This place is beautiful. The structures are wonderful and the view of the Whale Tail from our room and the main building was fantastic. Our cabina was well designed and had plenty of space. The grounds are difficult to navigate, but a ride from the cabina to the main building...
This place is beautiful. The structures are wonderful and the view of the Whale Tail from our room and the main building was fantastic. Our cabina was well designed and had plenty of space. The grounds are difficult to navigate, but a ride from the cabina to the main building is always available. The grounds have planty of trail space to walk, bird watch, etc. My wife had a great massage in the room while I was bird watching. The drive to the lodge is very vertical. If you drive it, be aware that it is very manageable, but do not be faint of heart. The food was absolutely fantastic. The last night’s meal was more creative and tasty than any meal we had in CR. My wife has some mobility issues, so understand that although VC is in the hills above Uvita, the stay was very easy on her….and on me. Finally the staff and the owner were very accommodating and always available. We will return in our next visit to CR.

The Vista Celestial is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Costa Rica. The views are spectacular, the food is amazing, and the service is fantastic. Me and my husband enjoyed our tenth wedding anniversary at Vista Celestial. I would highly recommend this beautiful boutique.

My husband and I went to Vista Celestial the first week of February for our honeymoon. This trip was a year in the making and fully exceeded any of our expectations. From the booking process, where the concierge team supported us as we made the decision on what to book and supporting us on the honeymoon adventure package. To some changes along the way. To final arrangements as our trip approached, every step of the way was amazing. But then we stepped foot on the property, after a very long travel day, we were greeted with smiles, a fresh drink and amazing dinner. It was simply the best - the most relaxing property but we paired it with adventures each day. We stayed for 7 nights and at no time did we feel "this is too long". There was so much to do in the area and the property. We booked three excursions and they were awesome! The staff also became friends and we are so grateful to have met them...including the owners who were in town and were lovely. Special shout out to Jose, Carlos, Tony and Noellie. And the entire kitchen staff. Each meal was incredible and they accommodated us one night when we just wanted to hang in the room. The wildlife and vegetation is the stuff of dreams too! Incredible. If you're questioning booking it - just do it. If you are renting a car, the 4x4 rec is no joke. The drive up to the property requires it.

Best of all the staff is excellent all the way around! Anthony, Jose and Carlos are the best. The food was delicious! The excursions that were set up for us were so fun! The coffee plantation/ hike was a wonderful experience! The beach bonfire was perfect ! They worked so hard making it just right and it was! All of the drivers are kind and courteous. The people behind the scenes that kept the room just perfect and took care of all the details, laundry etc. were so on top of everything! The set up for our yoga practice every time was so creative and artful!
This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at.
Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job and making us feel at home and taken care of!

Vista Celestial is wonderful. The room is large with high ceilings and panoramic, unobstructed view of the whales tail (coffee on the deck with that view was perfect start to each day). A 4WD vehicle is required to access, but well worth it. We arranged all of our transfers in Costa Rica through ILT Costa Rica and it cost an extra $35 each way to switch to 4WD vehicle for the hill. But hotel did contact me prior to arrival to ensure we were aware of need for 4WD and offered to assist if needed (bottom line - don't let need for 4WD deter from staying here as this can all be arranged for you by hotel or 3rd party). Included in stay is free shuttle service to the beach/whales-tail each day (at set time; for custom time there is a charge; but set time was perfect for us). We stayed 4 nights and were a little concerned we would not have enough variety for meals, but the dinner menu was changed up each day, and every meal was superbly prepared and presented (our best meals of 2.5 week CR trip were here). Finally was the service; perfect. The staff is well trained and treats you like family. I highly recommend Vista Celestial.

I’ve visited Costa Rica five times. I’ve stayed in various areas and have mostly rented from air bnb and VRBO. With that experience, I can say that Vista Celestial was incredible! While planning our stay, the staff was quick to respond and was incredibly helpful. The service was by far the best I’ve ever received. Every single drink and food item was incredible! We loved our villa. It was always clean, very comfortable, and the view from our patio was gorgeous! We loved our stay at Vista Celestial and would love to return someday.
