I've never written a review before in my life but feel compelled, as a five time guest, to comment on the state of Twin Farms. Cost cutting abounds and is greatly impacting the experience, most notably the food. We did not have one good, let alone great meal while there. Twiggs was very, very disappointing—a "rack of lamb" was two lamb chops and scant vegetables, they ran out of certain entrees, and overall, the meal was terrible. Ambiance has suffered as well. For some reason, probably the cost of logs, they refuse to light any of the fireplaces in the main house unless asked. The renovation is soulless and corporate. We won't be returning.

Twin Farms is the epitome of gracious hospitality! From the start of our visit to the end, we were treated like royalty, and cared for like we were the only guests on the property. The accommodations were superb - immaculate, crisp percale sheets, and super comfy beds. I think they have little elves that visit your cabin when you are out - we never saw anyone, but after we returned to our room, everything was put in order, with fresh towels, replenished snacks, and little chocolates on our pillow in the evening. We even got lovely, locally crafted gifts in our room every day. The staff all greeted us by name every time we encountered anyone. The property is so expansive that we rarely saw any other guests, so we felt like we had the entire property, and all the staff, at our beck and call. A shout out to just of few of the people that cared so well for us - Gabriel, Emma, Ryan, Emily, Izzy, Alex, Emmanuel, Nina, Arthur, Brinkley, Miles, Jack, and of course Michael - the 5-star team at Twin Farms makes this place a little slice of heaven hidden in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Could I recommend it any more highly? I don't think so!!

Words can not possibly explain the wonder and brilliance of Twin Farms. It is that kind of mystical setting that in order to truly understand it, one must visit. My wife and I visited Twin Farms for the first time in early January, immediately after the holidays. We could not have been more blown away by our experience. We are discerning travelers, having had the amazing opportunity to visit many incredible places and hotels, both domestically and internationally. There truly is a mystique that you "feel" as you move through the entry gate. The setting and grounds are beautiful. The arrival experience was outstanding. The food that we tasted, whether in the main dining room, at Twiggs, or through in room was dining was perfect every time. The craft cocktail and wine offerings were thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. Our intent for this brief two day visit was to relax and disconnect. Twin Farms provided the perfect setting to do that. We spent hours, sitting in our bed, looking out the floor to ceiling glass of our tree house, just absorbed in the spectacular surroundings. And I should add that our tree house was outstanding... such a beautiful, well thought out space, with every amenity we could want. We had the opportunity to use the spa for a couples massage, and the treatment was amazing. We lounged in the Furo for an hour, and that was also outstanding. We had an opportunity to have a picnic at the top of the mountain in the lift operator dwelling, and that was incredible. We both said that we could have easily spent a week there, if time had allowed for it.. But the real reason that Twin Farms is what it is, is due to the most lovely and caring staff. They have the mastered the art of service to a level that is difficult to describe. As one other reviewer noted, the word "no" does not exist. It is only about, what can we do to make your experience memorable, no matter how great or small the ask... Upon leaving the property, we had already booked our next stay within 30 minutes. Twin Farms will be a place that we will return to, again and again..

We had a delightful stay at Twin Farms this September. As a group of four (two couples). We stayed in Washington's room and Dorothy's room. The location of the property is pretty remote (which is part of the beauty of the place), so you will almost certainly have all meals on the property, and that's to your benefit. We used the bikes and enjoyed a wonderful ride through the countryside. My sister-in-law took part in the painting activity, and there were plenty of other activities available: scavenger hunts, puzzles, hikes... I'm usually wary of dining options at inclusive places but both restaurants and all meals were absolutely terrific. The concierge had us complete our food preferences in advance and they tailored each meal to our personal requests. I personally preferred the rooms and suites in the main lodge to the newer treehouses because it felt like an authentic experience from the original farm. The treehouses are newer and beautiful and adjacent but not connected to the property The contemporary art was interesting and fun to browse along with the old books. Just before departure at breakfast, the waiter asked us if we would like lunch for the road, and we took four yummy sandwich bags, which came in handy on our drive to NYC. I absolutely recommend Twin Farms for a remote Vermont Getaway!

My husband surprised me with the craziest, most expensive, romantic weekend at Twin Farms. This luxury, all inclusive intimate "resort" is truely magical. Tucked into the woods of Vermont not too far from Woodstock and near a beautiful lake with a state park. The supurb staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to do their best to make your every wish come true. The food is supurb; breakfast which can be taken in the dining room or delivered to your room, lunch at the restaurant or taken as a picnic at one of their many private picnic spots, and dinner in one of 2 restaurants offering either a five course tasing menu with wine pairings at one, or a more traditional menu at the other, you will not go hungry. The sommeliers are knoweledgable and willing to answer all your questions. Activities include...fly fishing, pickleball, canoeing, paddleboarding, a lovely pond for swimming, archery, ax throwing, board games, and hiking just to name a few. There is a Japanese Furo which is privately yours by reservation for about 30-40 minutes, is a great way to relax. This was a once in a lifetime fabulous experience.

We also expected great service at these prices, but what really made our stay particularly enjoyable was how easy going everyone was, proving you can be “world class” without being snooty....

I feel like twin farms needs no review. But it’s attentive, sublime and thoughtful. It’s expensive and while I’m loathe to say you what you pay for, you definitely get an amazing unique experience in the Vermont countryside.
