This is a great hotel, especially if you’re arriving at or departing from Tokyo Station (including using NEX from Narita Airport). It’s not just convenient: our room was wonderful and the hotel staff were helpful, attentive, and just generally awesome. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the beautiful top room of the hotel. The hotel provided a complimentary meet-and-greet for our train, which was helpful because we arrived four floors underground and it was a bit of a maze exiting the station. There’s a direct passage to the hotel from the station so you don’t even need to go outside the building to check in. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

If you are considering other hotels, look no further, wonderful location and close to everything it’s just the best.

Hotel provided excellent service and the Canton Swift restaurant was terrific. The hotel is centrally located and easy walking to the Ginza and Dimaru. Staff were extremely helpful and even escorted us to our train to Osaka. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean.

Amazingly accommodating staff. All of the service was top of the line. It's easy to see why it has won awards for best small boutique hotel. The rooms are impeccable and they come with lots of thoughtful extras. Comfortable bed, great rain shower and bathroom amenities/equipment. Highly recommend!

We were fortunate to stay here twice - book-ending a 10 day vacation in Japan. The hotel has an extraordinarily privileged location, situated above Tokyo Station - despite which we never heard a sound in our maisonette. The staff are beautifully dressed and presented, and display a level of service far superior to many we have experienced in so-called “higher class” hotels. This level of care, plus the attention to detail in the beautifully presented maisonettes and in the serving areas such as The Atrium, marks the Tokyo Station as exhibiting a level of superlative care and service unique for its class. It is worth every yen you spend.

This excellent hotel which has been established in the historic buildings of the old railway station. It still sits on top of the very active station. Facilities are first rate although you need a clever map to get around the hotel with its sometimes confusing elevator system. I had to keep remembering its only four stories high and very sprawling. Great bars as well and our congratulations to the Concierge' Jenna who helped us considerably in getting around. Hotel is well placed to get to attractions including ones by rail.

This is THE hotel to stay in Tokyo. You need to book 3-6 months in advance. You may get twin beds - but the beds are more like North American doubles - too small for two, but big for one. This is an old school, elegant hotel. Multiple great restaurants...

This is THE hotel to stay in Tokyo. You need to book 3-6 months in advance. You may get twin beds - but the beds are more like North American doubles - too small for two, but big for one. This is an old school, elegant hotel. Multiple great restaurants on site, you literally don’t need to leave the hotel. However, the concierge team will make it soooo easy to explore the city. I put them to the test with a number of last minute and quirky requests. (“ I would like a private “Giesha apprentice” performance and dinner for four please or Can you get us into a fully booked super popular restaurant tonight please?”) These folks made it all happen. Perhaps I was just lucky, but they laid out the costs and availability of those requests and more. I like to judge a hotel by the quality of its staff rather than just the nice architecture or location. In the Tokyo Station Hotel’ case the location is unbeatable. In the future, we will only stay here. The architecture is amazing and I have a dozen or more photos of the hotel. BUT - it is the concierge team that is the real reason we will keep coming back!

My husband and I stayed here for the first couple days of our honeymoon. We loved this hotel. The premises are timelessly elegant, and the staff were kind and accommodating. We highly recommend the traditional Japanese breakfast at the breakfast buffet.

This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel. My wife and I stayed at the Tokyo Station Hotel for 6 nights and thorougly enjoyed our stay there. The room was light and airy; the bed comfortable. The staff was professional and helpful. The hotel is excellently located with easy access to the Shinkansen (bullet train), local trains, and subway system. The breakfast buffet was varied and something for everyone. We also enjoyed the Cantonese restaurant En and the restaurant serving Yakitori. Both were excellent. The lounge on the first floor was a nice place to enjoy tea and a light lunch, About a month prior to our stay I asked the concierge to get us reservations at a Michelin 3 star restaurant in Tokyo, which is notoriously hard to get. They got me the reservation! We would definitely stay there again.
