I absolutely loved this property. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The amenities were great. The restaurants were delicious. I appreciate the hospitality and atmosphere of Vedema. It’s a great location and you can walk to nearby shops and restaurants. You definitely should check this property out. My wife and I really enjoy ourselves.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay and overall it was quite a pleasant stay. Definitely not luxury though. We stayed in Suite Y1. Having stayed in some very beautiful hotels there are definitely improvements that could be made. Firstly, the room cleaning team need to sort things out. They come and clean your room and make the bed and you return to find it all clean and tidy. However, they take the dirty cups and glasses and don't replace them until another member of staff comes later in the day to replace them. Then someone else comes to replenish the coffee, tea, water etc. Another member of staff then later comes to bring a complimentary sweet or snack. We are the couple who has breakfast, goes to the pool and then later we return to our room after lunch to sit on the terrace or have a siesta but we were constantly interrupted with staff. One day I was on the terrace and my husband had gone to sleep. The cup and glass man came and had to leave everything on the table. Why can't the room be cleaned and serviced all at the same time? We also had a gate that led to the next door's terrace and on our first day the staff used our terrace to walk through to next door. We had to complain in the end as we never knew when someone was going to walk past our open doors and windows. It did, thankfully stop. There also was no information in the room giving trip suggestions or advice on the local area. Yes, there was a hotel TV info but this did not include any of this kind of information. There is very little entertainment within the hotel. We only encountered one lady performing during our 10 day stay and didn't even know she was going to be there! Where is the communication? I understand people go here for a peaceful holiday but a little light entertainment would go down well. There are 2 pools, only one with a bar. Why not have bars at both? The staff will come and ask you of you need anything but only when you can catch their eye. On the plus. The staff are very nice and helpful. In particular we would like to praise Lina and Michael working by the pool bar. They were amazing and so helpful. Also Michael at breakfast was so nice and friendly and always had time. The village square has 3 nice restaurants. Our favourite was Olio's and their staff were fantastic. Penelope, George, John and Panos. All incredible. Also the Reki bar next door. The taverna just down the hill from the hotel is great. Good value for money but gets busy at around 7.30 to 8. We loved a trip across the island that we booked in Fira. Great value at 200 Euros. If you want the sunset don't go to Oia. Way too crowded. Go to Franco's bar in Pyrgos, a short taxi ride from the hotel. It's a climb but thoroughly worth it and way better than the scrum in Oia.

It was a very good stay and we felt looked after. Breakfast was great as was lunch on the occasions we had it. The best Greek salad I had while on the Island - the dressing was fantastic with an added zing of lemon. Generally a very good chilled vibe and staff were great and took obvious pride in their work. Ivane who worked at the Alati bar made the best vodka martinis I’ve ever had - surprisingly complex yet subtle. A class act. Loved the fact there was a specific black face towel with “Makeup” stitched into it although unfortunately that disappeared after the first night. A small but great idea and stops you feeling bad about dirtying the white towels! My only concerns: Wine was very overpriced and sometimes the drains in the suite and by the pool smelt a little sulphurous. Noise in the mornings from around 8am near our suite which was a little annoying at times otherwise an extremely enjoyable relaxing stay. Still a great location with the option of staying local in pretty Megalochori away from the crowds or heading to the beach at Perissa or to Fira each 12mins drive away.

