We’ve stayed at a Villa Estancia property in Cabo and wanted to try some where. The was a perfect choice. Located a 30 minute drive from Puerto Vallarta and just ten to Bucerías, the resort is a perfect location. It’s on the North end of the beach and is more peaceful and relaxed than many others. The property is beautiful, rooms well appointed and views for miles. The thing that really get your attention is the staff. In 6 days I never saw Les than a smile and a quick “hola”. Check in was easy and painless. The doormen were fantastic and informative. If you needed a ride to town, they had it in less than a minute. I think Hugo got about 4 cabs for us! The pool bar is well appointed and well staffed. Lucio and Nico were there every day and took great care of us. The hardest working person at the resort is Jesus, the pool area attendent. Happiest, most friendly man in Mexico! That guy would RUN to help you. I should send my kids down to intern under him! Checkout was easy and convenient, Paola had us ready to go in minutes, and of course the bell team had a full sized van ready and waiting as we walked out the door. We are regular travelers and I can honestly say this is the best review I have ever given

We are Villa Group members and landed here because we booked somewhat late. We have been to all their other resorts, including Flamingos next door but never Estancia. Thoughts? Transportation was good, comfortable, the air conditioning worked. The drive from the airport at rush hour was slow but not bad....

We are Villa Group members and landed here because we booked somewhat late. We have been to all their other resorts, including Flamingos next door but never Estancia. Thoughts? Transportation was good, comfortable, the air conditioning worked. The drive from the airport at rush hour was slow but not bad. Check-in was easy and fast. We are members but they always try to upsell you, fair warning. The pool situation was different than most of the other Villa resorts, probably because these are condos, not a regular hotel. The pool staff have folks that come for a month or more and put out towels for those folks first thing in the morning, knowing their preferred spots. They will accomodate everyone and are very happy to help finding spots and umbrellas. Jesus and Daniel, especially, are fantastic pool staff to work with. You must get out there early to get a favored spot. Though this may be annoying, just go with this flow. Jesus and Daniel will do everything they can to help. If the sun moves and you need a 2nd umbrella, just ask and they will help you. Please do not steal other folks' umbrellas. The food is limited but the Grill here is good. We mostly went next door to Flamingos to have dinner. The Japanese restaurant was mediocre at best, but the staff is wonderful there. The Italian restaurant is the best of the bunch and we ate 2 dinners there. Aldo, at the Italian restaurant, was a wonderful member of the wait staff. Don't forget to make dinner reservations before 3 pm. Estancia is much quieter than the other resorts in this group. They do not play music at the pool all day (as at the other resorts), there are fewer people there, and it is very relaxing. The staff at these Villa resorts are, without fail, wonderful, kind, and attentive. We have been coming for over 10 years and this has always been our experience. One of the differences for this resort, if you bought in at the Elite level (meaning you have spent a lot more money on your time share), there are few extra amenities for you at this resort. You do have your own concierge, you get preference at the restaurants, but there are no special seats for Elites on the beach or at the pool. This resort only allows Elite members to stay here, so if you are a member at a different level, you cannot stay here (at least, that is what I have been told).

Jesus always goes above and beyond for us to ensure we always had a good seat by the pool he even made us towel pillows everyday. the hotel next door has more activities during the day however we opted to stay at our resort most days because of Jesus. Along with that all the servers were very attentive as well and we always felt very taken care of.

Villa La Estancia was amazing. The resort was extremely laid back and quiet. The bell-man, Omar, took care of us right when we arrived and every day after that. The resort was clean. The food was excellent. We enjoyed a massage and spa experience. There was an extremely friendly towel...

Villa La Estancia was amazing. The resort was extremely laid back and quiet. The bell-man, Omar, took care of us right when we arrived and every day after that. The resort was clean. The food was excellent. We enjoyed a massage and spa experience. There was an extremely friendly towel man (I believe his arm was Cesar) who took care of our chairs and towels every day. If you want a more busy resort, you can partake in the events at the Flamingos resort next door for no extra charges. This resort is not for the heavy partiers. There is no dance and party every afternoon. It is for the quiet condo owners and guests. Our only complaint (although mild one) was being demanded to sit with the concierge upon arriving. They wanted to schedule us a time share meeting after a long day of traveling. The timing for this could have been better as we were both tired and had been badgered by everyone at the airport.

Hugo, Irish, Eduando gave us an amazing tequila tasting experience. The entertainment staff are truly awesome in helping us make drinks and delicious foods. Members get invited to a galla event in November What can i say but that we love it here!

This was our 3rd stay at La Estancia and once again we enjoyed our stay immensely. We did do the all inclusive and enjoyed awesome food and cocktails. All of the restaurants have terrific options, even room service food was excellent! Every morning we would enjoy the breakfast buffet and were taken care of by the entire staff and I hope we haven’t missed anyone… Lorena, Esmeralda, Carolina, Angel, Fabian, Daniela and Rufino treated us like family and remembered us from 2 years ago. Watching them serve, they all were so friendly and helpful to anyone who stepped foot into the restaurant. The poolside restaurant/bar served the best lunch and the service was excellent there as well. Ricardo, Josue, Lucio, Santana to name a few and I know I’m missing quite a number of who always made sure we were fed and not thirsty. Daniel was always visible and moving making sure all guests had towels, umbrellas or tables. We appreciated everyone’s service and definitely will return. Thanks for another amazing vacation.

