We have been to The Sands many times. We just love the resort and the staff is always so accommodating. My husband and I usually try to go in Dec. for my birthday and then in Feb or March. We will get back at some point in early spring of 2025 we hope!! We want to thank Yudelka for helping with our reservation last time she was so helpful. As always we want to thank our friend Barbara Rigby who is always available when you need her. The consummate professional. The ladies at the front desk skilled and knowledgeable especially Meshell Cox.The rooms are nicely updated and some have kitchens and most have lovely views. Anyone staying at the Sands must go to Hemingways Resturant!! The food is amazing from Chef Alix. We love the lobster and filet!! also the local favorite and ours too, the conch fritters served in a beautiful shell !! When needing a reservation and a special request for a party or Birthday, Carolyn is always there to make it happen. When at the bar WES makes incredible cocktails ask for his suggestions :) The beach is heavenly and Delroy is the person to help you book that special excursion. His crew always attentive to your needs on the beach. Hope to visit this very special resort soon 🌸🙏💕

The beach is amazing. You need to know the secret formula for ensuring that you get chairs and an umbrella by checking in with The Beach Boys. The one bedroom ocean view suite was the last building from the water and we were glad it was the top floor to be able to get a view. Inside, it was spacious, but tired. Despite an apparent kitchen update, the coffee maker was broken, lights burned out and a spartan number of cooking utensils. Our WiFi was out for a day and a half in our room and random other locations on the property, but was rock solid on the beach thank goodness. We received a note that the outage was due to the power company doing work on the lines, but I scratched my head a little bit on that one since many other places on the grounds never had an issue. There were several other niggly things that you would wonder why they weren’t addressed. Hopefully the management will figure out that it needs to audit the units and address issues before guests have to point them out.

Did not stay here, tried to but they got greedy. Booked a 3br condo, paid $4k+ deposit, they contacted us and informed us the booking was incorrect and the right amount of taxes and fees were not charged. Although the pricing on website said “includes taxes and fees” they would not honor the price and wanted to add an additional $2.7k onto the final price. Cancelled our booking and will be choosing a different island.

The sands is great resort situated at a convenient location on Grace Bay. There is lots of shopping and restaurants a short drive / bike ride away. The property itself is beautiful, with large rooms, more like apartments, with screened in porches. The beach and pool were pristine.

This was our eighth visit to Provo and stay at The Sands. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. After a long day, we were greeted with cool towels and rum punches. The staff was waiting with smiles and everyone was wonderful. The Sands is affordable for us, and that allows us to stay more than twice as long. For our budget, we usually opt for the Courtyard view, but this visit we were upgraded to a garden view. This was our first time in building #2 (first floor), and we loved being able to walk a few steps from our screened-in porch to one of the smaller pools (which was pretty much our private pool). The newly furnished rooms were just beautiful, and we loved having the washer/dryer. Also, thank you for the thoughtful bottle of wine to welcome us and add to our anniversary celebration. We love going in October and we were fortunate to have great weather. Counting down the days til our return (God willing...next year).

This was our first time on the island and we stayed in this hotel from Saturday through Wednesday. Overall, our room was good. It was clean. It was functional everything worked. In fact the weather was in the 90s with a feel like 102 the air conditioning did great and kept the room very cool, the hotel itself had three pools that were small but had a lot of privacy. We were there in early October and so there was very little people staying and a lot of days we had the pool to ourselves. It’s right on the beach. They have towels and chairs and umbrellas for you they also have a restaurant called Hemingway. That’s right on the beach by the property, very nice and helpful. There was a hot tub, but it was small and it kind of looked dirty so we didn’t use it. They did have bikes that you could use for free of charge but we walked most places. It’s probably a 10 or 15 minute walk to the downtown area. Felt very safe. They had a pickle ball and basketball court that you could play on.. they have like five buildings and only one of them has an elevator so if you can’t do steps, make sure that you tell them when you’re making the reservation so you can get into the appropriate area.

We stayed at The Sands on Grace Bay twice, November 2022 and November 2023. On both occasions we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - hence the reason we returned in Nov 2023 after our initial stay in Nov 2022. We stayed in a suite with a separate bedroom, living room, fully functional kitchen and balcony. The staff are lovely and very responsive to your needs. The beach and the beach facilities are on par with what you would expect from a top quality resort on Grace Bay. Even at busy times we always found sun chairs and umbrellas available. The sand is pristine powdery white and the water is crystal clear. We are certain that we will return to The Sands on Grace Bay in the near future.

From the minute we arrived (in the rain) we were welcomed by Tracy at the front desk. Everything was promptly ready for us at check in and I was so excited with our room selection!! We were in room 3301 and when I say breathtaking from the moment we opened our door still doesn’t provide the description deserved! I’m not sure what room could even be better than this Oceanfront suite. It’s on a corner and we had views sprawling from one end to the other! This was a trip I booked last year for our 30th wedding anniversary and my birthday. I can say this was the most beautiful suite we have ever stayed in. (I am a travel agent) and this stay well exceeded all my expectations. I want to mention that I have read and heard some chatter around the staff not showing a great deal of “thankfulness” and some went as far as to say they were rude. THIS IS NOT A FAIR OR ACCURATE STATEMENT. We never came across one staff member that fit that description. We did on the other hand witness some guests being extremely rude and felt entitled enough to treat the staff rudely. We aren’t typically huge pool people because we love the beach so much, but we absolutely loved the pools. They never felt crowded we could always finds chairs and it was the perfect place to meet our many new friends! Now the BEACH! I cant even describe how absolutely stunning the beach and water are on Grace Bay! The staff on the beach were always so helpful. John always went out of the way to assure we had the perfect spot on the beach. He provided top notch service all the way around every day! I wish I could remember the name of our housekeeper. She took such excellent care of our suite during our stay. Hopefully you can look up her name the week we were there from July 14 - July 21. I read so many reviews about how expensive taxis were there. We met a few drivers that actually picked us up from the airport and referrals from other guests. We were able to go anywhere for no more than 10 dollars total. We went to grocery store to purchase our staple items including water, bread, milk , bacon, turkey for sandwiches, condiments and much more for under 100.00. Lasted our entire week and made several meal’s. We hope to return to Paradise soon! Thank you to all the staff at the Sands for an amazing celebration!

I would first like to praise Wichlande Clark for amazing customer service at the front desk. Wichlande understood a billing error when others seemed to struggle with the issue. I will send a letter to corporate and hopefully you will be in line for a promotion in the future. Thank you for the help! I booked the Sands several months in advance as I read it would be going through a major renovation. We stayed on July 5th, 2024, in the junior suite ocean front room. The landscaping is amazing and the workers keep the grounds looking great. They deserve credit for working in that humidity and keeping everything looking nice. The pools are nice and also maintained. There were plenty of places to sit and a nice restaurant called Hemingways is right beside the pool area. Hemingways was a great place to dine and the servers were fast. The two ladies that serve the outside area were incredible, I wish I knew their names. I can tell where renovations were made but, SOMEONE FORGOT TO DECORATE THE ROOM. I'm not an interior decorator but I really felt like I was staying in a hospital room with the smallest TV I've ever seen. Is it too difficult to add some colorful paint or some photos? Is it too difficult to add some personality to the room? Was I staying in a Covid quarantine room on lockdown??? The best part was the patio where I could walk out to the beach, but even that patio area could use some decor. Maybe the other rooms were updated, but I figured the oceanfront suites would be the best looking and this was not the case. If you don't mind a depressing looking room The Sands is for you. The beach is the star of the show anyway.