Extraordinary, peaceful, original, relaxing, I could go on and on. We were not really sure what to expect before arriving here. Yes, it is a 5-star resort, but that in itself does not say much. Let me begin with the quality of service. All the staff, and I mean every single person, is polite; genuinely and sincerely polite. They give you the impression that they actually do care about your every need there. We arrived quite early, and of course as I imagined the room was not yet ready. We were told that the previous guests had just checked out, and they were preparing our room for us so that we could go in as soon as possible. We took a short (very short) walk around the surrounding village, Megalochori, and before we knew it we had messages telling us our room was ready. The resort is in a beautiful traditional Santorini village called Megalochori, and the hotel complex itself is a smaller version of the traditional village within the village. Everything is aesthetically harmonious and pleasing. Our room (an Aegean suite, λ3, with an outdoor hot tub), was large, had a separate living room and bedroom, with a separate flat screen tv in each room (significant if one person needs to take a nap as the other works). Each room is a traditional little building that blends into the landscape. While the resort in itself is not beachfront, there are sea views from many angles. The pools are all wonderful. Relaxing, quiet, family oriented. If you are into the beach club/pool club scene, this is probably not the place for you. Of the three pools, one is a large heated hot tub, and it works very nicely, a great place to wind down before getting ready to go out for the evening. As I mentioned, our room had its own hot tub, so there was also the luxury of private hot tub sessions. I took a short walk around the complex and saw that the suites with private pools had nice sized pools, and some of them even had fantastic (although distant) sea views. We also spent some time in one of the Dorian suites for a few hours (the least expensive rooms in this complex), and were amazed at how luxurious even this room was. The breakfast was extraordinary, an actual sit down ala carte breakfast (make sure that it is included in your room when you book, because it is worth it). The food was perfect, and they will more or less custom make your eggs any way you want them (as well as my very peculiar coffee order). Did I mention how great the staff is here? Let me say it again. The staff here is all wonderful. Not one bad apple in the bunch (at least in the short time we were there). Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE there was outstanding. From the reception to the cleaning ladies, from the parking valet to the sommelier / manager, from the waiters to the pool bar staff , everyone. Every single person. Friendly, and sincere. Huge congratulations to the staff itself, and whoever trained the staff. More hotels could take lessons from Vedema. If I seem overly enthusiastic, it is because as I said, I was not actually sure what to expect and I was extremely pleasantly surprised. I could write volumes about our short 3 night / 4 day stay. Almost forgot to mention that they honored BonVoy status, and were very helpful when I asked for late check out. To be honest, yes maybe status helped, but I think that as helpful as everyone is here, they would have helped just about anyone in the same situation. While I am not too crazy about going back to Santorini (where do I begin), we will definitely be going back, just for Vedema. This place left such a great impression on us that we really would like to keep coming back, and spend more time here. If you are going to Santorini, I highly highly highly recommend Vedema.

Just got back from an eight-day stay at this superior hotel. If you are looking for quiet elegance, discreet,courteous and professional staff, this is the place for you. The people here go way beyond the call to make you feel comfortable and pampered. Everyone from reception, to the wait staff, housekeeping and maintenance crew were unbelievably gracious. Set in the middle of a small, quaint village full of charm and romance, two things are recommended for sure: a sunset catamaran cruise (the famous sunset will take your breath away and also, if you can, get an upgrade to a villa. The private pool along with the amenities and fantastic service are well worth it. Opa!

We were fortunate enough to stay in a villa with its own private pool, which added an extra layer of luxury to our stay. The general pools throughout the hotel are equally impressive, with comfortable sun loungers that invite you to relax and soak in the serene atmosphere. However, the true star of the Vedema Hotel is its staff. Every member of the team is amazing—friendly, courteous, and genuinely dedicated to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Their warmth and attentiveness create a welcoming environment that enhances the entire experience. Special recognition must be given to the manager, who clearly runs a tight ship. The hotel operates seamlessly, and the high standard of service is a testament to their excellent leadership. In summary, the Vedema Hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury, tradition, and outstanding service. Whether you're lounging by your private pool or exploring the beautifully maintained grounds, you're sure to feel pampered and well cared for. I must say this establishment has been outstanding since the day we arrived. Both Christina and Anastasia went above and beyond with their big smiles in making our stay as comfortable as possible. They even had our suitcases transferred here to Vedema from their sister hotel Mystique. The accommodations were super , clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast by the pool every morning greeted by Michael and many more amazing people like him. There are 2 main pools and a large jacuzzi area with exquisite foliage all around. The sea and Mountain View’s all around are simply breathtaking. Both ladies gave us insight to restaurants and tours in the area and offered to set it up for us along with any transportation we needed. Our island hopping trip was memorable because of this place and the wonderful people who work here. PS This hotel converted from a winery and is like heaven for wine lovers like us.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, and the experience was wonderful. The check-in process was quick and efficient, setting a positive tone from the beginning. The suite we were allocated was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable place to unwind. The breakfast from the menu was truly exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options. Service across all areas was flawless, and I must mention the bellboy service, which was very efficient and took care of all our needs. Thank you for the lovely hospitality; we would be happy to visit again!

We would both like to thank the management and staff for making our short stay (5 days) a thoroughly enjoyable experience, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were also lucky enough to be upgraded to a new 2 bedroom suite which was amazing!

The wine and restaurant staff were 5 stars. The wine tasting with Michael and Elaina was a great lesson in wine making in Santorini. They talked to us about how the vines were grown in a nest shape. The food pairing was plentiful with great conversations of the island. Highly recommend
