This a both a review and information that you may find useful for Villas Fa-Sol. Through our booking site, the hotel offered one free transport from the hotel to the airport. We paid for pickup and Jordan was waiting for us when the plane landed. Jordan was our main contact while staying at Villas Fa-Sol as he spoke English and could arrange taxis, tours, etc and provide info. We stayed in the corner location on a second floor. Right outside our balcony there was a huge cactus that had iguanas living in it, so we could observe them, as well as all of the birds in the adjoining treed lot. Just so that you aware, this hotel is not located close to town, but that is one of things we liked about it. It was nice and quiet and we often had the swimming pool and the rocky beach (that has chairs) for ourselves to read or listen to the waves. Breakfast is included with your rate - each morning there was coffee, a choice of fresh juice, yogurt and granola, a small fresh fruit plate and a selection of egg dishes. The hotel sometimes serves dinner too, but not consistently. A taxi to La Crucita (downtown) is 85 pesos. Often we would walk to the entry gates (Villas Fa-Sol is in a gated community with lots of very large homes) and flag down a taxi for as little as 50 pesos. But Jordan can arrange a taxi to pick you up at the hotel any time. Options for meals include La Crucita or Santa Cruz (same price by taxi). There are also 4 or 5 restaurants 2 km away outside of the Dreams Hotel - we often walked to these restaurants. If you go the opposite direction from town, there is a small outdoor restaurant at Playa La Bocana that we ate at (short drive or half hour walk) and the best food we had was from a seafood hut at "Bunny Beach" or Bahia Conejos (20 minute walk from hotel) - grilled over a fire (if you eat at the hut, you can use the chairs and tables for free for the duration of your stay). There is a small beach about 5 minutes from the hotel through the trees next to the hotel and you can also go up and down rickety stairs at the end of the road to another calmer beach. We also walked to Togulunda Beach (shared with Dreams hotel) - which is the biggest beach we visited. We enjoyed our stay and really liked the privacy and calmness that the hotel offered.

We really loved our time at Fa Sol. Jordan, Amirani (and the whole team) made everything so easy. The laid back vibe let’s you feel safe and at home.
We stayed six nights and found it easy to be social or private on the property depending on our mood. The non-swimable beach was great to chill and just a short walk on a path to the left or right of the property were swimming beaches.
We rented a scooter for a few days to be able to explore, but taxis are easy too.
The view from our room was fabulous (the wifi not so much) but was enough to get by. I needed to do some work and managed video calls just fine, using tucked away space in the common area.
My husband and I found it hard to leave and will return to this simple yet magical boutique Villas.
Thanks Fa Sol 🤍

We spent two weeks at Villa Fa Sol in the Pulpa Room, a jr. Suite. The views were
incredible from our room (on the second floor, 48 steps) and everywhere in this truly beautiful hotel.
Our room was very comfortable as was our king sized bed.
The grounds were gorgeous. Lots of
sitting areas with exquisite views.
The breakfasts (included,) were delicious.
And we so enjoyed Julio and Jordon who
served us. We also ate some lunches
here.
We enjoyed the small pools, the beaches. One for sunning, the other for swimming.
Gerardo and his son, Jordon, the managers were great, always helpful and friendly. We love the staff here.
We particilarly enjoyed the boat tour of the bays that Jordon set up for us and the archeology museum. The hotel calls cabs which come in about 6 minutes.

This was our first but definitely not last visit to Villas Fa-Sol.
We have been to Mexican all inclusive hotels many times and on both coasts but this was our first experience at a small boutique hotel and were we impressed!
Villas Fa-Sol’s gorgeous website pictures are exactly what we experienced. It is beautiful and has the makings of a wonderful holiday for an adult couple.
The view is breathtaking, the room is comfortable (even though the hot water was not always available), it is very quiet, private, and relaxing. The included breakfasts were made fresh with every order and our mid afternoon Margaritas were outstanding and made with freshly squeezed lime juice. The staff were always attentive and warm even though their English language skills were limited.
The hotel is a short drive from town ($5 taxi ride); the address was needed for a number of taxi drivers upon our return to the hotel. We enjoyed numerous gourmet meals while in town and there was always someone at the gated hotel to unlock the door regardless of the time of our return.
We highly recommend Villas Fa-Sol for a couples holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing visit.

