Absolutely terrific. We loved the hotel, the ambience, the art, and last but not least, the staff who were always available and very helpful. A terrific location. Walking distance to everywhere you’d want to be. We booked at the last minute and were delighted to end up here. The restaurant Revival was also terrific. Gets very highly rated on TA. Breakfast was just right. Muffins delicious.

The coolest hotel I’ve been to in a long time! We stayed at the Enclave and the hotel, gallery and service was phenomenal. The room was okay, I booked through Hotel Tonight and got an interior room with out a window, there was a skylight but still felt a bit claustrophobic. We weren’t in the room too much so it wasn’t a big deal. The breakfast blueberry muffins are outstanding and having a m&m vending machine outside of the room was rough but delicious. The doors slam pretty loud but overall the place was terrific.

The vibe was very nice, welcoming staff, and great location. We enjoyed our three day visit. The room was comfortable, the entire hotel team was super friendly, and it was conviently located. It was a great place to stay. We'd stay there again if we return to Charleston.

Great hotel great location From the moment you arrive, all the staff is super welcoming Champagne upon arrival, cookies at night coffee station in the morning. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed and linens. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked vendue hotel for the weekend and so happy we did. we stayed at the enclave across the street but part of their property and amenities. It was a really fun hotel. despite unseasonably cold weather and even a snow storm. the hotel and the staff did everything they could to make our stay fun. From the welcome champagne to the cookies at night. we felt taken care of but also could do what we wanted. there is a vibrant gallery space expertly curated by their in house art curator Allison who gave us a fantastic tour of the current art show “Kaleidoscope” Frank who greeted us at reception gave us incredible recommendations of local cool things to do and places to eat. loved them all. Harvey was exceptional in helping us around the hotel and made the best mimosas ever. Was not expecting to enjoy the mimosas as much as we did but we wound up hanging out for an hour and meeting other guest at the hotel. the social aspect of the hotel was a pleasant surprise. the location is fabulous and definitely great base to explore downtown charleston. Highly recommend the vendue to stay.

This hotel was super nice. Their decor was spectacular and the staff members were very attentive and nice. The location was wonderful-we could walk to anything we wanted to do. The bed was really comfy and the room was spacious. The extra touches-champagne greeting, wine in the late afternoon, cookies and milk at night were great. We’d definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect to explore all the incredible history and beauty the city of Charleston has to offer. The complimentary bikes The Vendue made available was an added bonus.

Started off with a welcome champagne, followed by many special snacks (cookies and chocolate covered strawberries). Later in the day a welcome tour of the art display with complimentary wine! This stay was fantastic from the moment we got there until we left! Highly recommend! Well done!

Welcoming, clean, cozy, comfortable. Perfect location in the historic district, within walking distance to so many sites. The Enclave also offers personal services to help prep reservations, etc. The bedding, particularly the pillows, are amazing!

From arrival to departure everything was superb. All of the staff were most accommodating and the experience was fantastic. The art tour was enlightening and inspirational and even triggered our purchase of some art work from a nearby gallery.

For panache and pretense, albeit for reviews below the best of Charleston, South Carolina's's finer hotels, assessing The Vendue-- two linked but quite different hotels--takes some restraint. At around $200 a night, for example, The Vendue doesn't do breakfast. "Breakfast" arrived in a paper bag hung on our doorknob around 7 AM. For the two of us, the bog contained one mini croissant, two mini buns , one apple, one banana, and coffee we brewed in a Keurigonce we figured it out. The next morning we ventured a couple of blocks along King Street to Miller's All Day restaurant for real breakfast--a big Avocado BLT and Lobster Fries, about $20 each. For lunch and dinner The Venue compensates with two classy restaurants, one a big rooftop overlooking the Charleston Waterfront, and the other in the core of the bustling 18th Century streets downtown. To its credit, the welcome at The Vendue is extraordinarily. gracious and competent. Three or four discreet uninformed successors of earlier generations' bellhops circulate, watching for new guests, checking them in, taking their bags and unloading and parking their cars. The reception area, rather than one big room, is spread among smaller nooks where guests and visitors chat or await rides. Management has added one other touch that might impress guests. It deems the reception area, indeed all the 84 bedrooms, a museum--"Charleston's Art Museum"--the Web site contends, a designation that only The Venue asserts The claim might not, however, be all that persuasive. It is rooted in the hotel's current decorating preference that every room, every Keurig coffee pot, every wall and objet d'art be pristine white or candy cane red. This might make it someone's fine art. But my wife and my preferences in art, unschooled as they are, do not often encompass candy cane red. Red-framed, glued down windows stood out in our bath, our biggest, whitest, nicest space, would not open. No windows open. Many of The Vendue's special touches can be praised. But one cannot be. Both sides of 19 Vendue Range, have free parking for eight or ten cars, those of the 84 rooms' guests. A few are marked "Valet" for guests presumably checking in. About half a block away is a garage for guests' cars. Above the room rate, the parking costs $49 a night. One day it took half an hour for an attendant to retrieve our car from the garage. Unticketed, we took a valet-marked space our last night.

We have been to the Vendue a few times and have always enjoyed ourselves. This trip we were very happy with the check in and room but on check out the staff weren’t helpful at all. Watched me struggle with my bags while talking to themselves, wouldn’t give me water bottles for the road, and the valet was a rude jerk as well. Will definitely be going somewhere else in the future.

Favorite hotel ever! We stayed in Enclave. Staff very personable, tons of special touches like champagne upon arrival and art tour. Room amazing with fireplace and jacuzzi. Second time here. Will def return! Great location. Great for holiday getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Vendue, such a fun and eclectic hotel. We were warmly greeted on a Saturday morning at 10:30am with our room all ready for us to check-in to, what a surprise and how nice to be able to unpack and then head out for the day. The room had a beautiful gas fireplace which was great after a chilly night walking around Charleston. Not sure which we enjoyed more, the milk and cookies at bedtime in the lobby or the bag of fresh pastries and fruit hanging on our door knob each morning! The rooftop bar is perfect for cocktails and a lite bite. The lobby art installations are fun and really make this hotel stand out. The Vendue did not disappoint!
