Seven Mile Beach was beautiful and you are going to pay a price to stay there. The Westin is no exception. I stay at Westin Hotels often and love them. This Westin is beautiful and the most expensive one we payed for so far but for the price it had some issues. The hotel is right on the beach and you are very close to the water which is why I picked this hotel. I didn’t want a big resort where you had to walk 20 minutes just to get to the beach. That being said the beach area is very crowded and you can’t get a lounge on the beach after 9am. This seems to be a place for conferences and weddings. Which made it very crowded. It claims to be a health and spa resort but the gym is small and the equipment is poor. The elliptical machines were uneven and bumpy. There was only one mat and not enough machines to be a health resort. The spa was also small. The treatments were good and the staff was excellent. The staff at the hotel was very friendly but we were given wrong advice a few times. We made reservations but the staff wrote down the wrong time on the paper they gave us. My husband went back down to the front desk to check and yes they did write down the wrong time. I scheduled a massage and facial but they called later to ask if I can change my times, which I did. We were there for the Super Bowl and asked the front desk a few times if they had any plans. We were told that the bar would be playing the game on their TVs. That day we saw that they were setting up for a party. My husband asked a person that was setting up and we were told it was for a Super Bowl Party. My husband asked a staff member about the party and we were told that they just sold the last tickets 5 minutes ago. It was for premium seats and dinner for the two blow up screens right on the beach and patio. He was very disappointed that we were not given the information about any of it prior. Some of the furniture in and outside was old and worn down while some pieces looked new. The towels by the beach were nice and plentiful. We loved the location and most of the staff. The spa was nice and the restaurant had good food and service.

This was our second stay at Westin Grand, and a repeat of the wonderful experience of the first time. Rooms are clean with bed turned each evening, fluffy clean towels, and a sweet touch with nightly rum cake. Staff is especially exceptional – caring, considerate, and polite. The beach in front of the hotel is superb. Food is good, but not many options for vegetarians. Would stay here again, definitely.

We came here for my birthday! Stayed for a week. Traveled with another couple. We had trouble deciding between the Ritz and the Westin. I’m really glad we booked the Westin. While we definitely missed the overall vibe and extras of a Ritz it was across the street from the beach. We hated our rooms. We booked about 2-3 months in advance? The only option was Island view. Our balcony looked out into the parking lot and busy street. Do not make our mistake. Book another week if ocean view isn’t available. We went to lots of good restaurants for dinner. Our 2 favorites were, Bacaro and Mykonos. We went out on an excursion with the onsite boat company one day. Tried for 2 other days. They cancelled for wind. High winds will cancel trips to stingrays. Try and go early in your week just in case. I would definitely come back to this hotel. I’d make sure to book a water view room. I’d also bring my little kids! Very kids friendly.

I went with my husband for 5 nights. We reserved an island view room. The hotel only has 5 floors and we were on the 5th floor, but the island view is really looking at the parking lot, also those rooms do not have balconies. I was very disappointed but Rafael at the front desk was amazing, he said he could move us after 2 nights but when a room became available the next morning we got an ocean view with a terrace at no additional charge. The beach is beautifully laid out, lounges are spaced out and not over crowded. Dorreth set us up with lounges every morning, she is the absolute best. Kirk at the front door is another gem, always helping whatever I needed. On the way to the airport I forgot my jacket, we came back and he personally took me to get it. I can't say enough how great the staff is. Personally though the hotel was not for me. The rooms are clean but drab, not giving Island vibe. I don't like carpet, it's just personal opinions. The lobby is loud. There is a bar and everyone crowds around standing. I personally enjoy a more lounge atmosphere. I probably won't return because of these reasons but I did enjoy the trip.

We had an outstanding 7 night vacation at the Westin 7MB in January 2025. The property is awesome, even in peak season with plenty of capacity. The beachfront is amazing, the pool is nice. We never had any issue finding a chaise lounge on the beach or at the pool even though plenty of guests selfishly save them all day. There weren’t too many kids around but the Westin had some great activities poolside for them. They have some great restaurant options at the Westin. Nothing is inexpensive on the island but we found the food prices at the Westin at or below nice restaurants we also visited in GC and the food quality and convenience of staying onsite was great. We had the outstanding breakfast buffet at Ferdinand’s included in our package so we took advantage of that every morning. The poolside Tortuga restaurant has great food and theme night buffets most nights. Woto, the sushi/cervici/poke restaurant has amazing cervici and Asian salads. Beach House fine dining outside seating was fantastic. Ferdinand’s lunch and dinner all day is great for families. Their website doesn’t mention it, but Westin recently bought a hotel / restaurant across the street called Sunshine which also has a really good and reasonably priced restaurant for casual meals that you can charge to your Westin account. Service at all of the restaurants is great but Baisad’s knowledge and demeanor at the Beach House made our anniversary dinner really special. As did the entire staff at Woto. Beach and pool staff are super friendly. The housekeeping and bell staff deserve a call out for some over-the-top service and helpfulness. Kirk, a bellman at the front door who seems to work 24/7 was our MVP amongst the very professional staff throughout the hotel, literally giving us valuable advice on a daily basis. He’s a star and Westin GC is fortunate to have him. Finally, when I got to the airport after clearing security I realized I left my AirPods and charging cables by my bed. A quick chat with Charles at the front desk via the Marriott app and a couple of email exchanges with Pritesh confirmed that they found and are shipping my things to me. We travel a lot and have seldom found such a professionally run property with such awesome employees.