We chose Fa-Sol somewhat at random and because they had available dates for the time of our trip. Amazingly good luck. The buildings and the site/view are gorgeous and very well maintained. We pretty much left only to get meals in Crucecita. Otherwise we stayed and enjoyed the setting. The plantings are beautiful as well. One rarely finds a place so well kept-up. The breakfast offerings were very tasty we looked forward to them. The rooms were comfortable and very quiet at night (except for the soothing surf sounds.) No bar, but a nice selection of small meals is served at reasonable cost until 5 PM. Hot water was +/- but that was OK as it was pretty warm out. We would go back here again in a minute. Quiet, no crowds, great staff, and did I mention "beautiful"?

Wow, wow. Definitely our happy place. From the food, service, accommodations to the people. Love it all. Will go back and spend two months there the beginning of 2018.

This place was fantastic! I would stay there again. The staff, grounds and beach, breakfast, etc - all wonderful and highly recommended! So I will only share some tips.
1. It is far from town - 15 minutes. And there is nothing right there to walk out to. This is not bad, just know that when you are there, you are there. (It certainly forced me to do some extra relaxing.:) )
2. We took taxis rather than rent a car - far cheaper. But it was always a drive to get somewhere, and I am used to just jumping in the car as often as I need to. As I speak Spanish, it was fun to talk to taxi drivers. They all want to take you places, though, and will hustle you to a restaurant at the beach they take you to - if you like one taxi driver particularly, not a bad thing to have your own driver. Just know that they are going to try to 'sell' to you - which for us resulted in our first meal not being where we wanted to eat and we vowed not to let it happen again. (Hotel staff was fantastic at getting us taxis right away, so that was never an issue, and getting taxis back is also no problem.)
3. There are a lot of stairs! Most of the time fine, but after a "long" day out (like snorkeling is so tough), we didn't always want to face them. The view from our room at the top of the place was great, but that room didn't have lounge furniture. I would recommend, even if it's a little more, getting a room on the main level near the dining area. They have a good view and a seating area out front.
4. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but I recommend booking boat/jet ski trips in advance of your stay. We waited and only did a half day and would have preferred a whole day ... and maybe two.

Without a doubt, it is the staff that made our stay here most enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was pleasant, smiling and helpful. The views from our patio and room were some of the best in all of Huatulco. The pool area was quiet and the pool was clean and the water temperature was just perfect. The lounge chairs were comfortable but they sat on grass that was worn and dirty so be sure to bring sandals to the pool area. The beach directly in front of the resort was small but set up very well with plenty of shade and chairs. We saw a whale one day while reading on the beach. It surfaced and broke the water several times, very exciting. The other beach is a very short walk thru the woods. The ocean is much calmer here with some shade. We never saw anyone else using this beach during our visits. The rooms are well appointed with plenty of closet space. The rooms, like the resort are in need of a little TLC. The lock on our door was loose, a window came off the bracket one day when attempting to crank it open, the coffee pot in the room was cracked (they were quick to replace it when informed), small insects on floor at night when returning to room. These were minor inconveniences, nothing that would spoil our vacation. The breakfasts were excellent and service was quick and polite. This B&B is located in a residential neighborhood (a gated community) so we always felt safe and secure. It is only a short (10min) cab ride to either La Crucecita or Santa Cruz. We never had any trouble getting a cab, anyone of the staff will call for you and they are there in about 5 minutes. The general manager, Arturo? was very helpful and knowledgeable about the B&B and the area in general. You can tell he loves his job and takes it very seriously, be sure to take some time to sit and talk with him.

My husband and I stayed for a week and were very happy with the service, Jordan and his mother and father, as well as the rest of the "family" took great care of us. My only complaint ,if it really is one, is it seems to need some maintenance , door handles missing in the shower and closet door , grass needs some upkeep as around pool area lots of dirt which gets tracked into the pool and my one request would to be some room darkening drapes in the rooms as they are quite bright early in the mornings if one would like to sleep in a bit. Overall though, it was a great stay and would and will definately come back.

My husband and I spent one week at Villas Fa-Sol. Stayed in Jr Suite on the 3rd floor with an incredible view and cooling breezes. This is a family-owned and managed resort and the pride of ownership is evident in all aspects. The grounds are immaculately maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is excellent (Thank you Sondra). Jordan can arrange any excursions, give advice on dining and shopping and get you a taxi in 3 minutes! Villas Fa-Sol is located in a gated neighborhood of high end single family homes. Very quiet and private. For lounging around you have a choice of pool or 2 beaches. One beach is any easy walk down to palapas, lounge chairs, rocky coast and ocean surf (no swimming). Other beach is reached by path up and over a hill. This beach is quiet and sandy, good for swimming but with no amenities--bring your own towels, beers etc. An added plus for all of Huatulco is the newer infrastructure--good roads and drinkable water. A taxi is necessary to get to town (La Crucecita) a 10-15 minute ride and fares are very reasonable.
