We stayed at this stunning hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. Upon check in we were told we had been upgraded to a stunning suite with a butler. Room was absolutely gorgeous with a separate living room. So much space and huge bathroom. A lovely note left congratulating us and flowers. Next thing there was a knock on the door and we were presented with a bottle of fizz. Staff were all so polite and helpful and the hotel just totally outstanding. We had a fabulous time and couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for making our anniversary very special.

Great place to stay in Rome
The St. Regis is our favorite hotel to stay at in Rome. The rooms are very well appointed and the service is exceptional. They consistently went above and beyond. The car service came in handy and the breakfast is also quite nice. We'll be staying here again.

Wonderful stay! Highly recommend. Fantastic staff and service. We stayed 4 nights in a lovely, very comfortable, suite. During our stay we ordered room service, received assistance from the concierge (restaurant recommendations were wonderful) and had a lovely relaxing afternoon tea. Kudos to my afternoon tea server, Alessia, who gave wonderful suggestions, service and conversation. She is truly an asset to the St. Regis and was even kind enough to give me some lollipops to take back to my nephews. Grazie mille, St. Regis!

Fantastic Hotel for location, History, design, public areas & F & B.. in our opinion what really sets a hotel apart are the people who work there. St Regis Rome should be commended for hiring people with a heart & personality. Impeccable service and kind people are working in this elegant property. I will attach a photo of several saying good bye to is in the Breakfast Room; Giada should teach Hospitality to Marriott employees in training. She and her co workers are the epitome of what a Hotel strives for in the ideal employees. Thank You.

I was very much looking into staying (finally) in this level of a hotel. We flew in to reach Rome in an early morning flight. I was so excited to take my bags into the hotel and explore the city until check in. They whipped our luggage into secure room and told us to come back in a few hours. Unfortunately, upon returning at 3pm , we were informed that our room isn’t ready. The ambassador who stayed in our room had decided to extend her stay. We were offered to go for coffee and tea while the room was getting available and cleaned. Ok. I thought. It can be that bad of a wait. But, two hours go by and we still hadn’t heard anything. At this point, I’m so tired and wonder if we even have a room. The lady checking us in earlier promised us a room with “worth the wait”. Finally we got a room… it was close to 6pm. As we walked into our room… I thought,… this is it. No upgrade. Disappointed and exhausted. Nothing I can do at this point than rest. I’m glad we stayed and visited in Rome but I was expecting more of a smooth check in and honest communication. I hope we didn’t lose a upgrade for nothing…

Hotel is recently renovated and interiors and rooms are quite nice. This could have been a four or five star review but: The hotel confirmed a room upgrade through its app a couple of days before arrival. A day before arrival, it took the upgrade away. Okay. Fine. Upgrades are not guaranteed or expected, but way to start a stay off on a disappointing foot. We were given the room we booked and assured at check-in that it was one of the largest and best in the category and--bonus--it was on the "quiet side" of the hotel. Turns out, it wasn't quite at all. Because on the second night of our stay the hotel hosted a private party that continued until after 1am. The music was so loud in our room (one floor up) that we had to leave the hotel until it was over. When we let the front desk know about the issue, as we left, we also mentioned that the temperature in our room had been uncontrolled. We were assured the hotel would look into the noise and the temperature issue. When we returned at 2am, the party was over, but nothing had been done about the temperature. We called down and a building engineer came up--he confirmed the thermostat in the room was not working. The front desk said there was no fix, but that they would call us in the morning to resolve the issue by moving us to another room. They never called. We finished our stay in a room with no temperature control--paying luxury hotel rates to sweat all night long. I'll also add that the butler service at the hotel is non-existent. We asked three nights in a row for shirts to be pressed. They never were. No one came. We told the front desk about this, too. The kicker? On checkout we were assured that the issues with our stay were serious and that we'd be contacted after we left about resolution. We never were. Definitely not a what I would consider a St Regis level experience, despite the really nice rooms. I will add: The staff at breakfast were terrific and were the highlight of our stay.

