Elegant but not great value
Travel Date: June 30, 2022
This hotel is elegant but rooms are quite small and it’s hard to justify the cost. Positive: super location, in the main friendly staff. Pool area is well situated and the eating terrace very relaxing. The decor and art absolutely make this feel like luxurious home rather than a hotel....

Where do you start with a review of a hotel like this, this is not your run of the mill hotel this is not a corporate monster this is an Oasis of peace and tranquility. On arrival you are greeted like old friends and this continues throughout. The breakfast is superb and has something for everyone and the restaurant service in the evening although having a limited menu stands against anything else offered in Forte dei Marmi. Lovely rooms comfortable beds, beautiful surroundings within easy walking distance of the beach and the town centre and a staff who genuinely care about their residents. There's not a lot more you can ask for.
Pandemic allowing we will be back soon I hope. Ciao arrivederci.

What a jewel in this area The staff were so attentive. It was like staying in your own home. Beautiful setting. Stunning food and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would recommend this beautiful small hotel to anyone who wants personal service.

Ssshhhh, keep this hotel to yourself! What a little gem. Amazing staff, facilities, rooms and lounges. The grounds and pool are gorgeous and the position in town is just perfect... near to the shops, restaurants and the Wednesday market! A beautiful little hotel.

MY wife and I visited wonderful hotel this August and found this to be exceptional in every way. To start with the staff is so helpful and attends to all your needs, from dinner reservations, beach clubs, shopping suggestions and of course service at the hotel. There is a lovely pool, which is usually not crowded as virtually all the guests head to the many beach clubs. Fore die Marmi has maybe 40 or more beach clubs, all are private, each with a great sandy beach, rare in Italy, and with services, changing and bathrooms, and most have good dining for lunch, some for dinner too. Simone at the front called and arranged one for us, a car picked us up as it was very warm and walking would have been 20 minutes. We went three days in a row. Our suite was very nice, and the breakfasts were terrific. The variety of choice for fruits, cheese, eggs etc breads, meats, salmon and more perfect. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the town, in a quiet neighborhood, or they have bikes you can take and ride to the beach or town. Their suggestions for dining were perfect.
We liked it so much we reserved for next summer 2019

Extremely disappointed, amenities outdated and overly priced. The configuration is crazy. Extremely disappointed, amenities outdated and overly priced. The configuration is crazy. We needed to take 2 elevators and walk about 1/2 mile from our rm to front desk, indoor pool, and dining halls, etc. Never put one toe in either pool afraid of catching something that would require dr. assistance. All dining services sub par. The best thing I ate while there was salad. Rooms are dark, no microwave, no in-room safe, a old-musty order covered by Febreeze.
The sports facilities are terrible: bowling, racquet ball, rock wall.
All workers were nice even if uninformed.
We will never ever go there again.

Booked this hotel after positive online reviews. On arrival, this hotel feels more like a private family home. We were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to newly-decorated "Romantic" room with balcony and stylish ensuite shower room (large shower with 3 different shower heads!). Nice touch on arrival in our room - fresh strawberries; plenty of coat hangers, bathrobes, complementary slippers, lovely linen and fluffy towels. The whole hotel has a lovely atmosphere and is decorated in muted tones with cool stone floors and neutral decor. A delicious breakfast (great selection and choices) is served in the dining area or on the terrace with views of the garden. The grounds are beautifully maintained with an attractive pool area with sun loungers by the pool or larger day beds dotted around the gardens. We also used the free bikes to cycle around Forte Dei Marmi. Ideally placed within a 5-10 minute walk of either the beach or the town centre. A perfect setting for a truly enjoyable break. Highly recommend as a romantic setting for couples.

From the moment you enter the Villa Roma Imperiale, you realize you have arrived to an special place. this place is elegant, yet decontracte, homey yet excellent service, small boutique hotel where guests are mostly regulars. a GEM!

Villa Roma Imperiale is a beautiful hotel located a stone's throw from the beach. The hotel is impeccably clean and stylishly furnished in the common areas. Breakfast was the highlight of each day with fresh cakes, fruit, pastries and more high quality products presented in abundance. There is a lovely family feel to this place and the staff are extremely friendly.
There were also a few disappointing factors to our stay. The rooms are quite compact and small and lack any charm. I would expect more for the price that we paid. Furthermore, upon arrival, we decided to have lunch in the hotel, which was simple but tasty. When we got the bill, we we shocked to see that we were charged €30 for 2 glasses of Rosé (the same as what we paid for the 2 pasta's). In Italy (the land of wine) it seems criminal to charge such a price per glass! Even top class restaurants we had been to in Forte dei Marmi were not charging prices like these. Out of curiosity I look up the price of this wine online and was further shocked to see the price of 1 bottle retailing at €12.50, which means they were charging more for a glass than the bottle. This left us with a bad taste and consequently it meant we decided not to drink or eat in the hotel during out stay. A shame and not necessary to rip customer's off like that. Finally, at breakfast we were also disappointed to see that fresh orange juice was an extra charge at €10 a glass, something I wouldn't expect when staying in a place of this caliber.

The hotel interior is so tasteful. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is nice hotel decorated with style in the middle of a beautiful garden with pool.
Very close to the beach in a quiet street. Very good aperitif offer (fantastic Spritz) but no real restaurant more of a café with a limited menu. However it is not worth the prices they apply. We were in what was supposed to be a 'royal suite' which looked more like a junior suite in a four star hotel overlooking the parking next to the garden. The price, on the other hand, corresponded perfectly to a royal suite in a five star hotel. We felt cheated.

Villa Roma Imperiale is a stunning boutique hotel that offers tranquility and calm to its guests. The hotel is furnished beautifully and is spotlessly clean in all areas. The breakfast facility and service is excellent, you have everything you need.
The gardens surrounding the pool area are well maintained and in character within the natural surroundings. We used the bikes to get around Forte Di Marmi and enjoyed leaving our car behind at the hotel. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily and we thought the little post cards they left each evening recommending sightseeing trips or excursions were a nice touch. Hopefully we will back soon.