I learnt that the darker 1800 tequila has been aging for a year and my white 1800 that I buy has not been as long therefore the darker 1800 is better. We even had a solo sung to us. We both recommend this activity at the La Estancia, Villa del Palmar, Nuevo Vallarta

A fantastic experience from start to finish. Paola was at the Reception Desk when we checked in and signed out. She should be used as a model of how that job should be handled in all resorts. And the resort itself? Beautiful suite, great balcony, excellent pools, top-notch employees at every job, gorgeous grounds, excellent location. We can't recommend the place enough. One caution: La Casona has excellent food but some nights a piano player bangs out songs you hated in the 1980s and occasionally one waiter shout-sings a song or two. Ruido, not nice, relaxing, music for a small venue. One day some resort will figure out that non-stop music everywhere is not needed. (I reviewed this place in December 2024 when we first visited. There was a problem with restaurant availability then. That problem seems to have been solved: more restaurants open; a buffet restaurant option added at the neighboring resort.) DECEMBER 2024 REVIEW: We stayed in an Ocean Front 3 Bedroom Suite and chose the all-inclusive option. The suite was magnificent! Spacious, well-appointed, above expectations. The pools were wonderful, and the hotel is on an excellent beach (miles long, not rocky, gentle waves to play in). Beautiful grounds at Estancia and the partner resort you can use next door. So why won't I go back? Food. You are thinking that all-inclusive means there are buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner available for dropping in anytime, right? Not here. When the breakfast buffet shuts down, three a la carte restaurants serve the two large resorts. Wait times are enormous: from ordering to receiving food took over 2 hours one lunch, 90 minutes was common. Only two restaurants are open without reservations for dinner and an hour wait for a table is the norm. The food is excellent when it arrives, but the for families with little kids, enormous waits are not ideal. Such a great place if only they can figure out how to feed two resorts full of guests.

Very Beautiful resort. Rooms were very nice, ours didn't have a kitchenette but it was very spacious and had two closets - one was a large walkin that we could store the luggage. Rooms had shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Our room had a smart TV in it which was very nice to relax at end of day with Netflix. We also had a ground level and could walk right out from our patio to pool and beach area. Pretty sweet. Wifi was excellent on resort. You have to get a separate password for the pool area and you can log on at sister resort Flamingo also with no password. We spent a couple of days at sister resort Flamingoes to change the scenery and get involved in activities. Food was very good - didn't have a bad meal. Had no problems getting into any of the restaurants, even the one in lobby you had to make reservations for. Only downside is there was no buffet for dinner in case you just wanted to have a variety for a meal or latenight snack. For lunches, we ordered from our chairs by pool. great service. We did the Whale Excursion - highly recommend this. Was the highlight of trip - so amazing!! We also took a taxi into Puerto Vallarta boardwalk to do some shopping and it was a very nice experience. One negative, my husband and I were quietly throwing a ball in pool - no one else was in pool and they made us put it away as it was a quiet pool. Then not more than 5 min later a bunch of kids were in pool screaming and crying and using water guns and shooting water everywhere... I have no problem with quiet pool but then children should not be allowed either. Would have no problem recommending this resort.

I was lured into what was pitched as a vacation package presentation, but it was really a high-pressure timeshare sales pitch. The staff used pushy tactics, false urgency, and asked for my personal info and ID. They wanted the room number of the hotel I was in, later found that it would be used for harassment and intimidation. It wasted hours of my day and left a bad taste. They even offered a free lunch, then didn't provide it, and in fact added $10.00 to my bill, which they wouldn't provide. Advice to others: These are illegal sales tacics in Mexico. If this happens to you, don’t be afraid to walk out. You’re under no obligation to stay or sign anything. Politely decline, don’t share personal info, and report it to PROFECO if you feel misled.

La Casona is highly recommended. The service and waiters are all exceptional. Shout out to Carolina, Esmeralda, Lorena, Fabian, Daniela, Rufiro for the excellent service. You made our final breakfast memorable. We will be back! Hasta la proxima!

This was our 5th time at the hotel and we are booked again for Nov. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and the staff go above and beyond. A big thank you to Jair at the front desk for moving us to the 7th floor. We always have one of the gorgeous 1,730 sq. ft. one bedroom suites. Make sure you ask for a balcony divider - otherwise you will share the balcony with the adjacent B suite. We had breakfast daily at La Casona and had the pleasure of being waited on by Fabian, Lorena, Esmerelda and Carolyn. Lunches are served at La Parailla, and tend to be on the slow side in the busy season. That restaurant turns into the Blue Grill at night and the meals are first class especially the filet mignon. Bryant, Santana, Ricardo and Daniel deserve special mention. Jesus and Gabriel had our umbrella, chairs and towels ready for us every morning. We regularly visited the Flamingo hotel next door to sample their four restaurants, and also made good use of the lobby bar there. Maria always remembered our drink preferences and gave great service.

My boyfriend, Max, and I stayed at La Estancia Riviera Nayarit from March 7-14, and it was practically a dream vacation. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Ivan was there to assist us every day—he always secured the reservations we wanted and had amazing suggestions for things to do. He even made a point to find us at the pool to check in and ensure we were having the best time. Jesus and Daniel were also invaluable to our experience. They went out of their way to make sure we had seats by the pool, especially in the sun (which was perfect for someone like me who loves to lounge for hours). Their attentiveness truly made a difference. The food at the resort was excellent—we never got tired of the options. We also enjoyed the entertainment, including the night show, bingo, and jet skiing. Beyond that, the resort itself was immaculate. The cleanliness stood out, room service was quick, and the gym was never overcrowded. Another great touch was how safe we felt—the staff made sure to log taxi and Uber details before guests left the resort. I honestly don’t have a single complaint about this trip—everything was seamless. Normally, by the end of a long vacation, I’m ready to go home, but for the first time ever, I wished we could have stayed longer than seven days!
