Beautiful Architecture, Outstanding Staff, but Dining and Comfort Could Be Improved.

We stayed at the Tapestry by Hilton Yucatan and were impressed by the stunning architecture. The staff is absolutely outstanding, with a special shoutout to Cezar, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The food at Sakura restaurant is delicious, but the “all-inclusive” package is misleading—it’s more of a full-board option with a very basic minibar. The dining options are quite limited. The Sakura restaurant is only available four days a week, while the à la carte restaurant has a repetitive menu that isn’t particularly impressive. Although the buffet was offered twice during our stay and was excellent, it’s disappointing that this isn’t a regular option.
As for the rooms, they are spacious, but the air conditioning is noisy, and the soundproofing could be much better.
Overall, the hotel has great potential, but there’s room for improvement to meet the standards one would expect from a Hilton property.

This was a hotel in a perfect location for exploring the town and the surrounding area. All the staff were exceptional in all aspects of the service they provided, whether they were on reception, catering, waitering, bar services and housekeeping. Our room was just right for what we wanted and was cleaned to perfection every day. Only slight criticism was that we would have liked more variation in the evening menu including more traditional Mexican food. The management must feel very proud of their staff.

There’s no buffet, rather you choose your dishes (plenty choice) from the app. This avoids waste and overeating, so I am in favor of this concept. They have nice pool on top floor (4th), a small gym and a spa. Too few shades unfortunately. While check in is at 1500pm, we were fortunate to be able to park our car prior to 1200 and have lunch and drinks on pool deck (inclusive) until room was ready at 1430pm. Nice location close to all evening buzz but not noisy.

It saddens me to write such a horrible review and honestly I could write an essay about how negative our experience was.
Here are the main takeaways for prospective travellers.
1. Custom experience/hospitality non existent. There are a few outlier employees that are quite pleasant but for the most part the staff is incredibly checked out and does not care about providing customers with a world class experience. To highlight this here are two examples that happened to us. My partner and I were at reception and asked if the restaurant was open, sadly it was not so I requested for waters to be sent to our room. The receptionist instead of calling and placing the order handed me the front desk phone and did not look up once. He continued on his cell phone. The next story gets even worse. When my partner and I were at the bar we asked our server if he had any drink recommendations, he turned to bartender and redirected our question to him. The bartender without knowing my partner speaks fluent Spanish, said to the server "No I don't have any recommendations, tell them to get whatever they want". The lack of hospitality is a direct representation of the overall moral of the staff. Some serious corporate training needs to occur otherwise this staff is going to sink this resort.
2. The amenities are comically bad. If you are someone who appreciates good food and drinks this is not the place for you. They lack quality ingredients, their vegetables come frozen and the food is just simply disappointing hotel food. No up to a high end resort standard. The worst part about the dining experience is that the restaurant and bar close if it is raining. Two out of the four nights we spent here we had to have dinner in our rooms because they had no alternative options.
3. Zero empathy and desire to help. We sadly had our return flight severely delayed from 5pm to 2am. The hotel not only made us check out, but did not offer any assistance. They offered us a shower for $75 USD each and would not let us have dinner or use the facilities while we waited. We sat in the lobby for hours because they had zero desire to provide a decent customer experience the moment we had "stopped paying". Not to mention it was poring rain so we couldn't enjoy the town while we waited.
The rooms are quite large and beds are comfortable but you only get two towels and a lot of the touches in the rooms are broken. Our toilet paper holder was coming off the wall for example.
This hotel would succeed if they had a staff that cared. Not sure what caused the staff to be so horrendous but management needs to do something quick. You can visibly see the customers frustration every day. We witness people arguing with the staff and just rolling their eyes by the time they were two days in.
Hilton, I would advise you remove your connection to this resort ASAP.

If you do not noise , get a room as far away from 5th AV as possible and the hotel music ! Loud music cat the hotel is until 11:00 but 3:00 AM on the street! The first night we stayed in a master suite ! It was a total disaster! Could get to sleep until 3:00AM HOT TUB to snd hour and a half for house keeping to fill it up
And after she left we couldn’t turn it off or on or adjust the temperature. We changed rooms the next day to the opposite side of the hotel and it was much better ! We paid a $125.00 upgrade for the suite which was not refunded to us even with all these problems including a leaking toilet the hotel offered us a romantic dinner ! Our reservation was 7:30 when we arrived the restaurant knew nothing about it and had to argue and fight to get it ! I was ready to walk out the staff was friendly ! I’d wouldn’t go back