We just spent a week at the Westin Grand Cayman on seven mile beach and enjoyed every minute of it. The check-in process went smoothly with plenty of staff to assist the many visitors arriving at the same time we did. Our room on the fourth floor overlooked the pool, the beach, and the Caribbean Sea. Every day our room was refreshed beautifully and included fresh towels and water. We hung out on the beach most days and were set up under an umbrella with towels and with chairs thanks to Doreeth and Ferrick. During the day the beach wait staff (Barbora, Lauren, and Shawn) were attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. We had a wonderful and expansive breakfast buffet each morning at Ferdinands. Bryn and the other hostesses greeted us happily to show us to our table. Sanje made the best omelets (and waffles). The wait staff (Henri, Jeff, Nicolai and Reynald) took great care of us. A few evenings we dined at Ferdinands and the food was delicious. We really liked the rosemary roasted chicken. After dinner we usually spent some time in the lobby bar, which most evenings had live music from 8-10pm. We had the same easy experience checking out. Poppy, the “Experience” manager chatted with us about our stay and gave us some ideas for our next visit that we hope to make next January with children and grandchildren (yikes!). All-in-all, this was a wonderful vacation for us. The hotel staff were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. We can’t wait to return!

We (sadly) just returned from a tremendous week -long stay at Westin Seven Mile Beach Cayman. Status related comments: -Scored the Titanium upgrade to a room with a lovely view, in the scheme of the hotel. We used half points/ half cash for the cheapest room and ended up in the highest category non-suite—-top floor right in the center—which has the best non-suite view. -We were contacted in advance by a liaison asking if we had any specific requests—the upgrade was to our specs (view > suite for us). -$50 breakfast buffet comped daily -$10 voucher for food/bev per day -2 bottles of water per day + rum cake turndown -Lovely plate of birthday desserts awaited our arrival General comments: -The size of the resort is ideal, for us. You can walk anywhere in 5 minutes. -Seven Mile Beach really is just gorgeous….all the blues…powder sand…..super clean….easily swimmable….you can walk for (7) miles. -The views from the balconies at this resort are inherently odd, as the pool and a ton of palm trees are between all ocean view rooms and the beach, except the 2 suites on either end of the resort. -There is music outside 6p-8p and inside 8p-10p. Different and really talented musicians every night of our 7 night stay. -The Beach House resto (most upscale) and the coffee shop were excellent. So was anything containing mahi or snapper at the other spots. -Really nice view from breakfast—get there early or late to score a spot on the perimeter. -The casual beach resto is a terrific patio with excellent HH. -It’s pricier than many properties we’ve enjoyed; it’s not an inexpensive island, in general. -If you don’t want to pay $5 for soda, $30 a drink, and $$$$ for mid sushi…walk across the street to the complex with the mini-mart/ liquor store/ sushi resto/ frozen yogurt place. -If you do want to pay those prices, the beach service is excellent. -A bracelet acts as your digital key to get you up the elevator/ in your room. Very convenient. -Super convenient that the primary catamaran company operates off of the beach and the oldest snorkel operator is across the street. -Heritage Kitchen for lunch or dinner is a must. $20 cab ride or $2 public bus aka shared van ride. -Nice touches at the restos including amuse bouche and truffles after the meal. -So much local seafood, housemade bread, housemade pasta. -Scoring a beach chair in the front row is an adventure. Be on the beach by 6:45a to drop your towel. -8 minute cab ride ($32) to hotel from airport. And the airport was truly the easiest intl process we’ve ever experienced on both ends. -Apparently rental cars are inexpensive and parking free. That’s the way to go if you want to explore—cabs aren’t cheap. -The decor is beachy contemporary—color palate reflective of that of the water. -Non-suite rooms are small. -Side note: The setup of the Ritz is odd. It’s 2 resorts down except that the hotel is on one side of the major road and the beach on the other. Big deterrent for us from the view and convenience standpoint. I keep looking for the bluetooth button thingy at my house to have a drink brought to me. Cannot find it.

We had an amazing time in Grand Cayman and as with any Marriot property, The Westin did not disappoint! We had a very hard time choosing between this property and the Sea Fire nearby since they were priced very similarly. Both are absolutely beautiful (we took a tour of the other) but feel we made the right choice, the beach and pool were so close to the property, the beach area was much bigger, calmer, water much clearer, and it was walking distance to lots of shopping, grocery stores, liquor stores, pharmacy and so many amazing dining options 0.5-.75 mile walking distance. Drinks were a bit pricey outside of happy hour so you might want to make the trip to get some of your favorites at the Tortuga's at the Governors Square Shopping across the street. We were so glad to see the standard of living very healthy for the locals, felt very safe everywhere we went. We can't wait to go back! The week before Thanksgiving is the perfect time to travel as rates are lower and go up almost everyday the closer you get to the holiday. Highly recommend the tour to Stingray island and starfish point. Even in the rain its worth the trip!
