W Costa Navarino

We had 2 weeks at the W hotel and there were many positives: the breakfast and pool staff were very friendly, housekeeping was excellent as were the lovely young men on concierge who booked our taxis and took us to The Bay Golf course. The breakfast spread was absolutely amazing with so much choice. We used the gym several times and it was well equipped and clean. The pool area and beach were lovely too. We played each golf course twice and the transfer of our clubs from course to course was seamless. Our only slight negatives were: we paid extra for a swim up room but our room did not get the sunshine at any point in the day so we asked to be moved to a sunnier room so we could sit on our balcony as it was cold in the shade! We got very mixed messages from the reception staff depending who we spoke to and some were quite unhelpful! We didn't eat in the hotel as it was expensive and meals in nearby Gialova were all excellent and much better value. Drinks were also expensive 24 euros for 2 glasses of prosecco and in the bar in Gialova it was 5 euros per glass! Eventually we were moved with just 6 days left and had a lovely upgraded room. In spite of this we would definitely return for the golf and the area but be very mindful of our room choice.

Our fourth visit to Costa Navarino but first time at W Costa. For us, this hotel was perfect. The room was as stylish and comfortable as those at Romanos with a great view of the bay and the greenery of the resort. Everything was close at hand and the layout provided a great opportunity to stroll around and walk off all the food. Speaking of the food, the breakfast selection is outstanding - almost too much to choose from ! All of the restaurants that we ate at in the Agora were excellent but a special shout out to Eleftheria and the team at Hams & Clams as well all of the Santorre team for their outstanding food and friendliness. It was great to take the option to travel over to Navarino Dunes and eat there also. We had a car but a shuttle bus service is available that runs between the resorts. The beach was fantastic for two reasons. Firstly it was enclosed in the Navarino Bay which we are sure helped keep the water slightly calmer and warmer than that at the Dunes. Secondly, it was very clean, comfortable and calm, which is no doubt on account of the absence of children (sorry parents!). The spa options were excellent and Katerina was absolutely brilliant. This is an excellent place for a truly relaxing and high quality holiday and we will definitely return here - we were almost reluctant to share our thoughts!

Always delivers - in fact I find some of the limited number of non 5 star ratings bewildering. There is a vibe at all W’s so if you don’t like or know that - stay elsewhere. We were upgraded again - thank you. This is our 4th time in 3 years and we will be back in 2025. Breakfast amazing and with no kids below 12 it’s an idyllic location - and wonderfully quiet. In house dining is expensive but worth it for a couple of times but plenty of choice locally. It’s great for golfers. 10/10 for Nicole at La Parelia - a star. Also for Kristina Fotinu at breakfast. Always attentive. Can’t wait to return.

Breakfast never felt busy as there are so many options. Must give thanks to Kristina Fotinu ( hopefully this is correct ) who went above and beyond to serve us extra hot lattes. We really appreciate it !! Would love to return - hopefully management will reinstate the 50 € a day towards food and drink

Well, it’s a beautiful property. But the service was not what we expected. We booked the hotel for a day so we could enjoy the seaside on a cruise stop. Yet despite letting them know that we just wanted to be there for five hours, our room wasn’t ready saying...

Well, it’s a beautiful property. But the service was not what we expected. We booked the hotel for a day so we could enjoy the seaside on a cruise stop. Yet despite letting them know that we just wanted to be there for five hours, our room wasn’t ready saying they were “fully booked” which it was clear they were not. We then walked to are the ocean and tried to order a drink at the open pool bar and was told if we were heading to the beach we had to go through a waiter. What? When we went to the beach, there was no attendant, no towels and no one to order. We sat in chairs but then were told those were for owners. How would we know that when no employee was at the beach? We finally flagged a server down to take our order but after a half hour with no drinks we asked another waiter who said the order was never put it. Went to the golf range and they didn’t have any women’s leather golf gloves. What? And the rental clubs were pretty beat up. And then the W cart came by and wouldn’t take me to the W bc I needed to first go 50 yards to drop off my clubs and he had one passenger. Lunch was lovely with a good crew of women servers there. Food was excellent. But then we ordered a taxi from the front desk asking it to be there at 3:45 to ensure we would get to our ship on time. We got out at 3:45 no taxi. Other taxis pick up customers. For us. No taxi. Staff apologized but offered no further help. What? We were about to miss our tender and our son had to call the taxi who brought him here. We made the tender by 5 minutes. Did not need this stress Overall the team, other than the front desk, seems pretty lackluster about their service. We were searching for honeymoon spots but this won’t be it.

After years of travelling the world this was, amazingly, our first trip to Greece. We came on a recommendation to Costa Navarino, largely to be able to play golf and have some fall sunshine. Overall, it’s impressive what is going on in this part of Greece - they are competing...