We stayed here overnight after a recent Mediterranean cruise and had an excellent stay. We arrived very early, around 9:30 am. We were greeted by warm welcoming staff. Our room was not ready, but this was expected given the early hour. We were offered a welcome coffee after check in, and we received it with the most delectable cakes. A great start! I had emailed with the concierge Mario beforehand for morning tour options. He prearranged for us a private “Art and Food” golf cart tour of the city. The guide arrived right on time at 10:00 am, and we had a wonderful relaxed tour of the city. (See separate review). We arrived back to the hotel around 1:30 pm, at which time our room was ready. I am a Marriott ambassador elite member, but I never take anything for granted. I had booked a regular Superior room since they appeared spacious, but I also requested an upgrade with my available upgrade credits— even though my status should automatically afford me an upgrade. We were given an upgrade to an Imperial King room that was impressive. It was a huge space with a nice sitting area, a large bathroom, two luggage racks ( yes!), and a great mini bar with coffee, tea, premium liquors, and select wines. (Amarone wine??? !!! Quality choice!) We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we had congratulatory notes and welcome treats from the hotel and on behalf of my Marriott ambassador, including a bottle of champagne, rose petals on the bed, fresh cake, chocolates, and flowers. A beautiful presentation that was most appreciated. The bed was beyond comfortable. The bathroom soaps and lotions, etc. smelled amazing. There was a towel warmer. The robes and slippers were thick with good quality. The room had absolutely everything you could ever want in terms of luxury. My husband commented that it was one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The decor in the hotel is elegant. The lobby with adjacent restaurant and bar is beautiful. We had dinner at the resturant since we were departing early in the morning and wanted something convenient. The food was tasty, although nothing special, but the service was top notch. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. The hotel lives up to its 5 star St Regis name.

In a world of " fast" and " modern", it is a great to step into old world elegance and service. The St. Regis in Rome is such a place. The people at the St. Regis do their best to please you. The woman who registered us not only showed us the elevator, but also took us up to our room. The concierges were very helpful. The doorman immediately retrieved our luggage from the cab. Another doorman opened the djerba of the hotel for us. The breakfast was sumptuous. The omelet chef came out to insure that omelet was good. In the evening they sabered open a bottle of champagne and served it to guests. The lobby is outstanding. The service is impeccable. The St. Regis is one of the finest hotels in which we have ever stayed.

What an incredibly impressive hotel! The majesty of this hotel is overpowering and exudes elegance, luxury, traditional and classic all at the same time. Check in went was very smooth with only x2 check in desks nestled next to the concierge but surprisingly we did not wait long at all. The entrance of the hotel will be jaw dropping as you enter and later on in the evening this will be the hub of the hotel. Fast lifts took us to our floor and walking along the immense corridors to your room was exciting by itself. The room was a great size, every inch of the room was plush and above all, comfortable. The bed was HEAVENLY and the linen was just divine. The bathroom was beautiful with Acqua di Parma products plus little extra things like toner and mouth wash provided. The wardrobes lit up every time you opened the doors and all the little extras like cushioned coat hangers to hang your more delicate items were just very well thought out. It did take us a little while trying to work out how to use the coffee machine but all was forgiven as it was in the style of classic Italian paintings! Free bottles of Acqua Panna and coffee capsules were appreciated. Some elements did fall short in our opinion. The pressure in the shower was just ok borderline weak. Not enough to cause complaint but could be better. We came back to our room one day and the glass far containing the decaf coffee capsules had shattered somehow so we needed to carefully dispose of it in the bin. Lastly we forgot to put do not disturb on one time and during turn down housekeeping opened the door and gave us a small surprise, and we were curtly told off for not putting DND on. I guess quite rightly! We did use the ancient lift to go to the spa, it was delightful using such an archaic lift and fun at the same time. The spa is small, just a sauna to use which is rather tight on space! We didn’t have time for a treatment so perhaps on our next stay. We did come down for the daily 7pm ceremonial opening of the champagne by sword event. This was spectacular and a must see. The piano playing in the background was exquisite. We had some champagne whilst there is an open bar area to take your own nuts and nibbles as you please. The barman were very serious looking even when we tried to engage as we sat at the bar for a cocktail. We didn’t experience breakfast on this occasion but I’m certain a grandiose affair would be on offer. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly, a few things would make our stay a full 5* but would recommend to anyone.

This hotel is beautiful. The entire staff is incredible. Very welcoming and friendly. I don't usually write reviews, but feel compelled to after this stay. From the not one, but two, surprise welcome gifts in the room to celebrate the special occasion to one of the waitstaff going out of his way to handle a currency exchange due to the next day being a Sunday ("you are on vacation, you shouldn't have to worry") to multiple other things, this place was great. A museum with guest rooms.
