a couple of balloons, but soon went back upstairs. We were able to have the TV on in the background to watch the performances as they happened at Macy's while still watching the parade live. The Warwick is not allowed to reserve space on the sidewalk for their guests, but there was plenty of room, even for us making our way outside around 8:00. Had it been dry and sunny maybe it would have been different, but I can't say. There is a section of the sidewalk that is quite deep, so it seems there would be plenty of room there. However, I am only 5'3" and could not see the bands as they went by. I could see the balloons fine, but the rest was challenging. We have a small, light, foldable step stool that would have been perfect, but we didn't think to pack it. It would definitely make a difference. Having the option to go inside was fantastic. Other things about the Warwick - upon arrival we received a marvelous gift bag - a tote, champagne, luggage tags, sleep masks, mugs, hot chocolate bombs, and a power bank. We weren't expecting this at all, but were told it was because we had a parade view room. Wow - so nice! The room was extremely clean and in fantastic repair. No peeling paint, no dings in the furniture, clean carpet, etc. The internet was perfect the entire time. Fantastic location - we walked to Central Park, to Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, to the Balloon Inflation, dining, etc. The subway was easy to get to and there was always a cab ready. Breakfast was great and service was excellent. They also have an "honor breakfast bar" where you can help yourself to coffee, fruit, pastries, juice, etc. and just write down your room # and what you took. It is very efficient for bringing a quick bite to the room or on your way out. The bar, Randolph's, was wonderful! The atmosphere is very cozy, plenty of seating, a fantastic bartender, and great drinks. Here's another example of how amazing the staff is - I misread my status on my account and went down to the desk to inquire about the 2 free drinks that Gold level members are allowed. Though Michael could not find "gold status" on my account, he honored my request. Upon going back to my room and reviewing my account, I saw that I was mistaken. I made the walk of shame back downstairs to confess my error and to return the drink coupons, but was graciously told to keep them. Some reviews complain about the elevators - there are 3 in the lobby, each of which fits about 6 people. However, with a little investigating, we found 2 more around the corner. We also made use of the stairs to go down most of the time. We appreciated the chance for some exercise, and it was easy going, even though we were on the 8th floor. The lobby is rather small, which was only a problem at check-in/check-out time when lots of people were looking for a place to sit. Up 1 floor is a large, attractive space with additional seating that we appreciated while we waited for our room to be ready. I think the front desk should encourage people to make better use of that space - it was virtually empty whenever we went up there, yet the lobby would be standing room only. If I had to write anything negative, it would be that we were charged $2.00 per bag for storage (total $8.00) while we waited for our rooms to be ready. I have never had a fee assessed for this option before, though, of course, we would always tip. Considering it's in the hotel's best interest to encourage people to vacate their rooms early, then explore on their last day, so that housekeeping can get an early start, this seems counter intuitive. When you factor in that our stay cost almost $9,000 for 4 nights (a price I was more than willing to pay for this once-in-a-lifetime experience), I think they could have thrown in the bag storage. Naturally, it's not the $8.00 - it's the principle. With so many amazing things about this hotel, is it greedy to say I wish they served dinner? Looking back on this trip, I can't begin to explain how much it exceeded our expectations. Whenever you anticipate a trip, you hope for the best and dread the idea of being disappointed. Our stay at the Warwick could not have been better - it truly was a perfect Bucket List stay!

My stay at Warwick New York was delightful! The historic charm blends beautifully with modern amenities. The spacious rooms offered stunning city views, and the staff was incredibly attentive. The location near Central Park and Times Square was perfect for exploring. A fantastic choice for both leisure and business travelers!

This 100-year old hotel is one of NY's classics. The staff are friendly. The property is clean. Juts understand that your room is not going to be modern--it will be updated, but not modern. The AC works great. The bed is comfortable. The linens crisp. The bathroom small but functional....

This 100-year old hotel is one of NY's classics. The staff are friendly. The property is clean. Juts understand that your room is not going to be modern--it will be updated, but not modern. Location is a real plus for this property, with many, many restaurants nearby and you are a short walk from Central Park, Times Square, or most of the theaters.