After years of travelling the world this was, amazingly, our first trip to Greece. We came on a recommendation to Costa Navarino, largely to be able to play golf and have some fall sunshine. Overall, it’s impressive what is going on in this part of Greece - they are competing against Dubai and Turkey for the resort holiday experience - instead of the small family owned places of the past. We have to say they are doing it very well. The golf is terrific - 4 beautiful courses in perfect condition (apart from the digging of the wild boar at The Dunes)… staff friendly and helpful - good quality Taylormade rental sets and carts included in the (not bargain) price. The W is a cool place to stay … gorgeous location on Navarino Bay… very chilled … beautiful layout and tasteful rooms. The F&B offer isn’t the strongest - compares very unfavourably to eg the St Regis in Abu Dhabi (which is a similar kind of concept). Food is expensive and too limited. Drinks are crazy expensive - eg a bottle of Whispering Angel is 75 euro - available in any European supermarket for sub 20 euro. It’s UAE pricing. Doesn’t make sense. To make up for this, you can pop into Pylos to a great little place called Koukos (terrific wine list) … or Gialova (10 minute walk on the beach) … lots of nice options there. The hotel should do better. It doesn’t do that real 5 star thing of anticipating your needs - it took us 3 days to get staff to clear broken glass from the floor from a broken water bottle a maid had smashed… we could never get English breakfast tea in our rooms despite asking over and over … and the coffee was always decaf … small things … but a sign of a lack of process. Also impossible to get a late checkout despite being Bonvoy gold elite… we were kicked out of our room at 11 am. All in all it’s quite a small ‘basic’ 5 star hotel … but the location, the weather and golf mean that we would happily return. I should also say that apart from all the kissing and cuddling and free drinks they were giving friends at the beach bar - the staff were largely really lovely and helpful - especially the guys at the entrance lobby.

Everything was excellent. Premises, room (size, clean, amenities), stuff, breakfast (fresh with huge variety), pool, agora all great!! Special thanks to Kostas Kanaris and Dora at the reception! Thank you so much w team!! We truly enjoyed our stay and will come back!

A beautiful hotel in extremely spacious setting. Plenty of sun beds available both by the pool and on the beach. Excellent quality towels too and plenty of waiters if you could afford a drink!! Room was good although bath towels were small. I would have expected a bath sheet at a hotel like this. 2 words describe this hotel. Inconsistent and expensive. Some days there was a nightly turn down service with fresh towels, some nights not. Very loud music some nights, but not others. The breakfast is phenomenal but rather chaotic at times. A few desirable tables overlooking the sea were hard fought for on some days but plentiful on others. Lots of staff available some days, few on others. We noted how few people were eating at the hotel in the evening due to the exorbitant cost. We ate every evening in Gialova or Pylos, 2 delightful little villages close by where food was excellent, fresh and sensibly priced. 2 large glasses of good wine was €8 whereas at the hotel 2 very small glasses of wine was €28. It was interesting to see so many hotel guests also eating out and many we spoke to complained about the prices at the hotel which clearly drove guests away. Some restaurants in the Navarino Agora are expensive too. The staff are delightful and helpful but the concept of a W resort is not for us. We weren’t great fans of the continual music by the pool during the day so spent all our days on the beach which suited us perfectly. Be aware that there is a closely guarded breakfast menu if you wanted an omelette, eggs Benedict or smashed avocado on toast. There is also a charge for the high speed internet which is not clearly advertised.

Service is seriously lacking at this supposed 5 star resort. Just believe the more negative reviews. Dirty cutlery at breakfast check, poor service at the pool check, poor menus check. The hotel was invaded today by a private party. We were told we couldn’t use certain sun loungers and the formerly great chilled out house music was turned up to the max. We are currently sitting on our balcony listening to drunk people splashing and running around in the swim up rooms, throwing cushions and chairs into their pools and running around naked. Some guests are clearly worth more than others. Lovely way to spend our last night! As the icing on the cake, our room was not ready when we checked in at 3 but the hotel won’t even accommodate a request for a 1 hour extended check out. Seriously?

This is a beautiful looking resort with lots of low rise, stone built buildings which look out into Navarino Bay. The rooms are fine, they are fairly spacious with nice sized balconies. I would have liked some comfortable chairs for the balcony though. The comfortable chairs seem to be spread across the property with no one using them. The worst point about the resort is the food. Most of the restaurants have no main courses for vegetarians at all - you might find a salad if you are lucky. There is a vegetarian restaurant but it closes at 7 which is way too early. Breakfast is also annoying, why put ham in the French toast for example? There is also a secret breakfast menu that you can order from which we didn’t realise until we heard someone else ordering. Why not tell people? The whole point of staying in a resort is to make dining easy and that is not the case here. If they would tweak the menus then this hotel would be a lot better. Shame.
